this is the worst part of subscriptions...the waiting lol. I can't wait for the ship so I can download the PDFs and start diving into the material. I've never gotten an authorization email in the entire time I've ha da sub for the second edition ( roughly 5 months). I usually just find out when the order pops up in my order history as preparing to ship.

I hate the waiting too, especially when other people get theirs and start discussing. Lol. Pathfinder envy. I seem to get my downloads several days after other people.

I’ll be happy if I get the pdf before Saturday. My champion just hit level 8 and I haven’t selected feats yet. I’ve managed to give him at least one feat from each Lost Omens book so far and hope to continue the practice!

It would be a problem if it were in your pending order, as that would hold up your pending order indefinitely.

So I guess my account has the "invisible order until shipped glitch" cause other then the sidecart product my "Gods & Magic" Lost Omens subscription has gone AFK from my account until the shipping happens.

last time one of my subscriptions was authorized I had to call in and request another copy of my authorization email to be sent to me. couldn't even see the subscription pending on my account until they sent me the authorization email to me again too.

Got my authorization email! :) Must be just lower in the processing list then I thought.

It would seem the deck of many worlds disappeared from my sidecart and didn't make it on the order.

If it's pushed back, no prob, if it's just the disappearing glitch that's been going around could you add the Deck of Many Worlds to my order.

Thanks! No hurry, stay safe in the inclement weather!!

I assume it was to everyone. It informed you that the shipping cost was going to be higher because the box was bigger than normal. At least I thought it was an email, but I can't find it anymore.

I didn't really notice until now, but I think I did not get any authorization mails after the beginning of October (there were two SF adventure path volumes authorised and shipped in October I think, and I only have authorization mails up the first, Attack of the Swarm 3). I got all shipment emails though, and my stuff always arrived properly. I now also see that my subscription order is already pending, but I have not gotten any mail regarding it (also not in my Spam).

Hello folks!

We have finished generating January subscription orders. It seems we are still having some trouble sending out confirmation emails, so please check your order history page to confirm your order details. If you have any questions or concerns, please send us an email, give us a call, or start a new thread in this forum. Thank you!

Hello Captain,

I have put a Deck of Many Worlds into your pending order to resolve the issue. I couldn't find where a sidecart one might have gone. If you notice anything peculiar, please let us know so we can investigate further. Thank you!

When will the SF AP line catch up with the PF2 AP line? It seems out of wack with book 6 coming out this month for SF and book 1 for the PF2 line.

Thanks for your patience with January! In addition to the items that took extra time getting through customs, the Seattle region got dumped on with snow and we've been working with some outages and delayed starts.

My guess is the ongoing zaniness with the sidecart pushed it out when I pre-ordered the Starfinder pocket edition.

Or maybe the pocket edition got jealous and pushed it out.

Perhaps I'll add something else to the sidecart and see what sort of death match I cause.

I think I saw a video that indicates this is intentional and it won't be changing (for now).

This is my first time at the rodeo, so if someone could help clarify the details for me, I'd be much obliged.

I haven't gotten any sort of confirmation email, but my two products (Gods and Magic and the new AP) show as Pending. That means everything is going to plan, correct?

And then, when the items ship, it's possible at that time to also download the pdfs for the shipped items. Am I understanding all of that correctly?

I think you've about got it! Should have gotten an email yesterday or thereabouts though. Just cross fingers for them shipping out soon. Since you didn't get a first email, double check your address on file but otherwise just keep an eye out on this website.

I'm pretty new too. Fun times to be a subscriber. Some really cool releases every month into the summer.

And you may want to click on the "View Order" link to be sure that they are shipping all of the right things and none of the unwanted things to you.

My Starfinder map Dead world and the Starfinder accessory deck of many worlds were not in my subscription order - can this be updated? I made a separate thread about it in this forum but I see responses coming through to others in this thread.

Thanks.

August, they pushed Starfinder APs back a month to concentrate on the Pathfinder 2 launch.

Hey folks!

I thought I'd just clarify a little of what I read here!

1. We are having some ongoing technical issues sending out confirmation emails it seems. You should receive a confirmation email for your order, but we've noticed the reports that folks aren't receiving theirs. This isn't a cause for alarm as long as you also notice that your new items are pending and in your order history.

2. The Starfinder and Pathfinder Adventure Path releases are staggered intentionally, so we don't currently plan to line them up so their first and last release at the same time again.

3. Making your own thread is the best way to get help on the forums. While I may sometimes jump into this thread to help out someone, it's because I don't want them to be lost and forgotten in this thread or what they are reporting sounds like it could be a widespread issue. It would really help to default ot making our own thread if your issue might require action by a CS rep.

Same. I'm not sure why they decided to start shipping late on a Friday before a long holiday weekend... Got my hopes way up.

It is spooking me that we're on day five of an eight day period and no one seems to have it yet, at least on the boards. I was planning on running Extinction Curse this weekend, so if the deadline of the 24th isn't going to happen it would be good to know ahead of time.

They like to give everyone a few days to spot problems - books that haven't been shipped. Books being erroneously shipped, etcetera. It's quite common to have the process go slowly at the pre-auth/early shipping stage and then build up speed once they get cracking.

In this particular case, the pre-auth run took a little longer (their system seems to be having trouble with emails and who-knows-what-else the last few months), so they still gave us a couple of days to check stuff before beginning shipping.

It's a long and drawn out process but it's all designed around not trapping subscribers into receiving (and paying for) things we don't want and giving us every chance to make necessary changes.

Oh, for sure. I probably sound like I'm complaining more than I'm intending to. I think everyone here is just really excited and the process is a bit longer than normal while also being pretty quiet on the Paizo front. Which is fine! Just means I'm opening this site every hour or so wondering if there are any updates. :)

Oh no, I didn't think you were complaining. There just is a reason - exacerbated by the tech issues this time around as well, I suspect.

You probably knew it already, but I figured some other people might not appreciate the reasons behind the drawn out process:

1. pre-subscription warning
2. pre-shipping authorisation
3. pause-for-a-couple-of-days
4. begin shipping
5. take a few weeks to finish shipping (hopefully by streetdate)
6. go back and work out who got skipped for whatever reason

Every month there are people who think they've been charged at steps 1-4 when it's not actually until 5. Plus the reason behind dragging out steps 1-4 isn't immediately obvious until you consider all the thousands of other subscribers and all their varying and probably mercurial needs.

Some people have had it for several days. Check the Gods and Magic thread, forum users there have been answering questions about the contents of the book.

I appreciate all the information you guys have been able to give me. And I don’t want to give off the aura of complaining either — I’m just checking to make sure the deadline of the 24th is still holding, since I’m running it on the 25th!

I keep reading the words authorisation which to me implies that the person is notified and must make an action to give the OK. But when I ask about it, people say I need to do nothing. Can we just call it pre-shipping notification because as the days go by and I keep seeing pending and not shipping I keep wondering if there is something I am missing.

That's just literally what the process is called. Paizo didn't name it.

Credit card authorization takes about 30 seconds and it does not involve us, no real need to list it as a step in the process.

So far everyone who answered my questions regarding authorization has stated that authorization was the email that they send you detailing out the order that was generated. It does not mention authorization of any kind, credit card or otherwise. It literally is a notification that the order was generated.

I understand the need to wait to give people a chance to cancel the order. I'm just saying the process could be better described.

In my listing, the email was step one. (You suggested pre-shipping notification, I called it a pre-shipping warning). The reason long term subscribers often call it an “authorisation email” is because Paizo do a credit card authorisation at the same time.

Credit card authorisation is a step in the process and although you’re right that it doesn’t involve us having to do anything, it is visible to us and causes a lot of confusion.

Probably the most common subscription query from new customers is “I’ve been charged but my order hasn’t shipped and I haven’t got the PDF”. In fact, Paizo have run a credit card authorisation (and the customer is seeing the credit card authorisation which they think is a charge) but have not yet shipped the product.

The reason I single out the preshipping authorisation as a separate step two is to make it clear that you seeing a charge on your online banking but not receiving your books/PDFs is in fact things working as intended.

That process I listed was what Paizo are doing - from our side of things, we don’t actually do anything. The process in regards to the customer is:

1. Wait
2. Open package

But there is a confusing and drawn out series of events happening at Paizo’s end which often concerns and/or worries new subscribers as they receive emails, see charges, see orders as pending, get further emails...

Yeah. It's just a weird scenario this time around. The delay around the holidays and such means that it's been two months since we've gotten any monthly subs. Add to that the very long delay since order generation due to the long weekend and everything, and you're gonna see a few restless folks. People are just excited, and we're getting some REALLY good looking books this winter, so I'm not surprised that I'm not the only one checking in very frequently.

Throw in the issue with customs delaying the initial order generation, and the snow storm that hit the Paizo region around the time orders were about to start getting ready.

For me it's.

1. Notice I get first notice in the morning before work.

2. One week later, notice I got the shipping email at the end of the day after work

3. Ignore PDF

4. Two days later open package that's waiting for me after work

5. Revel in new books.

Yeah, the date of oder generation has (little to) no influence on your position in the line of shipping.
My order hasn't shipped as well, and the end shipping date is an estimate, so they might need to still ship orders on Monday as well.

Unless a Paizo employee states that shipping is complete, there's no need to panic. They just haven't gotten to shipping 'our' books yet.

If they are down to two days or less worth of shipments, they can still make their original deadline. My best guess, since they haven't revised the end date for shipments, is that they still think they can make it.

It's less selfless, but you could sell them to the used book store. You may get a little money from it, but it still helps other people get into Pathfinder at a lower cost than buying new. And if it makes you feel better, you could donate the money you get to a charity of your choice as well!

If your "actual charge" went through, that would mean that your order has shipped and you should have your PDF. Are both of these e-mails for the same order? It would be odd if they are actually authorizing the same order twice.

Or perhaps your original authorization expired and they renewed it? That happens a lot when your shipment is late in the cycle, as our shipments evidently are this time around.
