What needs to happen at this point? I presume we need the casters to rest and learn the spells, and then apply their protection to those of us who need to make our Won't Saves into proper Will Saves.
Do we need to role play this, or hand-wave it, and assume we're buffed and ready to go?

Carmelia Torvé |

Yeah, I thought we were resting, so I'm just waiting for the declaration of the next day.

Carmelia Torvé |

That sucks. I am also currently on the job market, so best of luck to you.

Carmelia Torvé |

This may be our poorest collecting showing of Perception yet. I am ready for a painful trap.

Carmelia Torvé |

I'm fine with where I am on the map. She's been hanging around the door.

Dantes Goldforge |

The cowardly wizard in me wants to say 'no', but since I was doing a detect magic sweep the position makes sense. Unless a lot of time has passed, he should still be invisible. If that matters.

I am going to be out of town from tomorrow until November 16 (I'm going to Walt Disney World). We will continue on my return. If time permits (ha!), I will try to check in and make a post.

![]() |

Does anyone know what happened to polyfrequencies (Carmelia)? I'm worried that we haven't heard from them for almost a month. I'll try contacting them privately.

![]() |

Okay, I'll move things along today or tomorrow, posting for Carmelia as best I can from the information that I have for the character. My apologies for the untimely delay.

![]() |

I have a convention I am assisting in running in two weeks, so my responses will be slow or perhaps non-existent until March 4. Please forgive delays.

The con was a lot of fun! Our Gaming Guest of Honor was Shane Hensley, of Savage Worlds fame, and both our Author Guest of Honor (Max Gladstone, Empress of Forever and Last Exit) and our Media Guest of Honor (Jake Stormoen, The Outpost) joined us in playing games! Jake and Max even underwent the Klingon Day of Honor ceremony where they pronounce their great deeds for the year and bring honor to their house (our local Star Trek club does the ceremony every year for anyone who wishes to undertake it). I'm sorry to take so long to get back to this. It's been a whirlwind three days since the convention with wrap-up details (getting people to the airport, paying taxes, etc.).

Chumtooth |

I posted a couple actions, to try and get the ball rolling a bit. Fellow party members feel free to stop or interrupt me if you think I am moving things along to quickly or leaving out something important.

I can't find any rules that state that a 1 is a failure, so we can assume that you can succeed automatically in this case. Even if I did dictate a 1 as a failure, the worst that could happen is you make no progress, not a fall. So you're good so long as you aren't trying something tricky like an accelerated climb or catching a falling companion. Even if you wanted to double your climb speed (adds +5 to the DC), the worst thing that could happen is you fail to make progress on that turn.

It lasts as long as they sing, plus one round. Since they are attacking Chumtooth, I'm going to rule that they stopped singing last round, so next round you can act.

![]() |

I'm taking a short vacation without Internet access from Wednesday, 5 June until 10 June, and will be unavailable during that time.

![]() |

You are at the top of a steep incline and Chumtooth is being attacked by harpies. You have just come out of the trance that they had lulled you into. Carmellia is on her way up and Dantes has just cast stinking cloud.

![]() |

Sorry, guys. My depression is flaring up due to anxiety over the U.S. election. I will try to get a move out soon.

![]() |

I will try to get a move out in the next few days. I just wanted you all to know that if I should suddenly disappear, it's not any of you. Know that I have enjoyed the game and it has been an honor to be your GM.

Chumtooth |

This fights going to end badly, unless we come up with a strategy.
The dinos ACs are too high, and they have too many hit points for us to effectively fight our way out of this.
GM WhtKnt: Are you okay with us strategizing out of character here, or do you want us to do so only in game?
I'm fine with either, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't overstepping.

![]() |

I am fine with you strategizing here. The dinos are a little tougher than I thought. When I ran this game tabletop, my party had an... interesting... solution. I'll tell you about it once this is over.

Once again, my wife and I are on our way to Walt Disney World, Dec 1-6, there will be a suspension of gameplay during that time (though if I find a moment, I may check in). Thank you!

Yeah, I've been thinking about that problem and a solution may be forthcoming. Until then, we can assume that everyone has a stock of five potions of cure serious wounds. Consider it a Christmas bonus!

Dantes Goldforge |

When we level up, I can take some steps to work that issue.

![]() |

I'll send out the call for another cleric. I was hoping that Carmelia's player would return, but it looks like that hope is dashed.

Chumtooth |

Rogar looks like a really good fit with our group. Granted, only a couple of people have replied so far, but he looks like the kind of character who would be on our crew.
Riori is a great character concept/build, but I'm trying to figure out why should would travel with us. We're a little too morally gray compared to her.

Chumtooth |

The dwarf surgeon is my favorite character concept of them all, and the one I see most fitting for the current group.
The player Deathquaker has been a mainstay of the boards for a long time, though, and her character is a solid choice as well.
They would be my 1st and 2nd choices.

![]() |

I agree about the dwarf. He was the first one I thought of accepting, as well. What do Dax and markofbane think? Do you guys have an opinion?

Riori Stargazer |

Hi all, thanks for having me!
Question left over from the application process: character was built with WBL for a 9th level character. Should I upgrade her to 10th level WBL or leave her--or even downgrade things? Not sure where y'all are equipment-wise.

![]() |

Hi, thanks for having me as well. Rogar isn't too polite fellow, so I'll try to make it up here in discussion :)
I'm interested about the WBL, too. I have not spent very much on gear yet.
For the alchemist shenigans: Is it possible to purchase potions of higher level?

![]() |

Let's do this: If the existing players don't mind auditing their character sheets, check to see about where you are. If you are not at WBL 10, go ahead and get enough to bring you up to that level and we'll just say that you've either found it during raids or purchased it. That work?

Chumtooth |

If you don't count the potions you gifted us, I am right about wealth per level for 10 (62,030 in magic items). If you do count the potions, I am at 65,030.
In other words, I don't need adjusting, except downward, if you want me to drop something to hit the mark.
