The creature you see in front of you is a Fleshforge Dredge
The pathfinders cannot sense anything from the creature as it is standing behind the stairs. It seems restless and looks around, Vellir, Doc and Matheus notice several remains of fish, seagulls corpse and the occasional rat around the creature.
Finally decided to sign up as a GM, running one of the new PF2 scenario's (start will be later then the starting date due to being out of the country (and with no idea of internet access till I am back home)
Player Name: Edwin Wessels
Character Name: Grimaldus Skillganon
PFS Number: 71768-10
Faction: the Exchange
Character Level: 11

What makes you a special snowflake? Daddy was some high up person in the Grand Lodge, and I somehow made my way into the ranks of trading and I am considered a Trade Prince, a Pasha and a Master of Trade (also some Herald goes around introducing me all the time).
So, I have run the Rose Street Revenge twice now, learning more things as we go (and I will need a cheat sheet, but that is going to be a process on it is own). However when reporting them on the Paizo site i noticed the following:
1. I have reported the players but I only get 3 PTP myself, believe this should be 4 (+1 as a GM).
2. When I reported this again I didn't get any PTP and it says now that I have ran it already and thus cannot get any points for it.
Is this a known issue? and if so, will I see the PTP's to be adjusted on the paizo website? because from my calculations it should be 10 now.
I also noted that there is no option to report Doomsday Dawn yet
Some issues were found with the GenCon pregens during sessions. Paizo is planning to update them and get them out ASAP.
Check with your local VL/VC, they may have copies from the GMs running at GenCon. Tonya explicitly stated that the GenCon pregens are no longer under NDA in the post-GenCon GM's debrief. However, they are expected to change slightly before being posted here.
Source: GMing Rose Street Revenge all week at GenCon and being the one who asked about distribution during the debrief.
You got them available? seeing as I know none of my VO staff were at GenCon (living in Ireland), would you be able to send them to me in some form?
Site has been pretty unstable yesterday and today. Hopefully that doesn't become a trend...
Before leaving, Lynn activated her armor's environmental seals and turned its interior comms to broadcast to her party and the camera crew. Once the party is on its way, she offers "Those poor dwarves, or robo-dwarves, are really confused! All that's stopping them is a few little goblins and some gas. I bet we'll be able to take care of both in no time! And I've got my fingers crossed that if we can get them up to surface level they'll realize there's nothing to be scared of!"
Brimming with positivity, she leads the way forward through the gas. Based on the fact that you rolled initiative, I assume we detect some sight of enemies. What do we see and hear? And are we supposed to be on the last map? The one with all the rock spikes and the chasm?
I decided to roll for init because you only have 60" vision and this will give a bit of tension without knowing what is there (if that makes sense) and yes, last map
Well.. Life kicked me in the proverbial balls. I will have a funeral in the Netherlands upcoming so will have to travel for that. Bot me for the time being and I will report in once I have a bit more of a time frame on when return. Could be 1.5 weeks Max depending on when the funeral is.
I have asked magabeus to step in for a week or so. I have a funeral upcoming and for that I will need to travel to the Netherlands and doubt I will be in much of a gm posting mode... Sorry for that, will keep my eye on this thread and once back I will be your gm again. Sorry for the inconveniences.
Bret, Amanda and I are at the train station in Seattle, waiting to board our train. It’s been a wonderful convention! I had so much fun meeting all of you!
Hmm
PS. @ S.W.A.T. — Tyrant’s Grasp for a group assignment?
I would’ve thought reaching out to beginners would be something important for the society
Honestly, I disagree. We're going into the final Season of Pathfinder Society as we know it. Prioritizing beginners for a soon-to-be-discontinued game doesn't make much sense from any point of view. You'd want to cater to your existing fanbase so they return for the sequel.
But I bet there will be an overabundance of game play and accommodations for the 2nd Edition Playtest at GenCon this year. Everybody will be a beginner there.
No disrespect, but I find this comment biased and not correct. Seeing as 1E will be continued, this is a good time for new people to test the waters for now and then jump in full force when 2E playtest is done + release.
I do hope you will continue to try and play, and possibly pick up GM'ing Sebastian.
Reading all of this makes me looking forward to the release of 2E (and possibly the last AP). Overall for me, ever since I stepped into Society I feel I barely been able to play at times due to my work schedule (something that is changing in less then a week!) so 2E will offer me a new change to step in and enjoy the games.
Something I am enjoying with SFS atm due to be able to play from the start.
Thanks to everyone for posting the updates and taking your time for doing so!
blindly punching buttons for ship info:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29not sure if the +1 for aid counts
In near frustrations she punches the computer console while near hissing at it and threatening to tear it from it's console socket and throw it into space "oh... Ehm... Seems like we might have some data and information..."
Post will come later tonight, creature is dead but my PC died on me so have to get the work PC later today
Also, Wednesday I won't be able to post, I am being flown over to cork, Ireland for a job interview (if that goes well I will be moving to Ireland end of this month :) )
I signed up for Psyblade's First Mandate because I would like to play it prior to playing Live Exploration Extreme, but it looks like its going low tier and I feel like now that I am level 3 that I would just blow a low tier adventure out of the water and may join you instead shaudius
Can you PM me your charsheet? I can then see if it works out or not.
As a VA, I'm definitely going to keep making characters. My store has anywhere from 10-20 tables per month, and there will be plenty of demand for PFS 1.0.
jealous at that amount of tables per month!
As for making chars, I am a bit on the fence. I enjoy making chars (will have a blurb of modules to make a lvl 6 soon) but with 2.0 coming out and my limited PFS time due to my work makes me not that much into considering it.
Would be a shame of some of the race boons / special boons I have in the end :(
just a bit of a necro for this thread... but finding this one and currently working on using the Angel in conjunction with my gf's char... much fun will be had!
will post later, sorry, been a bit hectic, setting up appartment up for sale (with pictures taken today) so doing final cleaning touches, after that I need to rush to the vet for cat insuline :D
will either go for gunnery or the science officer, the other things aren't preferred skills for me, and with a minus to charisma, captain is out of the question
nm... you are right, I screwed up with placement so carry on!
Osskalessk makes his way up to one of the Ysoki's and hits him soundly, the Ysoki looks badly injured at the moment. After that the creature on the high ledge seems to do some sort of incantiation while she is looking at Osskalessk. "You will not take Reynald away from us! he is our savior!" is being yelled by the creature.
Mindthrust:2d10 ⇒ (8, 5) = 13DC 14 save will save required from Osskalessk
** Active Conditions **
Not suprised: Ru, Ceolor, Osskalessk, 0x320
Suprised: Taeon, Twich
sorry for the confussion! but the npc's were stealthed, so I rolled perception for everyone and those that got the stealth dc are not surprised, those that didn't make it are surprised...
Map updated, if people can place themselves in the red square so that I roughly know the marching order!
A rough road marked by regular vehicle tracks meanders across the reddish desert landscape. Wavering lines of heat haze emanate from the rocky ground. A two-tiered rocky outcropping rises to the northwest. For those not suprised you see 2 Ysoki and 1
First, let me say... Hi! Hmm pointed out some things already that can help. PFSchat is a good starter since it will allow you to talk to more gm's players (even english, dutch, russian ones) and we can provide some help.
Things that you will need (depending on how big you are going to grow:
(this will consider VTT, PbP I will get into in a bit).
1. Warhorn, get everyone signed up there so you can start planning your games, people can signup etc.
2. Either consider Fantasy Ground or Roll20 as your main Virtual Table Top tool (from here on out VTT).
If you drop in the discord channel we can help you with questions, most of us use Roll20 because we know it, however Fantasy Ground will allow you to get, I believe, a subscription for scenarios since they have a deal with Paizo for that. Not sure how many of us online GM's use Fantasy ground, but it is worth looking into for sure!
So with that done, you have arranged your part of organizing events and the "venue". That is the main part. Now for the part where you will need players, characters, keeping track of things.
One thing to note, create a venue on paizo website and use the event code for that (if you have multiple gm's you can either let them create their own events or if it is a fixed grp get them to be delegate on the one you created (easy to do). so that will be your 2 options of reporting.
Players, you will most likely know some people interested, can do english games most well should you want to. So this is the part you yourself have to take care off.
Characters, people will have to keep track of them and the games will have to be reported ofcourse (see my section of where I said creating a venue). one thing to do as well is to get your players signed up with: http://www.pfstracker.net and you can then see who has played what for scenarios.
chronicle sheets, I use google drive to upload them and I have them personally stored on my pc in case I need them for someone else or myself again, so those will be good options to make sure to have (you have google drive, dropbox, one drive and most likely some I don't know about.)
finally, some sort of email that you can use for people to contact you, else, hard to find you.
if all of this works there might be an option where Ironhelix can see if you can be promoted to VA, or higher, depending on how things go ofcourse.
Hope this helps a bit, else feel free to ask more!
I have to agree with everything said here, I will throw in some extra thanks to Thurston for going the extra mile and being active on Discord as well with the SFS (and to some degree the PFS) community there!
Sendoriku, if you're abandoning the mechanic idea, then I'll make Taeon a mechanic.
Consider it abandoned!
On a different note, today was probably the busiest day of summer for me and I'm am exhausted. I can definitely get a character ready tomorrow morning (by midnight East coast time) but not today! Sorry it's being so last minute.
no worries :) gameday starts the 25th but we will most likely kick it off over the weekend :)
Tobias, as he is known now, was born and raised in Westcrown. His childhood was largely mundane compared to the many sordid stories you hear about the dark nature of Westcrown. Instead of battling demons, or participating in mutinous uprisings, Tobias lift a quiet life on the outskirts of town helping to tend the family's thriving Alchemical business. They owned a sort of medicine store, adventurers, commoners, and even the occasional nobleman would come to purchase one of his family's many tonics and tinctures. Life was pretty simple, and honestly, pretty good relative to most of Cheliax's population.
To say his life was mundane, is not to mean his life was boring or unremarkable. Unfortunately for Tobias, at around the age of 13, his father, Elias, became deathly ill. The disease was nothing Tobias had ever seen before, and try as they might, none of the potions he had could cure poor Elias. Although the family's business was thriving, they could not afford any of the city's healers. Most healers in Westcrown, it seemed, had taken up the mantle of a business man and felt they'd only offer their services to those that would enter binding contracts or charge prices the family just could not afford. They were able to locate a few adepts, but their services could not fix his father.
Tobias's mother, Melinda, was lost to despair and Tobias knew he had to step up. He went to the Temple of Asmodeus and in a fit of desperation, cut gashes along each arm in sacrifice, praying for the power to heal his father. As Tobias wept at the foot of the altar, his tears, now blood red, began to singe his wounds, painfully cauterizing them shut, leaving gnarled scars winding up his forearms. As though divinely inspired, Tobias returned home and wept at his father's side, his tears, still sanguine, fell upon his father, who suddenly seized, wracked in pain. Minutes later, Elias fell into a deep slumber. When he woke days later, all signs of his illness had gone.
Tobias left his family the day his father awoke, cured, ashamed of what he'd done. His fingernails had turned yellow, and crusty, his skin had become pale and ashy, his hair turned soot black. He was Damned for his sacrifice to Asmodeus. Tobias hoped that perhaps should he act opposite to the edicts of Asmodeus, he may be able to save his soul. He left for the Westcrown Academy of Medicine, eventually gaining the credentials to offer mundane medical assistance . A successful graduate, he has set up shop as a doctor and pharmacist under a new name. He offers his services to young and old, rich and poor, evil and good. Tobias never turns away a patient, regards life as the highest priority. Although he can use his understanding of the body to hurt people, he tries not to, instead convincing them they want to flee instead of fight.
Unbeknownst to him, his will to heal and devotion to life had drawn the attention of certain aspects of nature. One particular spirit, who was particularly curious about Tobias, came to him in the form of a black cat. To Tobias, the cat had just seemed like some stray, so paid it some attention. At first it was an offered saucer of milk, and in return the cat killed the mice that pilfered Tobias's stock room. Then Tobias would let the cat in during weather or the occasional period of civil unrest. Eventually, they were inseparable. Slowly, Tobias was changing. His diagnoses were right more often, his medicine more potent. Potential thieves found themselves discouraged, and patients' conditions changed for the better with no discernible reason. Eventually, Tobias found that his cat was no ordinary feline, Pandora, as he had named her, was...improving his abilities....he was drawing his "medical genius" from her!
Lately, he's noticed something...isn't right in Westcrown...even for Westcrown. Strange injuries and odd diseases. More people than usual are disappearing in the night or winding up dead on the streets for no apparent reason...he's heard there is a group of freedom fighters around...Tobias loves his country...but...is not sure how he feels about what it is becoming. Life needs to be respected...and preserved...it is neither of those things in Westcrown, now...perhaps the time for change has arrived? [Spoiler]
Description
Tobias stands before you with a sullen gaze, squinting eyes, and a half bitten lip. "Imp Stain of the eyes is whats causing that yellow ooze," he gives you as his diagnosis. With a half-smile he hands you a bottle of a warm green liquid. "Two drops in each eye three times a day until the next full moon will cure it right up."
His hair is soot black, his fingernails a little crusty...he almost appears to have the infernal touch...but...his voice is soothing, his demeanor calm. He seems very relaxed and compassionate. At 5'10" he is a tall fellow, tall as he is though, he appears a little gaunt and ashy white. His clothes seem modern and stylish, but he is also adorned with random fetishes and a feather necklace. Although his practice is odd for Westcrown, you cant argue with the results!
