Okay out of character explanation: there are two unexplored hexes next to the rickety bridge you said they might be around. Autumn wants to explore one of them before heading back up to Oleg's. I didn't really have a way to explain that in character so I just tried my best, sorry if it didn't read properly.
As for which of the two hexes, I suggest the closest one if only because it is the closest one.

Autumn Moon |

This is true, some times you try and some thing just doesn't connect.

Autumn Moon |

Hmm, there seems to be a small bit of miscommunication. I maybe wrong so if I am please correct me! But I think the GM is a day ahead of us, or we are a day behind in thought. Really either works in this case. Herger remained at camp while we hunted for rabbits to have for dinner that night. But we are now into the next day as well. So there is a split there. Hunting the rabbits, then seeing the thing in the distance. We've kinda mixed the two...

GM Waterhammer |

Okay, so Herger is with the group. Some miscommunication on my part as well.
Note: The landscape is not so barren that stealth is impossible. There are shrubs, trees, and shallow ridges, and valleys. As always, if you are horseback, you would use the horse's stealth score.
Also, perception works both ways. If you are too far away to see someone, then they are also too far away to see you. Barring magic means or a telescope or some such.

Autumn Moon |

Well higher ground does give you a bit of an advantage. You might be able to see somethings moving, but you wouldn't be able to really tell what it is. Though there are way more variables that would come into play...
Also! I have no pricing to rabbit fur... The closest I've got is ermine fur and it runs about 4 gold a pelts.

Torek Vakt |

I agree that some stealth would be possible in all but the most open country, but it would be very difficult with a large group, on horseback with many members unfamiliar with wilderness living, being stealthy, having good skill/control of our horses and only have worked together for a few days. Maybe the stealthy characters could hide off horseback, and sneak up on the hill, but that splits the party. However, I just noticed that Drazen is skilled in stealth, so sneaking is a bit better an option than I thought. Torek should have taken that into account and maybe said it better. Just my two cents.

Autumn Moon |

Did you guys know that Golarian has it's own zodiac?
It's pretty cool if you all want to see it. This is it.
Autumn's star sign in The Mother, which I think is kinda fitting.

Autumn Moon |

There are?! Where? I wanna read these!

GM Waterhammer |

I really don't like critical fail rules. A 1 is an auto miss in combat, but not an auto fail for skill use. If Torek heard the voices, but just ignored them to get more shut eye that's cool. Every weekend I hit the button on my alarm clock, so I can sleep in. Wakes me up, but I know what it is, and that I don't need to get to work on this day. That's kind of what I figured happened. Torek heard the sounds, but knew it wasn't a threat, so went back to sleep.
Autumn is at the threshold for forced march.

Should we start to do more exploring and less roleplay. I think in the speed we do it know we finish the first book in 2021?`
Just kidding, but we know each other well enough now and we could do some serious adventuring!

Autumn Moon |

Yeah, Autumn needs sleep. Lots and lots of sleep.
@Titian: Also Torek made a request of Titian. Just incase you missed it.

GM Waterhammer |

The speed of the game is governed by posting rate, not roleplay. Everybody does a daily posting (including me) and we'd move right along.
Speaking of that, I shall be on vacation from May 2nd through May 17. Won't have my gaming materials with me, and will be dependant on wifi for internet, so my posting is very likely to be spotty to non existent.
I do plan on leaving you with a little homework assignment. That being, you can do a game month of downtime activities. It will give everyone a chance to familiarize themselves with that ruleset. I'll set that up later.

Autumn Moon |

Oooh! That would also allow us to focus upon character to character interaction! Not that we can't focus on them now, but we won't have to worry about it holding up others.

Griar spends a couple of days hunting for the farmers, while the shop is closed. He takes some time off when he should be working, to meet the fine folk of Mut. Shaking hands, kissing babies. That sort of thing. He barters his bow work for labor work to be done next week, and really doesn't make much in the way of spending money for the week. Good thing those heists went so well...
.
'
Not allowing downtime XP gain. Skip the event phase for now.
You can go from Gozran 24 to Desnus 31. Deznus follows Gozran, the current month. That makes 38 days of possible downtime activities, though many folks take Starday, or Sunday off. Or both. The local folk don't have any holidays in the month of Deznus.
I left the flavor text spoiler in, but that sort of thing should go in the Gameplay thread.

Autumn Moon |

Have fun on you vacation!
Do you guys think the GM would mind if we moved the group to Oleg's to do the downtime? If he doesn't get a chance to reply on vacation and all?

Autumn Moon |

I would say yes, if Titian doesn't have anything he wants to say or do.

Autumn Moon |

I'd like to go a few days at a time!

Autumn Moon |

Yes he did, as he will not be able to get on reliably and will not have his game stuff with him. Thus the downtime homework and rping.

Autumn Moon |

Okay so we have seven days to do our downtime "homework". We have 38 days to go through. If we divide 38/7 that is 5 weeks and 4 days. Taking into account that most done work two days out of the week, then 12 of those days are not working days. So 26 of those 38 days are what we need to work on... although that isn't taking into account the days it will take us to get back to Oleg's... which I would day maybe, two days? Three?
Edit: Actually it may only take 1 day as the GM has the day we are on listed as Gozran 22nd Wealday and our homework starts on Gozran 24 Fireday. Also Sunday is the only listened day off for religious reasons, but as Oathday is often set aside for oath making and the signing of contracts it is likely people take that day off too.

Torek Vakt |

I suspect that for most people one day a week is the most they can afford to take off, rich people might take two. But if we want to rest ourselves a bit do to the heavy pace of our adventures, that works too.
I guess it's about what we want to do, as well but 25-30 days seems reasonable.

Autumn Moon |

I am in agreement, everyone else?

Autumn Moon |

Well I plan to have Autumn start with her training of Ulfger. Then making a bow for the lad. Also selling bows and arrows to the local hunters.

Torek Vakt |

I will go along with the majority here, but a few more days of rest seem more realistic to me. Only one day a month for rest wears people down, not that it didn't happen but when people, even very hardworking ones, had a chance not to work at that pace they didn't.
I expect Torek to accomplish a few things here. Spend a few days at most trying to see if anyone knows anything about the watchtower and the people that are there.
Then he wants to get instructions in the arts of handing animals(horses in particular) and riding.
Any remaining time to be spent hunting/patrolling.
Comment/questions welcome.

Autumn Moon |

Oh my god I just got done doing my first six days... That literally took me all night.
The charter doesn't really give us power over the Outpost. The fact we saved them from some bandits is what gives Autumn and Herger power there. They know they can trust us. That said, speaking with Keston with it might carry more weight.

Autumn Moon |

So for Herger and Drazen, I did a bit of math. (Mine is also included) So I put together how much Goods, Influence, Labor, and Magic you'll need for your building, homes, such. This would be a great time to start building up your pools for what you'll need. Because... man some of ya need a lot. Also Titian I seem to be missing yours it must have fallen out of my binder at home. So I'll add up yours once I get home! And Torek if you want me to draw up something for you as well please let me know! Herger has a farm and farmhouse, Drazen has a house and tavern, and Titian has a ranch and ranch house! Oh and of course Autumn has her little Archery store. (Like seriously her is the smallest of all so far.)
Autumn's total
Goods: 34
Gathered by Craft, Handle Animal, knowledge Geography, Profession
Influence: 2
Gathered by Craft, Handle Animal, Heal, Knowledge Geography Knowledge
Nature, Profession
Labor: 29
Gathered by Craft, Handle Animal, Profession, Survival
Magic: 0
Drazen's total
Goods: 68
Gathered by Bluff, Diplomacy, Stealth
Influence: 4
Gathered by Bluff, Diplomacy
Labor: 64
Gathered by Bluff, Diplomacy
Magic: 1
Gathered by Diplomacy
Herger's total
Goods: 132
Gathered by Diplomacy, Knowledge Religion
Influence: 5
Gathered by Diplomacy, Heal, Knowledge Religion
Labor: 125
Gathered by Diplomacy
Magic: 1
Gathered by Diplomacy, Heal, Knowledge Religion, Spellcraft
Okay so there are the totals! Again Titian I am sorry, but I will do yours once I get home!
The skills listed under the types needed are the skills your character has which can gather the related types. I am completely okay if you all want to add all of the totals together and do a pool collection, as Autumn does have a lot more variety and it could make it easier. But it is up to each of you! I hope you all find this helpful.
Note
You get them by the rolls as such
10-> 1
20-> 2
30-> 3
40-> 4
Etc.

Drazen Prasec |

I'll never live up to Autumn's last post in the Gameplay thread! Nice work!
...But I will post something ASAP :)
That being said, I may not start with a house and tavern, under the circumstances. In fact, I am not sure about the relevance of the tavern given that there is one already in Oleg's Outpost. I may begin by recruiting people. An entourage? A few warriors? To be determined...

Autumn Moon |

Haha! You should have known! You've seen what I'm capable of!
Also I wasn't meaning we should build stuff now, but start building up a pool for the points as we have not picked a place to settle yet.
