I PMed him just now. He mentioned being sick earlier so hope its all good.
Heads up today, its parent/teacher conferences at my school so I will either be:
1. Not posting hardly at all because of so many parents
2. Posting lots because so few parents came
There is no middle ground. Usually a crazy day, and wont be home (in my comfortable posting position) until very late.

Also, although Pindleton wouldn't mind some extra funds for future expeditions, he is most concerned right now with the giant attacks. So he'd be inclined to go on Darathra's quest and warn others.
But he is flexible and open to whatever the group wants.

That's happened so many times to me that I now copy all my text before hitting Submit or Preview.
Even then, I sometimes forget. And usually when I do is the time it gets eaten. :(

The other day on my personal computer, when I visited the site I was logged in as some random person. I could even see all their games in the campaign info tab. Still a great site for pbp, just saying...pretty quirky at times.

So I just realised I've been making a mistake. Two mistakes, actually, one in my favour and one not.
1) I haven't been adding my duelist damage. All my attacks should be +2 damage.
2) Collosus Slayer is supposed to be 1/Turn, not 1/Attack. I've been using it twice per turn.
Oddly, this just about balances out. If I hit with both attacks, I have been gaining an average of 4.5 damage, but not including the extra 4 damage from duelist. If I hit with one attack, then the Collosus Slayer doesn't matter, but I still haven't received the +2 damage from duelist. I'd call it a wash.
I'll fix this going forward.

Considering how disorganized the PCs are, we may need external direction to assemble the avengers.

I am in the same boat. I am not sure what more I can do. I want to jump in, but am unsure how. Once we get the ball rolling I feel like I will have a grasp on it.
I didn't want to say anything and wait it out a bit, but I didn't want my lack of communication to seem like I am avoiding RPing or lack of interest.
If I am just missing a good chance to jump in let me know. I am sure if I had gone drinking it would help helped, but I thought jumping into adventuring would be better.

Can we head to Yartar to kill some hill giants? Maybe they ambus river boats. Find a boat to Everlund for the Harper's? However, looking at the map, while the river makes a U to Everlund from Yartar, there's a road going right there. So, whatever's easier or more exciting, I suppose.
Afterward we can deliver the note to the dwarves in third quest, because it's further away for the reward. One of the original PCs needs to collect the letter of recommendation from Ghelryn. To make that work.

Moving this discussion here vs Gameplay:
Ah yes. I somehow missed all the old dnd video games back in the day. I was never a PC gamer till recently so I was exposed to mostly JRPGs till much more recently. I only started playing Tabletop about 2 years ago. I jumped in with Pathfinder, but played a decent amount of 5e with friends. We were doing the Out of the Abyss adventure, but had to give up part of the way through.
So I never learned this world. Thanks for the heads up. I will dive in a bit. I think Dymm should really know more about the world.

I was thinking I might try something new and put character sheets on slides. What do you guys think? You could track inventory and status without having to edit your profile on paizo site all the time. I know Jysson has some oddness on phone at times, it would require typing in text boxes. I'll make an example later.

I am ok with either way. I have a back up of my character on Hero Lab. But I don't mind using whatever is best for you.
I will update my profile with inventory stuff. I will figure out the costs for horse (or whatever is the right size for me), and add it. Assuming I already owned it.

Ah, i didnt realize it had a ritual tag. Bards are able to do rituals too. I dont want to change my spells around though. I would not know you had it. So for now its fine. Going forward we can talk about new spells. :)
I will just change how i cast it to save a spell use today, just in case.

Do bards need to have the ritual prepared to cast it? Clerics and druids do, wizards don't (just has to be in the spellbook), but I'm not sure about bards.

Pindleton, I just noticed you hadn't leveled up to 6 yet. Or if you did you forgot to mark your 2 new expertises.

For Dymm: It's not on his sheet, but bards get jack of all trades, whichever adds +1/2 Prof bonus (rounded down) to all ability checks that he's not proficient in.
Initiative counts as that. :)
For Urth: you can tell by looking at his ability scores vs saves. He has wis/cha, which is in line with the cleric and his stated advancement. :)

So I've been thinking about the hills terrain and how it would apply to Natural Explorer. I live in the foothills, so I'm kind of around them all the time.
All the hills around where I live could be classified as one of three types: forested, grassy, mountainous. My house is on some very forested hills with steep slopes, so it could be mountain or forest for natural explorer. But driving to work, I pass through hills that have gentle slopes and covered with nothing but grass (green in the winter and spring, and a golden color in the summer and fall). Trees are sparse.
So it could be any of the three or even a combination of them.
But with all that, it seems odd that they wouldn't include it considering that the random encounter table in the back of the dmg has hills as a terrain type.

Urth, I appreciate the details of view distance from wikipedia as a dude with a physics degree and general interest in science. Still, just for simplicity's sake I use the visibility rules on 243 of the DMG:
VISIBILITY OUTDOORS
When traveling outdoors, characters can see about 2
miles in any direction on a clear day, or until the point
where trees, hills, or other obstructions block their view.
Rain normally cuts maximum visibility down to 1 mile,
and fog can cut it down to between 100 and 300 feet.
On a clear day, the characters can see 40 miles if they
are atop a mountain or a tall hill, or are otherwise able
to look down on the area around them from a height.
You'll note that works to your advantage. ;)

It's heavily dependent on the DM, as most illusions are.
If you've got a cool DM, illusions are awesome. Typically, "old school" DMs tend to be pretty cool with illusions.
3.X players tend not to trust DMs as much, and the loose definition of illusions spells tend to make them score low on a lot of guides. It requires thinking outside the box.

As an FYI for those new to 5e, the majority of spells do not destroy the spell components. That only happens if the spell specifically states that it consumes the components.

Urth is supposed to swear like a sailor as per as character creation. Read sailor. Actually I think the quote is like an otyugh’s nest.
Rukking comes from one of the last books I read that was effectively replacing f—zing. As well as great brass balls of the beast. I’m trying to be colourful, but I’ve stalled on those two. I was going to throw in a by volkur’s beard when he gets surprised next.
