I have heard the stories of people and just min/maxing it... so far, my max chars... -01 was a 2-wpn fighter that is now VC and daddy of this cleric, lvl 12 ragathiel paladin that was semi cheese with Fae blooded and a no-dachi murder hobo against everything that was evil, and then this lvl 11 Cleric/Holy Vindicator idea that I got after someone posted it as an idea on the forums... Overall, in the Netherlands never seen many cheesy min/max chars

So, I have run the Rose Street Revenge twice now, learning more things as we go (and I will need a cheat sheet, but that is going to be a process on it is own). However when reporting them on the Paizo site i noticed the following:

1. I have reported the players but I only get 3 PTP myself, believe this should be 4 (+1 as a GM).
2. When I reported this again I didn't get any PTP and it says now that I have ran it already and thus cannot get any points for it.

Is this a known issue? and if so, will I see the PTP's to be adjusted on the paizo website? because from my calculations it should be 10 now.

I also noted that there is no option to report Doomsday Dawn yet

As Verus takes a swing at the creature it seems the goblin sidesteps him and seems to give him the finger, as it is mocking Verus it is Rora's shot that takes away the grin as the goblin falls over on the floor, dead. Kemple her shot seems to go wide as she misses the creature

#LEE! So far Dusty seems to be striking well followed by the ever flamboyant Rora, who will win the deathcount! #LEE!

Grinds his attack strikes the creature well as blood spurts from the cut, covering Grinds face with a good amount of it before it gets hit in the chest by the magic Missiles from Lynn and taking it down.

#LEE! Oh my! the sheer amount of damage from these starfinders! seems like Lynn is stealing the show, we might have to start a new show just for her.. Dating with Lynn! #LEE!

The rant Pytho is giving the camera crew seems to fall on deaf ears, if not they follow him even closer to see where he is going.

#LEE! what will the angry droid do? he seems like to suffer from a nervous breakdown, is that a good thing for a Starfinder? #LEE!

Pilgrim had remained silent for the time being as she followed the rest of the team. She seemed to absorb all being said and when 701 is distracting the staff she seems to wander around a bit, making sure to keep some of the attention on herself as well by poking her nose at times where it doesn't belong but far away from Buzz.

With the team slowly making their way down the corridors and the crew filming their every steps and asking questions as they go, showing the quirks from all the starfinders in full display, thos keeping track of the infosphere and the #LEE! tag will see some notes flashing "#LEE: Pytho seems like a regular android, boring and dull, does know his stuff tho!" "#LEE! Is rora single! asking for an adventorous friend!" "#LEE! Dusty seems to be a doomsayer! gotta keep my eye on him!" and finally "#LEE! Kemple seems scared, should his parents have let him go?!" as the team moves farther down their chosen tunnel, they also find a midden containing both refuse and excrement.

Engineering (DC 10):
YTou determine that the trash consists largely of low-value technological scraps that might have been attached to something more valuable.

Life Science (DC10):
You recognize the ample excrement as having come from goblins.

Life Science (DC 15):
You recognize that some omnivorous creature about the size of a vesk was the source of another pile.

Survival (DC 14):
You estimate that several creatures visited this midden within the past hour, and that PC can confidently follow the goblin tracks further down the tunnels.

As the starfinders explore Wazasha is up in the face of Kemple, asking him what he has found, what is going on and if he thinks there is any danger up ahead. All the others are in spotlights as well and it seems that Wazasha is keeping an eye on any of the starfinders to record them doing anything out of the ordinary, standing out, anything for some good ol' fashion live tv!

Honestly, I disagree. We're going into the final Season of Pathfinder Society as we know it. Prioritizing beginners for a soon-to-be-discontinued game doesn't make much sense from any point of view. You'd want to cater to your existing fanbase so they return for the sequel.

But I bet there will be an overabundance of game play and accommodations for the 2nd Edition Playtest at GenCon this year. Everybody will be a beginner there.

No disrespect, but I find this comment biased and not correct. Seeing as 1E will be continued, this is a good time for new people to test the waters for now and then jump in full force when 2E playtest is done + release.

I do hope you will continue to try and play, and possibly pick up GM'ing Sebastian.

I did not read much, or check how you spent points and such, but:
• WIS 16 gives +3 not +4 (did you count 3 or 4 in the Skills (w. Perception +7 it does not seem like it)
• I imagine that you put a skill point in Culture, so you should have an extra language (Shirren/Common as racial ; Celestial from +1 INT ; and another for point in Culture)
• how did you get to 4 spells cast / day, I thought you'd have 3
And add what you think people need to know to bot you for the 3 weeks - anything you can do to helo is nice (links to the http://www.starfindersrd.com/ can help for the spells etc.)
Maybe see if someone dedicated wants to "run" you during that time?

I will rebuild the char tonight and see where I screwed up (will use the herolab sfs beta builder for that and hopefully see where I went wrong). Wouldn't surprise I made mistakes with that

And yeah, I will sort out things for botting so that people can use it :)

Loving the comment from 0x320!

The drunken guy watched the team and contemplates for a moment before speaking up again "He could use all of you, and it could be reynald..." Taking another swig from the brew in his cup "You can go to the mine that is a few miles out of town, report there and make some money..." With that said he gives the full directions to the mine for the team to find.

depending on how and what, it will be a good 2 / 3 hrs to the mine, let me know if some additional shopping needs to be done or anything else

I was summoned by other illustrious Hmm.

First, let me say... Hi! Hmm pointed out some things already that can help. PFSchat is a good starter since it will allow you to talk to more gm's players (even english, dutch, russian ones) and we can provide some help.

Things that you will need (depending on how big you are going to grow:

(this will consider VTT, PbP I will get into in a bit).

1. Warhorn, get everyone signed up there so you can start planning your games, people can signup etc.
2. Either consider Fantasy Ground or Roll20 as your main Virtual Table Top tool (from here on out VTT).

If you drop in the discord channel we can help you with questions, most of us use Roll20 because we know it, however Fantasy Ground will allow you to get, I believe, a subscription for scenarios since they have a deal with Paizo for that. Not sure how many of us online GM's use Fantasy ground, but it is worth looking into for sure!

So with that done, you have arranged your part of organizing events and the "venue". That is the main part. Now for the part where you will need players, characters, keeping track of things.

One thing to note, create a venue on paizo website and use the event code for that (if you have multiple gm's you can either let them create their own events or if it is a fixed grp get them to be delegate on the one you created (easy to do). so that will be your 2 options of reporting.

Players, you will most likely know some people interested, can do english games most well should you want to. So this is the part you yourself have to take care off.

Characters, people will have to keep track of them and the games will have to be reported ofcourse (see my section of where I said creating a venue). one thing to do as well is to get your players signed up with: http://www.pfstracker.net and you can then see who has played what for scenarios.

chronicle sheets, I use google drive to upload them and I have them personally stored on my pc in case I need them for someone else or myself again, so those will be good options to make sure to have (you have google drive, dropbox, one drive and most likely some I don't know about.)

finally, some sort of email that you can use for people to contact you, else, hard to find you.

if all of this works there might be an option where Ironhelix can see if you can be promoted to VA, or higher, depending on how things go ofcourse.

Hope this helps a bit, else feel free to ask more!

1 faction name was released
Dataphiles: obsession / interest of aquisition/distribution of data, Operating out of the archive section of the lorespire complex (new term from absalom station), Starfinder Society operates from the Lorespire complex.

faction will be data oriented faction, not just for computer specialists

faction where data will be in terms off:
- computer information
- social data

in order to get data, you sometimes need muscle, so there is room for soldiers and other kind of muscle types who want to kick in doors.

faction for people who are interested in futuristic data gathering and how it spreads. It has a vibe of Wiki Leaks

What is the difference between Skype, Teamspeak and Discord?

gatherer818 wrote:

Skype is easy to use, but lacks in power and versatility (no volume control, poor control over your broadcasting, lackluster text chat options). It's also a resource hog, which is rather relevant if people are using a virtual tabletop program which might be competing for CPU and memory.

Teamspeak and the like are more powerful, with the ability to customize permissions for channels and set up your voice chat exactly how you want it, but has a learning curve and requires a user to either host the chat on their computer (which comes with connection and scaling issues) or rent a webserver (which is obviously not a great option financially).

Discord is.... perfect. It's slightly more setup than Skype, though still much easier to setup than Teamspeak. It uses a web-based server, so there's no issues with connection or rental fee - it can even be run directly from the website, if you're willing to sacrifice some customization power for more ease-of-use. Full, robust multi-channel text and voice support without all the hassle. I just wish I could get my friends using it - all it's lacking is a userbase.

I am going to try and work on getting a bot for the channel that can do the following:

- Post rss feeds of updates / blogs etc
- Do Dice rolls
- Look up scenario's and provide with a link to the Paizo webstore to look it up
- Use the Paizo PRD to look up the spells / feats (possible class links)

If you have any experience in programming a bot or willing to assist, drop me a PM.

Hope to see some people there soon!

Being present in France during it all was surreal. Going out on friday, seeing the shooting at first and just think it was just something that happened and then getting worried messages from the UK about it all left a bit of a mixed feeling for all of us. During the night alot of stuff went down for the French in regards of the Venue but we pulled through.

I ended up playing 3 scenario's together with the swiss, Rob Silk and one of the Dutch GM's. We skipped the special due to the time constraint and the fact we did want to get back home after all of this.

Karim and Florent, thank you for pulling through all of this, and continue to make all of this happen for everyone. Those that opened their store, houses and the likes for the rest of us to play, thank you!

To the swiss, thank you for a memorable weekend and much fun during it all!

So this weekend during a promo event here in the Netherlands and have to say I really loved it. Never thought I would like it, but what do you know :) I decided to get the Wrath boxed set (screwed up on buying the RotRL non mint version :( =)

So after that I decided to see my LFG and see for any interest in it since they are pretty heavy into Card Games (trying to get Society of the ground as well and it is a painful process at times...)

So I am wondering what is going to be the best way to get the Guild going there and garner interest? I am going to do a Demo type of game with the owner on Thursday and hopefully get more people involved.

On the other side, I am considering to start the solo play for the card guild in the store, what would be the best char (most challenging) to do it with Wrath so that I can order that deck for it.

Any more advice overall would be nice!

OK a lot of responses to respond to, Thanks for all the advice here. I will try to consolidate the main issues I am hearing. And yes this is PFS.

okay... so what your group needs is some help to get a better game going. Once you guys are on the PFS path things should get better and more fun for everyone, including your GM.

You know where you are, so write the Venture Officer in your area using your regular email.
Here is a list of Venture Officers (otherwise known as) Regional Coordinators

reference this thread (you can click on a post and copy the url in your browser into the email)

he can have you join a regular group that meets in your area, let you see some other GMs and play some games with experienced folks, you'll meet people that have played PFS for years to newbies, there might even be a GM 101 session...

Part of PFS is that there are many of us with various degrees of experience and we all Explore, Report, and Cooperate.

I play with several of these people and they are actually way harder on players than my current GM. They are where he gets his CDG ideas. One of the GMs in my area literally celebrates when he kills players. I have had one in a nearby area openly fudge dice against the player. I never had as tough a time in my 6 years experience in RPGs as I have in PFS. Not entirely sure I would be open to new GMs here.

ugh, openly cheering when you kill a player is something I don't like to see... It's fun to mess and laugh with players, but a player death can really put down a player in my opinion and they might not return then. So far I have seen some player deaths but here in NL we have sorted it out, paid as a grp for the resurection and other cost and then moved on to fight another day.

Overall I have seen some good advice here in this thread, one other piece of advice I might be able to give, if you have a set grp of people you play with, get together on a dreary sunday, talk over your PFS chars, possibly start anew with a lvl 1 char, run the confirmation and play together (from what it sounds like you have the same grp of people there all the time) and create a well balanced grp. It will increase your fun as well.

DEYS has been around for a while now in various forms and in a collaboration between the various guilds. The 4 original guilds have played together, against each other in different games ranging from Themepark MMO's to the games like Darkfall. The plan for DEYS in Pathfinder Online will be to work as a full alliance. In due time DEYS will be looking for possible charters that are interested in being part of DEYS but an announcement will be made in due time.

Should anyone want to open communications with DEYS then I am your point of contact for now. We know several grups have reached out to Mystical Awakening to have them being part of something larger, and Mystical Awakening is honored to have been reached out to for that and we will keep communications open to ensure that for now there will be no miscommunication for now.
