Got excited for a second. Had a payment come out and came to look. It was for an order I placed mid December I've been waiting for. Good news it looks like it is about to get shipped. Still waiting on subscription order though :D

I'm looking up some data on where we're at with fulfillment. When I looked at Pawn boxes yesterday, I was much more confident about how much we had fulfilled overall than I am after looking at the Gods & Magic book fulfillment rate.
In addition to inventory in early January, a couple of the products getting tied up in customs longer than expected, the snow outages where the offices were open but several of the CS and warehouse folks were stuck at home, we also had a postal holiday on Monday for Martin Luther King Jr Day, and some internal meetings and such that tied up some resources.
I just had a chat with Will and they're hustling as fast as they can to get packages out the door. They'll be printing more of the bulk labels tomorrow afternoon/evening for some overtime shipping on the weekend. When the labels are printed those orders are being processed for shipping and the PDFs will be added where applicable. If you happen to fall into this category, please keep in mind that packages processed for shipping on a Friday evening wouldn't be picked up by our mail carriers until Monday afternoon.
I did let Will know how there's lots of folks waiting in particular for God's & Magic, and while the warehouse isn't going to prioritize those at the cost of overall efficiency, they'll see what they can do to get those orders processed for shipping so folks can get the PDF.

Thank you for the update!
My only subscription is the adventure path which should hopefully ship today or tomorrow. I'm really excited to be able to read the PDF for this new storyline!

Are both of these e-mails for the same order? It would be odd if they are actually authorizing the same order twice.
Or perhaps your original authorization expired and they renewed it? That happens a lot when your shipment is late in the cycle, as our shipments evidently are this time around.
hmm , that seems likely :(
oh well will keep waiting

I moved the estimated end of shipping date to Wednesday, January 29. I'll reevaluate and try to update on Monday.
So does that mean if it’s been pending since 1/14, I’ve had items ordered since 12/10 from the sale and a subscription item, it could be mid next week before it ships now?

Correct, same as me.

I’ve never had to wait almost a month and a half with Paizo before.

That's the downside of choosing Ship with Next Subscription. It saves you money, but you have to wait for your subscription shipment. In this case, because they shipped early in December to get things out by the holidays, there was a more-than-a-month-and-a-half gap between street dates for December (Dec 11) and January (Jan 29) products.

I put my order from the holiday sale on it's own. If it makes you feel better it ISN'T a part of my subscription and still hasn't shipped yet. Just charged, but not shipped. Here's hoping my holiday order ships tomorrow, subscription hasnt been charged yet, still waiting on that.

I just checked my account. Mine hasn’t charged either.

It's pretty much always this way for December/January.

Got my December subscription stuff right away. I'm still waiting on the December order that was automatically put into my sidecart (I didn't realize it, it didn't give me any options) and my January subscription stuff. I'm going to bet with the way my luck has been, since the shipping stuff has been pushed back to the street date that that's when I'll be charged and my stuff will shipped, since it's been pending since the 14th but I haven't been charged yet for my sub. It'll be at my FLGS before I get it.

So if I did not get a notice from last night's bulk print job, is is safe to say I won't get my PDF this weekend?

You might get it today. The business day is barely just starting for Paizo, so the item might be shipped (and consequently the PDF unlocked) any time in the next 8 or 9 hours.
That's what I'm crossing my fingers for. Would love to have this book for the weekend.

That was posted yesterday, which would make the extra label batch is this afternoon/evening, so it sounds like you still have a chance.

unless paizo ships on the weekends, at this point i shouldnt expect gods and magics i ordered back in december to make it on time anymore, should i?
:(
Doesn't really matter when you ordered it specifically, as it was a pre-order.
That said, there's still time for the book to ship to you today. And there was mention of some weekend work so it might ship to you then.
But certainly there's a reasonable chance you or I won't get it till after street date. It seems like there's been a whole host of unfortunate complications around this shipping cycle, so we're just gonna have to hang on. Some people have been getting their PDFs as early as a week ago, so it's not like there are no books around.
Side note, already once with the World Guide in the fall did a new book get delayed at other retailers as well. A lot of Amazon orders were delayed weeks at least on that one. So when though we as subscribers might be brushing up against the street date here, the street date itself might not be working out for everybody either.

It’s worth knowing that for those who subscribe “getting it early” is not one of the promised perks.
It’s usually true that if you’re a subscriber, you’ll have the PDF before streetdate (and depending on where you live, possibly the hardcopy too). There are times when the book hits shelves though before all subscribers have had their shipping notices.

looks like i had my actual charge go throug, so about a week since my 1st pending notification, no pdf and not shipped yet but im hopeful that it will be soon :)
My charge went through when they authorized on the 14th. (It used store credit). So I've been waiting about 10 days for shipping. Not worried, they get it out eventually.

Which has the fringe benefit of getting subscribers their PDFs tomorrow rather than on Monday.

There’s a weird thing with store credit (not trying to gainsay you as it’s functionally identical, but it’s a peculiarity people may not be aware of). As I understand it, it’s effectively treated the same as a credit card - so that charge you saw is actually a hold, but it’s deducted from the customer-facing interface so you know how much is left.
In fact, you could cancel the product up until shipping date and the hold would “expire” much like a credit card authorisation does (though presumably much faster). It doesn’t actually “count” as you buying the product until it is shipped.
I’ve seen this before when I spent my store credit, then later added a bunch of things that put me over the limit for a shipping discount. Both orders deducted the full value, but when the package shipped I got a $10 credit back in “change”.
Pretty rare, but I find the inner workings of Paizo’s IT infrastructure interesting. Plus there’s nothing else to do for a month until I find out how Attack of the Swarm ends and Extinction Curse begins!

What a great benefit that is...if you get it then. The shipping window has been extended until Wednesday, which means subscribers could get it the same time it’s released into the wild for pdf purchase.

Same. Charged on 14th (Store Credit) and in the same boat. Though this is normal procedure, just taking a bit longer than usual. (It does not help the anticipation that we haven't received a subscription shipment in over 2 months, and there is a ton of awesomeness this month) Though I understand all the kinks (Inventory, Weather, Customs) caused more delays and will be patient.

Some will probably get it after streetdate. That’s often the case for at least some subscribers.

I was specifically referring to the people whose orders got their shipping labels applied today (Saturday) -- they would have their PDFs by now, as opposed to those whose orders are officially "shipped" Monday, who wouldn't get their PDFs until then. So some customers will benefit from that overtime even if it doesn't get the physical product to them any sooner.

Now that it's winter and I'm on call for shoveling snow, my days are broken down into "it's snowing today" and "it's not snowing today" so I totally understand.

When does February ship? I may get them roughly the same time it feels.
While your question may be largely tongue in cheek, the February shipping thread is up. Subs are presently expected to ship between February 10th and 21st.
(Fwiw, my order hasn't shipped either.)
