Iso continues to holler for joy. "Faster! Go Faster!" while keeping his axe ready to strike at anything within range.
Finally he comes to understand the 'ghost weapon' is following him.
"Go Away Ghost Weapon. You Are Dead. Leave Iso Alone."

Kyra Soulkeeper |

Kyra attempts to get the reins of the sled again while Tytus works on his potions, leaving her space for him to fight.
Handle animal: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
"Go go go dogs! Go!"

Enora - pregen |

"Alright, now for a different tactic."
Enora raises her staff of embers and points it at the remaining sled. "Buh-bye!"
A massive fireball is launched from the staff of embers, and it crashes into the remaining sled and the dogs pulling it.
Fireball: 8d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 1, 1, 3, 2, 1, 5) = 17

"Did you get them?" asks Fenrik as he tries to keep the dog sled going faster to avoid their pursuers...
Handle Animal: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

Ok, thanks and sorry! Is it because he's an outsider or because of an immunity like elves don't sleep.
Tytus slows down the sled and switches places with Kyra. Johann also tries to slow down, but the dogs continue running. Iso tries to get rid of the spiritual weapon while Enora shoots a fire ball at the remaining sled. The ball explodes between the dogs and kills all of them.
Reflex dogs: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14 sure that's not enough
combat over
You hear Ephys cursing before he hits the snow. He tries to get after you but finally gives up running in the deep snow.
Tytus is able to move the trap out of the way and you are able to continue your trip down the mountain back to the way station.
If you want to stop and search/question these guys, please tell me ;)

Enora - pregen |

@GM: Whoops, I thought I included the DC! But yeah, they didn't make it.
Enora looks thrilled she was able to make so many sleds crash and cheers. "Woohoo! Alright, guys! Let's get out of here!"

The men carry Aspis Consortium bronze coins. Anyone searching Fyrth finds a cryptically-scribed message, obviously written in code.

"I have no desire to be saddled with a bunch of injured prisoners. let us make haste if we got what we need." Fenrik says to the others after Tytus briefs them on the code.

"Iso thinks men like this are dangerous. Iso suggests we cut free their dogs, remove their weapons and coin and let their gods decide whether they live or die."

Further down the mountain...
Drums and smoke signals swiftly spread the beastmen’s voices through the lower peaks. The violation of the holy lands and slaying of their brethren has roused them to war. You can hear the sound of battle in the distance.
As you approach Cania’s Drop you spot gouts of thick black smoke smearing angrily across the pale sky and smell the scent of burning wood. The source of the fire is Cania’s Drop. The waystation is under siege and its roof is burning. Its brave men rush out. Their clothes aflame, they drop and roll in the snow only to meet with the vicious fangs and claws of waiting beastmen. You have only a short time to come to the aid of the besieged waystation before all perish to the enraged taers.
The fire has already consumed a portion of the waystation. There is a full melee already in progress — several groups of ragtag warriors battle the beastmen in various locations around the waystation.
One group of taer appear to be trying to start another fire on the opposite side of the building, very close to you.

Sorry, no. They are all against you. The barbarians are also Taer, but look slightly bigger, stronger and sturdier than their 'normal' brothers and sisters. The Taer barbarians are similar to the ones you faught at the grave, the others are weaker.
Sorry, will post an update tonight.

You resist the beastmen's stench and while Kyra casts a spell Johann hurls a bomb at the beast with the white nose. The splash knocks out the one next to it. The second bomb kills another beastman and Tytus finally fells the last one.
Changed Tytus' action to attack the last beast, hope that's ok.
Combat over, but the building is still burning ;)
Around you you see the tribe of beastmen defeated, but now the surviving waystation folk starts to gather water and snow to remove the fire. Rysam also survived. He's carrying buckets and shouting orders to the other survivers.

Kyra Soulkeeper |

As the taers drop to the ground before they can taste the flames of Serenrae, Kyra looks to the ground reflective.
Then her attention by the waystation at fire she rises her hands "Oh goddess of light and redemption, take your flames away and let us have a clean floor and a warm meal for today's night!"
As the woman finishes casting her create water orison, a downpour of 53 liters of water falls all over the house.
As she finishes putting off the fire she relaxes once again and smile "Well, who was told to bring the drinks? I am finally feeling hot after such a cold day"

![]() |

While Fenrik and Tytus join the folk to carry water in buckets, Kyra finishes a spell and most of the fire is extinguished.
Rysam approaches you. "We pledge forever in your debt." he says "Thanks for helping us with the Taer and the fire. Did you find the bones? Please stay with us for a few days while you wait for Osprey and recover."

![]() |

The frost bombs extinguish the remaining flames. A few days after your return to the waystation (the men and women already started to repair the building), you spot Osprey near the waystation, comfortably hanging out in front of the fire watching the logs spit and crackle in the dull orange glow.
If you present him with the bones, he thanks you for your services to the Society. "You have indeed prevented a terrible fate by keeping the bones from the hands of those who would seek to steal the mystic’s prophetic truths."
Then he graciously bids them farewell and, without warning, transforms into a long-winged hawk with mysterious dark markings about its eyes. Winging into to the ice-blue sky he soars off towards Absalom leaving the you standing in the cold, with thousands of miles between where you stand and the City at the Center of the World.

Iso grins, enjoying both the quick fight and the campfire at the end of the day.
"Today was a Good Day for Iso Soturi! Fights! Treasure! Women?"
He looks around hopefully, however they all seem to be strategically upwind of him for some reason.
