Evenstar drags the dead priestess closwer to the idol and pushes it off the altar. The lava stops flowing and it gets much cooler in the room. You can still hear screaming and begging to open the portal from the obsidian relief behind the altar.

Farg examines the obsidian relief. Wondering why it's making such noises. The Tiefling ascertains that it is magical and wonders aloud.
Either this is some form of illusion or there might actually still be people trapped behind here...

"Either sounds possible," Evenstar agrees.
"Do we bust it down? Anyone have any ideas?"
Okay, so we have a relief sculpture on the wall...here's a reminder of what they portray: 'The walls are decorated with reliefs of a gleaming brass city, a massive sandstorm scouring a desert, and a horde of fire elementals descending on a city full of terrified humans.'

Evenstar glowers at the portal.
"I do not know how to destroy such a thing, though I think we should make an attempt. These guys will keep coming back if we don't," she says.
"Should I try to break it down?" she wonders.

To finish this.
You start to tear the relief down and it finally breaks apart. From the cracks you hear cries of terror and the smoke spirits fly out and screech loudly before fading into smoke, never to reappear.
With the portal closed and the spirit obsidian relief destroyed Moloch's influence is now entirely halted.
You return the idol to the Pathfinder Society in Absalom, where the chroniclers and sages study its planar powers and the heritage of the archdevil Moloch. The Qadiran sandstorms recede, the fire creatures that have already wandered through the portal disperse, and the cult quiets in Qadira once more.
