It may have been poor phrasing. That paragraph up there is a monster of a run-on-sentence that I wince at reading right now.
I meant that you commented that due to your out-of-game knowledge, you mentioned you did not want to advocate or push your choice too strongly to either side compared to the other characters, beyond what Blanmieux would like for equipment if that choice was picked.
Did I interpret your earlier post correctly?

So, because that conversation was long and it’s harder to chat easily and quickly amongst yourselves in this medium, just a refresher on a few points that you may have discovered from talking to Fahaz:
· Yemri, the Elemental Lord of fire, has agents and minions on Aucturns Tear. They are patrolling a portion of the asteroid, seemingly on the lookout for intruders, or at least certain kinds of intruders.
· At least two other Elmental Lords seem to also have their followers embedded on the asteroid: Ayrzul, whose earthen armies are militantly guarding the central crater, and Kelizandri, whose water creatures are on the asteroid’s other side.
· Fahaz mentionned he and Ymeri’s forces have only been here for a few decades – their presence was likely not here the last time Aucturn’s Tear passed by Golarion
· Fahaz seemed eager to cut you off every time you tried to bring up the sense Sorrina had of a being ‘trapped’ here.
· He also ignored your questions about the air venting from the asteroid.
· The crashed spaceship on the surface was from the planet Verces
· There are several magma worms tunneling throughout the asteroid.
Spoilered in case you would rather only read ‘in character.’ Some scenarios, especially multi-table specials, sometimes have so many things going on across the whole area that its hard to piece together the main plot and scope, so I like to summarize if I can.

★ - OVERSEER ANNOUNCEMENT - ★
Hello Cosmonauts!
The lovely staff at Paizo gave me 15 ten-dollar gift certificates to distribute across the Cosmic Captive Special. Alas, we have 25 tables, so not every table can win one. In order to pick winners, I’m hosting a Cosmic Giveaway!
The Rules:
You cannot nominate yourself. You cannot pick me. Pick someone else (fellow player, GM, backup GM) who made your experience of Cosmic Captive fun! Tell me why!
You can submit only one name, but you can make a submission on the above link from now until July 9th.
Some names will likely get chosen because of the stories you tell me. Some may get selected in a random lottery. I’ll try to spread the love around to as many different tables as I can.
Hugs,
Hmm

This encounter's set up a bit unusually, so please let me know if you have any questions!
GM Zoomba |
If you have your own rage, you can either use the raging song's static bonuses or your own, though the rage wont use up your rounds. So either +2 Str, Con, +1 Will, and -1 AC or +2 to attacks, damage, Will, and -2 AC. It's a bit weirder with chained skald v unchained barbarian, but the intent is you get one of the two sets of bonuses.
Note also that by accepting and using the skald's song, you don't have access to you own rage powers. For those, you'll need to use your own rage.
GM Zoomba |
Correct me if I'm wrong Keriassa (first time GMing with a skald and barbarian at once), but from my understanding Yes.
If you use inspired rage, you get either your static bonuses or hers (your choice) and her rage powers. Looking at the profile, I believe that is Reckless Abandon? If you want your own rage powers, you'll need to enter rage yourself.
Keriassa |
My first time with a barbarian too. Yes, that is the way I understand it as well. Blan wouldn't get to use his own rage powers however (without starting his own rage).

Another monster post. Hopefully the last, just a lot going on in this room.
Again, absolutely any questions, let me know!

The Winners for the Cosmic Giveaway have been announced!

Focus on taking one guardian down and then move to the other.
Between splitting things up and the misses we have accrued, we have spent too many resources to finish this fight. If we had focused on one at a time we could have one down already. That hasn't been the case previously in this special, as splitting our attacks proved to be a great strategy then, but this time things are different.
For the next fight, if there is one, I suggest we move closer together(unless we somehow expect an area effect type of threat). That way we can protect the archers and the professor, and then we pick one target to "burn down" with the sheer weight of our combined attacks before we move to another.
GM Zoomba |
I will also remind all that for one encounter, you can call on an elemental ally from the water forces to aid you.

You are right. Concentrate on Blue. I for now, protect the professor.

Those elemental allies are really nice! One saved my group's butt when she came in!

What is the caster level of the spells we can cast with this new "Thunderous Aid" and what is the statistic it uses for DCs?
Just curious.
Also, if we use the summon spell, can we get multiple small air elementals(1d4+1) or just one medium? I think the Medium is the best bet for this situation we are currently in, but perhaps if something changes several small ones could be really good.
GM Zoomba |
It would be your level as caster level, and the DC is based off of your Charisma, or 20 Charisma if that is higher (which I think it would be for all of you).
I'm unsure and will check about the elemental question, but for now let's go with one elemental.

As we're approaching the special's end (good job all!), it's time to see if any of you will be receiving a shiny player boon!
Please roll a d20 below, like so:
1d20 ⇒ 15
If its a 19 or 20, congrats! Desna smiles! Please either post or PM me an email addresses so your boon can make the perilous journey through the intertubez to you.
Crios Greymantle |
1d20 ⇒ 14 Good luck everyone!

Weird idea but can use my rage power and kerissa rage power while burning mine?
GM Zoomba |
From my understanding, no. K's shared rage powers are part of her shared rage: if you are not accepting her rage but using your own, her powers are not shared.
That said, I am not crazy familiar with skalds. A cursory Google on my phone didn't bring up a clear answer to this from rules threads, but if you find something to indicate otherwise please let me know. I'll also try to investigate further when I get home.

Thanks for the excellent run to everyone!
GM Zoomba, great job keeping the pace up in such a demanding special, and making things clear when it could easily have been difficult to understand.
To the players, thanks for the fun role-play and the solid tactical choices you all made. I felt we did really well and it is because everyone worked well together. I hope to play with you all again sometime.
To Hmm and all those coordinators and backup GMs across the special, it must have been a huge challenge, but you made it seem incredibly smooth and for that you have my deep respect. Great job. That was a heck of a special.
Cheers folks!

Pfft, I look away for one day and you all go and find a demigod and threaten to upend the planar balance of power. Can't leave Pathfinders alone for five minutes... :p
In all seriousness, the pleasure was all mine. You were a great group of players to run for and I hope you enjoyed this unusually structured (and broad in multiversal implications) special. And thanks to you for all putting up with the pace: you were amongst the most consistently posting and productive tables in the whole special, with seventeen (17!) encounters by my count. That's crazy! Now take a load off in the Grand Lodge and enjoy a well-earned rest. Other Pathfinders can take it from here.
I am typing this just as getting home and very shortly before going to sleep in order to be up and ready for work tomorrow. I will do my absolute best to have all of your chronicles done and up in a linked dropbox by tomorrow night. If you have any purchases you would like to make now that you're back home to be included on it (in addition to those bought before departing) let me know.

Thank you, Crios. Feedback like that makes me feel really happy.
I told Tonya that Cosmic Captive had eaten my head... She laughed and said that she heard that headless librarians were a persistent haunt that could only be cured with scenario reporting!
It is lovely to hear that you had a great time!

Absolutely grateful to Hmm and Zoomba and my fellow players... it's not easy to organize or run these things, and had a great time.
Thanks to everyone for staying locked in and not letting fatigue kick in during our third trio of graven guardians!
Keriassa |
Thanks everyone for such an enjoyable time. Special shout out to our GM and the others behind the scenes who made the special flow nicely.
GM Zoomba |
All right, so all your chronicles should be up HERE Let me know if there are any issues of things I missed/need to change (there inevitably always are).
Once again, I had a blast running for all of you, and thank you for putting up with me :) If you have any thoughts, questions, or feedback, drop me a line or PM. Otherwise, I'll see you around the boards!

À Little modification
I had change the 2pp of the wand for one potion and 2 scroll of enlarge person.

If everyone is done with this... Can we close out this campaign and mark it inactive, please?
