Sadly, as it is the nature of pbp, my RotRL game as lost a few players and I'm looking for new blood. Probably no more then a couple of new PCs.
You would start at level 2 and playtest version of the Advanced Players Guide classes are available. Characters with a good concept and well integrated in the Golarion/Varisia/Sandpoint world will get priority.
Here's a few more guidelines:
* Use 20 points (high fantasy) to purchase your ability scores.
* You get max hp and average starting gold at lvl 1 (Average hp values for the subsequent lvls).
* Choose one trait from http://paizo.com/traits and I'll give you another one (it might be a 'custom' one) based on what you write as a background.
* Consult the campaign’s players’ guide for information on Sandpoint and Varisia and try to explain why your character is in Sandpoint at the moment of the Swallowtail Festival (this can be really simple ... you could just live there for example).
Any interest ?

What kind of characters are the remaining players playing?

I am interested. Here is my concept:
Name: Sojourn Donkellop
Race: Gnome
Class: Summoner
Traits: Excitable
Personality:
Sojourn is fascinated with practically everything. He has an insatiable curiosity (some call it dangerous), but he hasn’t found anything he couldn’t handle yet! He is very personable and uses his small stature to its best advantage (mostly by hiding behind big people). He is not cowardly, per se, but he is deathly afraid of engaging in melee combat. His affinity to his Eidolon, his quadruped companion, is one of mutual respect and protection. He cares for it and speaks to it as it were family.
He tends to be impatient if things aren’t moving quickly enough. He craves excitement and sometimes sets things in motion to get it if he gets bored (which is often).
Motivations:
Sojourn is interested mostly in what the world has to offer. This quest has provided him a great opportunity to get out and experience it firsthand. He is not content to sit on the sidelines but to act (sometimes before thinking things through). He is interested in so much that sometimes even the most mundane items consume him as he considers the possibilities of where it has been. His current addiction is the occult – everything from extra-planar and the fey to the First World.
Aspirations:
Sojourn strives to understand his heritage and that of the mysterious Fey as well. He seeks to make his mark in this world to show that size matters not.
Background:
Sojourn is a gypsy at heart. He has traveled extensively throughout Golarian, moving from one settlement to another. If it weren’t for the fact that his abilities were innate, he would have little or no skills at all. His attentions are fleeting and swing from one subject to another quite often.
As a child, he was alone quite often, as his parents were pioneers who struggled to tame the land around them. He often sought companionship from nature as a result of his loneliness. From an early age, animals and creatures always seemed to be around him. He learned that if he concentrated hard enough, they would find their way to him. His connection with his eidolon came by accident. He discovered a strange summoning ritual from a wandering traveler and had to have it. Once attaining it (after incessant pestering to the owner), he attempted to study it but couldn’t wait to do it properly. He set about speaking the words and making the gestures in short order. Surprisingly, the worse thing that happened was waking up later with a dragon-shaped brand on his neck and being licked by a wingless dragon-looking creature. That creature had the same brand on its neck. Since then, the two have been inseparable. You can often find them conversing, sometimes without words at all. Boon, as the eidolon is often called, is overly protective of Sojourn. Sojourn, in turn, expects Boon to be treated as any other sentient being. In fact, Sojourn considers himself an animal-rights activist.
Sandpoint Connection:
Sojourn doesn't let the grass grow under his feet very often. If there is a party to be had, then that is where he will be!

Yep. Of course, I came in after the raid.
And I's good singing keepings I endeared! As the goblin rogue in question, I can say that Reptilian was very generous and gave me permission to play one, as long as I didn't betray the goblins-are-the-enemies theme. I was also to avoid being too malicious. This left me with a pretty annoying character, since being malicious and being annoying are essentially the two things that make goblins goblins.
That, and stupidity. After a few incidents, I think Reptilian may be regretting his choice. To say nothing of the other players. :P

Reptilian |

I did say 'don't ask' didn't I? ;)
In all seriousness, I was very hesitant to allow a goblin in the party but I think Kobold Cleaver (aka Darst)and the rest of the party have been good sports about it. He's not accepted with open arms but the group can also see his uses. In any case, the module mentions that the goblin population is kept in check by disputes between tribes and strife inside them. It's not like goblin on goblin violence is uncommon.

Digger |

I have a Dwarven Druid/Fighter concept that I have rolling around in my mind.
Do we need to submit a fully finished char for review, or the initial concept?
As for why he is in Sandpoint, after the death of his wife Kortus could not be in the mountain home of his clan. Seeking a new purpose, he traveled with a Druid of Erastil learning their ways in an attempt to move beyond his grief.
Stopping in Sandpoint, he found a new purpose with the town as both a spiritual voice as well as blacksmith.

ZetaGilgamesh |

I have a concept for a Andoran soldier that was "released" from service due to slight control problems on the field of battle. He doesn't really know where he fits in the grand scheme of things now and is looking for direction/challenge.
Human/Barbarian
-Controlled, erudite, responsible...except in battle. The "clean" barbarian.

Reptilian,
Talomyr here apparently I have a bit more free time than I thought I did therefore, I would like to submit Calathes Neverion for potential inclusion into your Rise of the Runelords game. Hopefully I'm not too late.
Thanks.
Quick question:
* You get max hp and average starting gold at lvl 1 (Average hp values for the subsequent lvls).
Any change in gold since these are 2nd level characters?

I would LOVE to get involved in this! I've been a long time lurker of this thread for a while now.
heres my submission: Amrunelara Moonlance, chaotic good female elven fighter. Hails from arsmeril in the mierani forest, Amrunelara is solemn and somber elf who barely speaks about from when asking questions...which she does a lot! she believes that learning from the world outside the forest, the world of the humans, is the only way the elves can prevent tradgedies like what happened to the city of emrald rains from happening again.
she finds true beauty in the mastery of the blade and truly enjoys every battle. Anyone who watches her fight can see she always has a smile on her face. She doesnt enjoy causing pain or killing though and will always try to revive her opponents if they do not seem wholly evil.
After the elves of Arsmeril heard of the goblin attacks on sandpoint Amrunelara was sent to sandpoint by the instructors of her "blade academy" to assess the threat of the goblin menace and establish whether they were a threat to the forest. Amrunelara herself see's it as a chance to learn as much as possible about human culture and the outside world, whilst further homing her "art"
I'm going to take Amrunelara in the direction of a dex based fighter specialising in elven curve blade. really hope i get in!!
ps. big fan of darst!

Logen Vallenwood |

Appears I'm late to the party, but I too would be absolutely thrilled to get in on this PBP. I haven't seen a RotRL opening for awhile actually. :O
I'm offering up Logen Vallenwood, neutral goood cleric of the minor deity Kurgess. He's the god of strength, competition, and self-sacrifice. Kinda like the god of well-conducted sporting events if you would haha. :P
Logen grew up on a farm around Sandpoint while his parents told him tales of this god, and eventually moved to worshipping the figure as he learned more.
Word of a festival in the nearby town of Sandpoint got his attention, and he wants to prove himself in the sporting events he assumes are over there just like Kurgess did all those years ago.
Except he might get a bit more than he bargained for... ;]
His main weapons are javelins, but he's got a spiked gauntlet handy if foes get too close in melee. Logen can heal, and cast spells as well.
He's really a friendly, jovial guy who just wants to have fun and become just as well known as his holy idol. Hopefully that's enough info, and here's to hoping Logen gets accepted. Cheers! :]

I vote for his. Throw big support backwards him. That help, yes?
Allan_Treebeard |

She's an elf sent to help Sandpoint assess the goblins and see if they are a threat, you are a goblin and few people in Sandpoint think you had nothing to do with the raid...
Sounds like another member of Team Fairchild is an option for our group.
The elf in me says "kill!!" but the child in me says "awesome!!" + team fairchild is an brilliant name!

I've made the hard choice and selected 2 characters that will join our game (hopefully).
*Drum roll*
Kortus Ironhelm (played by Digger)
and Amrubelara Moonlance (played Allan_Treebeard). Second time is the charm I guess since I almost selected that other character when I started the game.
Please go to the discussion thread and try to finish your characters.
Sorry to all others, you guys make me wish I had time to run a second game.
