Town of Belhaim

Hello everyone. I am interested in recruiting 2-3 more players for a 5th Edition conversion of The Dragon's Demand, a pfrpg module that goes from 1st-7th level. The 5th Ed. conversion should match that pretty closely.

Expectations from the GM
1) You know the 5E system well enough to game using it
2) You trust that we are all here to have fun
3) You post daily. Every. Single. Day. At least once.
4) You let me know if you have any problems and we try and work them out.

The Module is set in Belheim, which is in Taldor in the Verduran Forest.

To generate stats you can use the standard array OR point buy OR roll 4d6 drop the lowest.

A short backstory explaining why your character is in Belheim is all I need from you. Alternatively you can use the module's prewritten reason

Caravan Guards:
A large part of the adventure is getting to know the people of Belhaim and exploring its hinterlands, so it's best if the PCs are not natives of the town. This adventure assumes they've only recently arrived-if your players don't have any particular preference for how things begin, a man named Silas Gribb offers them a job as caravan guards. Upon the caravan's arrival in Belhaim, Gribb is arrested on a warrant for smuggling, and Belhaim's sheriff and his most skilled deputies head out within the hour to escort him and his confiscated caravan south to Cassomir. The PCs can easily convince the authorities of their ignorance about Silas' criminal activities, but are left stranded in Belhaim, as Silas is obviously unable to pay them for the caravan job.

I'd like to get this game rolling by next Monday. So I'll be choosing PC's soon. Honestly, I'm really just looking for a set of consistent daily posters. I already have 2 PC's from another game that are joining and so I only need 2-3 more PC's.

I'm sure you'll have questions and I'll be checking this thread frequently so I can answer them.

Edit: UA stuff is fine, but I reserve the right to alter things if they get silly.

I am from the previous game. I will be rolling up a Barbarian shortly...

I'm also from the previous game. Warlock or Wizard for me.

Feeling lucky ...

4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 1, 1) = 12 - 11
4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 2, 4) = 15 - 13
4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 4, 1) = 9 - 8
4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 5, 6) = 16 - 14
4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 4, 6) = 16 - 14
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 4, 6) = 19 - 16

I will likely go with the point buy...

Liberty's Edge

I am here too...will get something posted asap

What sources are you allowing?

Hi, I'd be interested in this. It would be my first PbP on these boards but I'm familiar with 5e (more so than pathfinder) and I really like the idea of a 5e game set in Golarion. I'm thinking about either a cleric or paladin, or, with UA on the table, it would be interesting to try out the new Artificer class.

Posting interest. I'd like to try out a hex pact warlock from the new unearthed arcana (don't worry, I won't multiclass, and you can change anything you view as too game-breaking if I choose it).

I'm very familiar with 5e, and can post everyday as long as other people can.

4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 2, 6) = 13 12
4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 4, 1) = 11 10
4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 3, 2) = 15 13
4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 1, 3) = 14 13
4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 4, 5) = 20 16
4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 1, 1) = 13 12

I'll have a character up within an hour.

Also, do you mind if I roll for equipment? Hex warlocks have medium armour, and it'd be nice to start with a set.

4d4 ⇒ (4, 2, 1, 1) = 8

This is Filios. I present Hack, Male Human Barbarian.

This is Soolam, Belac93's character. A literal Edgelord (his sword is named Edge, he is the lord of it, haha puns). A meek and gullible young man. Has anxiety issues. Very friendly.

His sword is named Edge, a several thousand abomination who wants to bath in blood. An egotistical bastard. Extremely sharp. Very friendly.

TPJ here. This is Vakase, Tiefling Warlock (Raven Queen patron).

Well, seems several people like the new unearthed arcana. Having 2 warlocks in the party would be interesting. Like clerics, but more weird stuff.

One of the campaigns I'm running had 2 warlocks, and the difference between them was night and day. That's one of the things I love about the class - so many different ways to fire Eldritch Blast. :)

Grand Lodge

Gm niles rocks- you will enjoy it

I am interested, but since we're joining a party, what other classes are there?

I am leaning towards a Cleric, because support is always good, but can easily run with a number of other ideas floating around in my head.

The two existing players are Hack (Barbarian) and Vakase (Raven Queen Warlock). The remaining spots are up to GM Niles, and I concur, he rocks!

I think I'm going to make a monky monk.

Attribute dice rolls:

4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 3, 4) = 15
4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 4, 2) = 12
4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 6, 4) = 18
4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 5, 1) = 16
4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 6, 3) = 18
4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 4, 1) = 14

That's 13, 11, 14, 15, 15, 13. Should have a character up today.

Liberty's Edge

Ok..here is my crunch for submission. I am looking to develop him into an arcane archer as he gains levels, but for now he is an ex-merc archer who recently hired on as a caravan guard.

Here is my (Archdevil's) submission - I know I said I was interested in a cleric or paladin, but when I sat down to actually think through my character ideas, I ended up creating a wizard. Let me know if anything needs changing in terms of the character sheet.

Can I use the rolls from the Ravenloft character I submitted in the other thread, if that character isn't selected?

Here is my submission:

Kartoss Le'Thial:

Wood Elf Monk 1
Chaotic Good Alignment

Str 11
Dex 17
Con 14
Int 13
Wis 16
Cha 13

HP 10
HD 1d8
AC 16
Proficiency Bonus +2

Speed 35'

Unarmed Strike +5 to hit; 1d4+3 damage

Skills: Acrobatics +5, Athletics +2, Insight +5, Perception +5, Survival +5

Race Traits: Darkvision, 60', Fey Ancestry, Trance, Fleet of Foot, Elf Weapon Training, Mask of the Wild

Class Features: Unarmored Defense (Wisdom), Martial Arts

Posessions: a belt pouch containing 10 gp,(b) an explorer’s pack, 10 darts

Background: Outlander (Feature: Wanderer; Origin: Exile)

Personality Trait: I was, in fact, raised by wolves.

Ideal: I must earn glory in battle, for myself.

Bond: I do not know where I come from, but I must ensure with my deeds that my life is remembered!

Flaw:Violence is my answer to almost any challenge.

History:

Kartoss is the last member of his noble family from Kyonin, who were unjustly accused of consorting with the enemy (the charges were never fully explained to him) and they were exiled instead of killed. Forced to roam the human lands, Kartoss watched his family killed off slowly as they sold themselves as mercenaries, relying on their famed (in the right circles) fighting style to earn coin. Kartoss is no different, but he seeks to earn glory for his family name, Le'Thial, and then take that glory and shove it down the throat of the so-called Kyonin nobles who forced his family into exile.

Kartoss throws himself into wherever the fighting is heaviest, seeking acclaim.

Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 5, 5) = 20 16
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 3, 6) = 18 15
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 3, 1) = 11 10
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 2, 2) = 8 07
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 6, 4) = 17 14
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 3, 1) = 12 11

OK, if we have a Barb and a Warlock, a cleric would fit in nicely.

Rolling for stats:

Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 5, 1) = 13= 12
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 6, 1) = 13= 12
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 6, 4) = 16= 14
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 4, 6) = 17= 15
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 5, 4) = 15= 14
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 4, 1) = 15= 14

Guess I can work with that. I'll likely post up a character tonight.

RE: Sources...anything published by WotC including UA. I reserve the right to ask you to change stuff though (especially regarding UA stuff) if I think its messing up the game.
RE: Starting equipment. You can roll OR take the standard starting equipment.

@Soolam Everything looks in order, thanks.
@Vakase Looks great. I'll make a discussion thread soon.

Mezegis here

Rurik is a jovial half-dwarf (variant human really, but that's because they don't let me have a half dwarf when we have a half-everything else!) who tries not to be a murder hobo and would much rather drink and socialize, even with his enemies!

Could you link us to Discussion when it opens?

Here you go!

Shenk, Vakase and Davin head over to the discussion thread.

@Everyone Else I'll pick 3 more to join them, lets set a deadline of Monday for characters.

Dark Archive

Hi there!

I was told that all the finest people are throwing their hat in this ring, so I thought that I'd throw my very fine hat into this very fine ring!

It seems like a lot of us are rolling dice, and we're delving into the wild, wild world of the UA. Since I wanna do what all the cool kids are doing, Imma do both this things as well!

First,

the dice!:

dice!: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 1, 6) = 18 17 Cha 18
dice!: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 2, 4) = 12 11 INT 11
dice!: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 4, 3) = 13 12 Con 12

dice!: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 5, 6) = 14 13 Dex 15
dice!: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 1, 3) = 13 12 WIS 12
dice!: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 4, 2) = 13 11 Str 11

From the addendums noted, I'll be keeping this roll, and applying them to the addendums. That were noted.

I've always wanted to play a fire-based sorcerer. And since the UA can finally make all that come true, here it is! =D

Backstory!:

One of Kara's favorite topics is herself. And sometimes that includes her past. Alas, every time she tells a story about her past, the story is always different. Sometimes she says she was exiled from her isolated commune. She lived with a cannibalistic necrophiliac for awhile, but eventually he moved on and got into some mind-altering drugs, so she left looking for caravan work. Other times she says that she she's a freelance mercenary, running from shadow to shadow, randomly chasing larks and coyotes.

The only story she's told twice is that she knows of a girl who had a normal life and was going to marry a man that was nice, but alas, was dumb as rocks. Her brother-in-law-to-be got drunk at the dress rehearsal which was held in a secluded place with no one else around. He became very, extremely, unforgivably aggressive, and the groom, a loving man who, alas, had a bit of a spinal deficiency, was not able to stop him. When the brother-in-law-to-be slapped the bride-to-be, the entire wedding party was consumed in a spontaneous cloud of fire, and the beautiful bride left to find some new lands in which to control her newfound powers of fire.
After telling this story she usually gets quite drunk, and the next morning denies ever telling it.
