Before making my post... and making the rolls cause they are non-existent...
What is the distance needed to be crossed?
- reason for asking, I might just dimensional hop past it (unless you really want me to make that roll)
- will Agile feet help in any way?
GM Worg
|
Through a thick forest covered in brambles and other terrible things. You aren't certain what distance would be appropriate to jump.
I'll let you have a +2 bonus for Agile Feet on all the rolls for this particular part, but it will cost you a use.
GM Worg
|
So I waited to see if Chaine would be posting, but since that ended up silent I don't know if he is still with us. Will continue on.

Not 100% familair with the song, can we drop it whenever we want / pick it up? or is it basically accept at round of casting and that is?
Chak Yuen Chen
|
You choose to accept it or not each round at the start of your turn. If you are unconscious, you automatically accept the song.
Ikit
|
Chak, if the red spider drops. I'll tap you with-
Quickness (Sp): As a standard action, you can expend 1 point of mental focus to grant supernatural quickness and reflexes to yourself or a willing living creature you touch. This functions as haste, but the bonus to AC and on Reflex saving throws increases to +2. This effect lasts for 1 round per occultist level you possess. You must be at least 5th level to select this focus power.
If not, I'm thinking of giving your nodachi greater vampiric.

So what was the point of Deja Vu when we had no idea what this creature's capabilities are?
He did over two-thirds of my hp with a single attack and now he is forced to repeat the attack against me next round. So unless someone else can heal me to the point where the next attack isn't likely to outright kill me, I'm going to be forced to use my scroll of heal.
Brother Grimaldus
|
ugh... I might have screwed up then with not realizing the Deja Vu... shit... sorry Chak
I should have considered my action, but my char never saw Deja Vu before and didn't think of it....
Chak Yuen Chen
|
The only reason Chak realizes the problem is that he can't fail that spellcraft roll to recognize that deja vu was cast.
Chak Yuen Chen
|
GM, can you verify that this thing actually has 15 feet of reach. The map seems to indicate it does, but that is unusual for a huge quadruped.
Chak Yuen Chen
|
Ah, that makes a big difference then. Thank you. Edit: Posted.

AID TOKEN #3
Passing Aid Token to: GM Worg
Current Boosts: Allied Offensive
An odd assortment of Pathfinders comes to your aid: a water elemental, a half-elf with a red streak in her hair, a serpentine bard, a stoic paladin, a tiefling with moth's wings, and a stone giant riding a woolly unicorn.
GM Worg
|
Better use the aid token for healing for 5d6.
May I have a player roll the dice for me please?
Ikit
|
For the overgrown maze, are there any logs or boulders that look around 175-225 lbs?
GM Worg
|
No need to worry about it, we are going to progress as you guys have gained enough successes in the test of speed.
Chaine "The Butcher" Alazario

multiple grabs and does not gain grappled condition: yes, but the grapple checks are all at -20 to grapple, fyi. ;)
Chaine "The Butcher" Alazario
|
Also please let me know the source for maintaining multiple grabs with one standard action: this has come up in my Hell's Rebels campaign and I'd like to know before next session! thanks!
GM Worg
|
Here is the chart for Aid Tokens.
Gain 3d8 to one single attack that someone makes against it, and then everyone is considered flanking. Boosted version gives an additional 1d8, for a total of 4d8.
GM Worg
|
As for the reason it would need to maintain with a standard (At the very least, anyways) is that this massive bastard doesn't have Greater Grapple, in spite of its many grab attacks.
The issue for me is that maintaining all the grapples is the worst tactic, cause the grapple chart program requires way more effort than I think this fight is worth. Especially if Chak has his way with this thing.
Chaine "The Butcher" Alazario
|
lol - ok thanks! ;)
Chaine "The Butcher" Alazario

Just saw liberating command: thanks Bro Grim! Let's see here if it worked. Please go ahead and roll for me as I'm not sure how it works. My regular Escape Artist mod is -2... :P

roll escape artist with a +20 modifier :D
Chaine "The Butcher" Alazario
|
Esc. Artist with Lib. Comm.: 1d20 - 2 + 20 ⇒ (19) - 2 + 20 = 37
I doubt it'll be enough...
Chaine "The Butcher" Alazario
|
GM Worg: did Chaine miss the plant on a 33? if not, what happened to reduce the 92 damage to 20? please let me know before I do Chaine's next turn. Thanks!
Edit: why is Chaine showing '(-4,fine)'? thanks!
GM Worg
|
GM is tired and is having issues updating his spread sheet before posting it lol >< My bad.
Chaine "The Butcher" Alazario
|
Ah! no worries! you had me seriously worried though and I was about to steer Chaine south!!
Brother Grimaldus
|
trick question, cause the hell I am confused... Would break enchantment work on the fly spell?
Chaine "The Butcher" Alazario
|
It's like Frank's Hot Sauce: that shit works on everything. But for groups with ruleslawyers, the spell specifically calls out enchantments and transmutations, and, well... fly is a transmutation. :P
GM Worg
|
Considering Charlie dropped her the Fireball way, thats not an issue anymore.
So, want to fight them all over again or call a break for a few days and wait for part 6 to start?
Chaine "The Butcher" Alazario
|
There's a part 6?!! I thought we were done! D'Oh!
Since Charlie dropped her let's just sayyyyyy that Chaine's last turn never happened then, m'kayyyy? :) :P
Brother Grimaldus
|
Sooo... does that mean my Break Enchantment never happened?
Overall, I am fine with waiting, will save spells, altough it is fun to see Chaine just charge and murder hobo everything in his path....
Chaine "The Butcher" Alazario
|
It's not hobo'ing if you have a badge.... OH SNAP! :P
(The Lance Corporal points to the ranks sewn on his sleeve... :P )
Brother Grimaldus
|
| 1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Normally I play murder hobo'ing chars... but this cleric is just... casually not getting into combat :D
Brother Grimaldus
|
I wonder if Charlie is a Flerken in disguise seeing the fun he has with the fireballs :D
Ikit
|
The bad thing with Break Enchantment is the 1 minute cast time. Luckily we didn't have to worry about.

I knew there was something that I overlooked... *whistles and goes back to not reading his spells well enough*
Chak Yuen Chen
|
Regarding buffing, I don't mind it. I find it's tough to find the happy medium and I'd rather be too prepared than underprepared.
In fact, Chak usually wishes he had more time to buff.
Chak Yuen Chen
|
If Grimaldus has a +6 Perception, he probably shouldn't be lookout as I don't think it's even possible to achieve an average success at this subtier with that modifier. (I want to say that average is DC 27 if I remember from previous specials.)
Ikit
|
If I saw right, Charlie is our best with perception at +25. I think Chak would be our best navigator.
Chak Yuen Chen
|
Chak has a +28, but +25 is not really that far off.
Brother Grimaldus
|
*whistles*
what can I say... this isn't a skill monkey! someone tell Paizo clerics that they need more skillpoints :D
Charlie Robert McGee
|
Brother Grimaldus could have a firm hand on Chak's shoulder, providing him Guidance as Chak navigates with his Survival skill...that +19 survival is our best Navigator...that'd give him a +20
