Yeah, big weekend if you follow or play football (as Ash does), not so much if you don't (like me).

XP time!

For planning the attack on the goblins, the combat itself, and roleplaying after Jirkin's death and the funeral, Alton, Laithe and Keildrithe each get 680 experience points.

Yeehaw... ;-)

If you havent already done so, can you guys list your xp total in your character profile?

I dont think so .... but did anyone level from this?

Male Impoverished Student 2/Amateur Chef 3

I think that that brings my total XP up to 1680. Am I forgetting anything?

Arctaris, I put you at about

Spoiler:
1925 xp total

Okay.

I've updated Laithe's profile for xp and spells, he doesn't gain a level.

FYI Mothman, Laithe also cast a cure light and cure minor wounds on himself for a total of 6 hp healed.

I still haven't marked down Laithe's share of the treasure taken thus far (I may have missed a previous post where we did this? Mothman, is it possible to get a list on what we have gathered thus far, who had what and what (if anything) remains unclaimed?

Male Impoverished Student 2/Amateur Chef 3

The treasure list is on the last page of this thread.

I need to update that as well, especially Jirkin's stuff.

Hey Vendle, you still around man? I know there's not an awful lot happening at the "meanwhile back at the village" thread with Utak away, but there's something there for you to respond to if you're eager to get going

Ok, here is a list of all the treasure you have accumulated so far (as far as I can tell). Where I have put someone's name next to something, it is because that person has already claimed something in game and/or added it to their character sheet. Note that someone could attempt to appraise some of the items if they like.

From Gosias Cottage:
Potion of Climbing (Alton)
Potion of Change
Pendant
12 gp

From standing stone clearing:
Spindle shaped button (Alton)
1 cp

From stone monument in valley:
3 misshapen pearls
42 sp
18 gp
masterwork shortsword with broken hilt (Alton)

From Jarred (if you want to take it – he has offered):
97 sp
32 gp
9 misshapen pearls
Longfang dagger (Alton)

From the goblins:
325 cp
165 sp
40 gp
spellbook
2 silver goblets
pottery bowl (with blue paste)
mahogany pipe and tobacco
woman’s silver hair comb
club made from human skull
bamboo blowgun
4 darts
bag of red paste
clay bottle of blue liquid
3 blue mushrooms
necklace of red clay beads and wolves teeth
pretty copper bracelet

Jirkin’s possessions:
Mask
Waterskin
Backpack
Spellbook
Scroll

Male Human Bard 1/Ranger 1/Expert 3

Okay, I'll add Jirkin's mask, spellbook and scroll to my gear, as well as Gosia's pendant, if no one objects. I would consider carrying the goblin spellbook, as well, but I worry that it will overencumber me... (actually, I should check that Jirkin's spellbook won't cause the same problem... how much do the spellbooks weigh, Mothman?).

3 pounds each.

Sovereign Court

Male human (humanoid) 18wizard (diviner) /18sorcerer (arcane bloodline)

I'm still around. I've been waiting until my turn comes around again to make a new post. I see I made a minor mistake with regard to the tavern, but it can be brushed over.

Thanks for the list Mothman.

Ok, if we split the money 4 ways it comes to 25gp, 81sp, 81cp.
As Alton suggested, we can potentially look at selling the pearls, goblets, hair comb etc in town.

One thing though, the silver hair comb and copper bracelet may be evidence that the goblins were involved in the abduction of the children. If we can match any of these items to any of the missing girls, then we can make a solid link between the goblins and the abductions, and we badly need something like that!

Which means we should seek out the parents when we make town and ask them if they recognise and of the items. Speaking of which, it would be good to speak to them anyway, as they might yield more information on the manner in which the girls went missing.

The potion of change should also be kept as a last resort if we have to resort to breaking Gosia out. We can either use it to imitate Vorn or another official, or to make one of us look like Gosia and lead the chase away while the rest sneak her out quietly. Anyway, I'm getting a bit ahead of myself...

Excellent suggestions all around. If time permits, perhaps we should track down the families before we go to the Inquisitor...

Note that this money split that Ash has posted includes the money from Gosia's cottage and the stuff Jarred offered you. Both were very insistant that you could take and use their gold, but I'm not totally clear on whether you guys had decided to.

Also, no-one has said they have closely examined the comb or bracelet.

Laithe examines the comb and the bracelet closely!

Yep, that's right about the gold. I guess maybe it is better to wait on that stuff before divvying it out. Gosia may need it to rebuild after this ordeal - and same goes for Jarred for that matter. Can we assume someone is carrying all the gold/treasure thus far unclaimed until later in the game?

Sorry I havn't replied yet. I let the weekend get away from me.

First off: Happy Belated B-Day, Mothman.

TwiceBorn,

The wife and I had an excellent time. The foilage was beautiful this time of year and the weather gave me a break from the heat. These cruise ships give incredible service. All of the workers were calling me Sir Gerald (That's my real name, but without the Sir). I felt like a Knight. My favorite spot was Cornerbrook in Newfoundland. We are talking about spending a week up there on our next vacation.

Well, with all of the food they put in front of you, I am probably ten pounds heavier. Double time at the gym for the next few weeks, but it was well worth it. It was just nice to get away for awhile.

Your Country is amazing. The people we met are so friendly and the landscapes are breathtaking!

Sir Gerald,

I'm glad you and your wife had such an excellent trip (much needed after your recent ordeal, I'm sure), and that my countrymen treated you well. I've never been to Newfoundland, but it's one of the places in the country I'd most like to see (maritimers are famed for their hospitality, and I love rugged coastal scenery). Thing is, it would cost me almost as much to fly there as it would to fly to Europe!

Lookin' forward to gaming with you again...

Hey, welcome back Utak? How's the old battle wound going? Sounds like it was a good holiday!

Listen, with this alternate game thread for yourself and Vendle, things might not quite gel, timing wise with the main group (considering you are in day 1, and they are close to retunring to the village on day 4 or so...) There may come a point where I'll need to call a halt to the action, give you a summary of events, and skip ahead. Cool?

Thanks, It is good to be back. All healed up and ready to go.

Don't fret the other thread. I'll RP until you're ready to combine the groups. Feel free to do what needs to be done to keep the game going. I am yours to control. Well, not really, but I'm still fairly flexible :)

Cheers

I don't mind pausing the main game for a few days (or few weeks, if need be), if Vendle and Utak would like to play through their 4 days in the village. Whatever works best with everyone will be fine with me...

Did you catch my post in the game thread in regards to this?

DM Mothman:

Spoiler:
Hey just thinking about my background. I tend to make characters with obsessive motivations. (ie: This whole journey to find this Tomb of Knowledge) If you would prefer, I could lay off the whole map/terrain angle that I am currenly on if it might throw off your intentions for the campaign.

Alternatively, if you gave Kajetan's background and journey any thought, here is one thought. The Tomb of Knowledge information that Kajetan found is actually just an ancient fable forgotten from time. It was meant to teach children that knowledge is power, but using that power for personal and selfish intentions could be very dangerous. Kajetan just happened upon part of the tale, and he was not able to discern the difference between fact and fiction.

Just a thought I wanted to throw your way.

On another matter. Just my two cents, I would rather join up with the rest of the group as quickly as possible. I really want to get back into playing with TwiceBorn and having more players to interact with will be more interesting IMHO. Also, Kajetan is currently stuck on the bench until Vendle replies.

Hey guys, remember that being diplomatic requires a diplomacy check, being intimidating requires an intimidate check, etc. I can make the rolls for you, but I won't necessarily get a good roll, and you wont be able to judge how "diplomatic" you're being (based on the roll) and roleplaying accordingly...

Male Impoverished Student 2/Amateur Chef 3

I stab stuff. Diplomacy isn't really my strong suit.
