No doubt, our treasury is doing well at the moment. With it being more flush than expected, we have the extra room for an additional building. With the lax initial building rules as Wastrel noted, we could get the tannery up on safely being that we will likely generate at least a few extra BP even with some bad rolls after we get the next farm up.

We should build the tannery in a corner of what will be the industrial side of town. Preferably on the other side of the wind so that the whole place doesn't smell like ass. Oh yeah, tanneries produce some lovely smells. With that in mind, 24 might not be the worst, but in a sense, I'm coming to regret building one, haha!

Can't we locate it outside of town but have the warehouse inside the village? xD

edit - @Narièl and Wastrel: maybe we should change the tannery for a second tile of housing? Our +ECO bonus seems solid enough as is for now.

I'm fine with housing. Once that's in place, we should have more than enough roofs (and place for additional houses) for quite some time to come. In a sense, housing is nothing but an unrest reducer, but it seems weird that a city can be 80% specialist buildings and 20% housing going by RAW.

The housing is more immediate knowing population requirements now; without additional housing, it we incur unnecessary unrest, so I'm happy to double down on housing this turn, which brings our cost total for turn #2 to 20 BP.

The tannery can probably wait to next turn, making our revised schedule look as follows:

We'll see what the next round looks like for economy before making any additional changes. At some point, we'll get low in our treasury and need to just hold a collect taxes and income for a round or two I should think.

I mean, every tile you cover equals roughly +/- 250 pop, so when the NPCs tell us we have a housing shortage (and we see lots of camps/tents on the map) there's a reason to build some more, but per RAW, housing is mostly a means to an end to stomp out unrest *and* gain more population.

There also costs involved with building in 'unprepped' districts, but since we're on a plains tile, that shouldn't hurt much.

And yes, I'm going over all the rules again and wow, I'm still learning new things :P

I like that plan. The Shrike river might serve as a border of sorts between us and whoever is east of us, but if there's something valuable down there, we ought to find out ASAP so that we can take that into account when it comes to claiming new hexes.

One last thing before we embark: is the loot sheet up to date? It says we still have a whole lotta gold in our pockets and if so, I suggest we really do spend some.

But seeing as we all spend a whole bunch of gold on the first day in Restov, this obviously can't be right. Since the sheet is excel magic beyond my command, I won't touch it, but do say if you need some help! Digging up info is something I am decent at ;)

The spend limit in your new town is 500 gp. If you didn't buy in Restov, well, too bad.

...but more seriously, do ensure that you're locked and loaded, loot sheets, stat lines and character sheets are up to date, and that your tray table is stowed away before heading into the wilderness. No food or fuel next 1,000 miles.

On a more serious note, Nariel will write up a few scrolls of Mirror Image for 150g before we head out. I'll make the adjustment to the spreadsheet tonight; I will also have a closer look at it, be sure that it's up to date this weekend.

I also want to take a look at the spreadsheet Aivar linked earlier in more detail, would save me some work if it's done well.

I think I know where we went wrong with the loot sheet, some of the items purchased with cash did not have their values deducted from the communal gold cell. While items we've sold should have been added to that same cell and maybe removed from the sheet? I'm not certain. Maybe add a couple cells in the notes for 'items sold' and 'cash spent' the latter as a negative value, but I'm not entirely certain how the sheet works.

On the subject of shopping, I'm not 100% sure how we're handling the division of gold. I know this should have been done in Restov, but the one thing Sasha would like is a set of concealable theives' tools. 190 gp.

I have added notes and made the adjustments for loot we sold when we got back; what I don't have included is any items purchased by players other than the Metamagic Rod of Lesser Extend I picked up for Nariel. Can everyone just let me know what they purchased and have included on their character sheets? I'll make the update. I remember that Raquel picked up a Headband of Inspired Wisdom +2, but I can't recall the other purchases.

On another note, with low light vision, Nariel has twice the vision range humans do, so does that mean Nariel can see the entire battle field effectively?

@Nariel: you can't move and cast Summon Monster in the same round - it has a 1 round casting time.

I propose to move you back to where you were before you teleported, ready to cast Summon Monster next round.

Ugh sorry, I must have failed Pathfinder Action Economy 101. I always forget that it consumes both move and standard actions.

Okay, I'll leave her where she was; but since all she did was a move action during round one and can no longer cast a full-round action spell until next round, I might as well have her cast a defensive spell with the remaining standard action; mage armor is sounds like a good idea.

Yeah, I just wanted to indicate where I wanted it for the beginning of round 2. I was trying to do too much last night before I took off. I thought 5' steps didn't provoke opportunity? If it's followed up by other movements, then it does, but that's why I used shift, which doesn't provoke AoO.

If I'm wrong, then I guess she'll provoke an attack... at which point I'll cast then five step before shifting.

No, they don't but it looks from the map that wherever you 5 ft stepped to you would still end up taking an AoO from casting your spell (since you didn't cast it defensively).

Ah okay gotcha, I see what you mean now... you're right, I do need to cast defensively or incur an AoO. You'll have to forgive my errors, my tabletop group switched over to 5e last year, and since we haven't had an encounter in several months, my rule Pathfinder rule usage has become... sloppy. I used to be good at this stuff, honestly!

I'll endeavor to do better. I've included a defensive cast below if you'll allow it.

Defensive Cast: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

BTW - got bored last night and made up some tokens with some art I had kicking around that suited some of the characters (or at least what I had pictured). Not sure if they fit what you had in mind or if anyone is interested, but they're to the side if you want to have a look.

Don't have anything great for Aivar or Raquel at present, though I haven't looked either. Actually, I do have a good one for Aivar... just need to photoshop it to get the right color hair.

Also made one for the baddies.

No problem! I always make tokens for my table top crew using nice game art... should've offered to do this sooner XD

Once I edit the other two images, I'll make up tokens for them and add them in. I've added one for Raquel using the image above, as it doesn't need to change to drastically.

The rolldvantage.com has a free token maker that I've been using for a few years now.

As to the fight, we're getting kicked in the teeth here. Going to try and bring in some extra guns now. Nariel isn't much help Tristan much at the moment anyway, but an earth elemental or two can sure be.

Just realised I forgot Tristan was using his Satire ability. Doesn't affect the hits, the rolls were high enough even with the -1 penalty, but the damage is different. I'll do a new status update.
