I make a lot of characters just for fun in my free time, many of which never get to see the light of day. Therefore, I decided to make this thread as a place where people can see all of my concepts, all of my builds, in one place.

Please feel free to use the following characters in your home games in whatever manner you wish (but please don't use them elsewhere, such as in a novel or as part of your personal product line). All of my creations exclusively use Paizo's Pathfinder campaign setting rules and follow all the rules therein, as outlined in the Pathfinder Core Rulebook and supplements. The characters use the "Lump Sum" option for their starting gear and generally assume that uncommon items necessary for the character concept to work are freely available. They otherwise follow all of the standard rules of the game as I interpret them. None of these characters use any intentional house rules, though as with any complex game, please expect, and allow for, some leeway for interpretive differences of the rules (for example, I have no problem with completely changing the flavor, or description, of a given game element to better match my concept). Therefore, please be sure to check with your GM before using any new character or concept from my Emporium. Also, please feel free to change the characters to better suit your own use.

And one last thing. "Character Emporium" is something of a misnomer as I shall be including things other than player character concepts here (such as NPCs, homebrew monsters and items, GM/player tools, etc.). Nevertheless it is named such due to the fact that the overwhelming majority of my work are in fact player character concepts.

So, without further ado, please take a gander at my marvelous creations, leave comments, critiques, and corrections in the little white box near the entrance marked "reply." If you like what you see, please also hit the "Like" button of this, the first post, before you leave.

I'm afraid that's all I've been able to upload today, but don't fret! This is only a fraction of those to come, so please check back often! I will be posting individual links for each character throughout the thread, and you can view all of my creations in one place using the links provided below:

Second Edition Pathfinder Character Gallery
First Edition Pathfinder Character Gallery (and comment thread)
Starfinder Character Gallery (and comment thread)

Please also feel free point out errors or mistakes in my work, suggest alternative build options, or even post your own characters and ideas here, in full or in part!

How do you get those symbols into word?

I downloaded them right off the website here.

Here's how I did it in Chrome:

1) Simply go to a page like this one that has a lot of those action images.

2) Right click on an image and select INSPECT from the context menu. That should open up a new window pain with a bunch of web code.

3) At the top, there are several tabs. Select SOURCES. That should show you a folder structure with all the files used to make up that particular web page, including all of the images therein.

4) Navigate to the IMAGES > ACTIONS folder to find the correct images (there should be 10 in all, two for each action, in black and white).

5) Simply download the images from that folder to your computer.

Other web browsers have similar functionality, but the layout and tool names might be different. This is just something I've learned from my time as a web developer.

In Microsoft Word, where I make the character sheets (more or less manually) I use 12 pt Calibri for my font. I just paste the images directly inline with the text (just as if I were pasting a letter or word into a sentence) and then resize the image height to 0.15 of an inch, while keeping its original proportions (so it doesn't look smooshed).

That's really all there is to it. I hope that helps!

Breadcrumbs is the real treasure here tho.

Silver Crusade

Caladrel can move.. It's great that such a focused concept also allows for a well-made, practical and playable character. She's really good at her job.

I always love reading through your characters. Thanks for sharing this with us.

One thing I noticed is that Brendall Landstander's animal companion (Gur) is missing the attribute damage (+3) for his claw.

Just for kicks, how about a "You've gotta be kidding me!" concept:

Gildeem the Star-singer:
Gnome (Wellspring [Divine] Gnome) Emissary Cleric (Warpriest of Desna); probably 12 Str, 14 Dex, 12 Con, 10 Int, 16 Wis, 14 Cha at 1st
1st- Gnome Obsession (Goblin Lore); yep, a gnome emissary to goblins
2nd- Emblazon Armament, Quick Repair
3rd- Adopted Ancestry (Goblin), Expert in Performance (Sing)
4th- Bard Dedication (Polymath muse), Fascinating Performance
5th- Goblin Song*, Expert in Religion
6th- Basic Bard Spellcasting, Impressive Performance
7th- Fleet, Expert in Occultism
8th- Inspirational Performance, Virtuoso Performer (Sing)
9th- First World Adept, Master in Performance (Sing)
10th- Basic Muse's Whispers (Esoteric Polymath), Magical Shorthand
11th- Incredible Initiative, Master in Occultism
12th- Expert Bard Spellcasting, Group Impression
13th- Vivacious Conduit, Master in Religion
14th- Occult Breadth, Oddity Identification
15th- Legendary in Performance (Sing), Legendary Performer

Pick up a +1 starknife with a returning rune at 4th level or so, and emblazon it. Boost Str to 14 at 5th (along with Dex, Wis, and Cha) to use scale mail without penalty.

*- unlike goblins, Gildeem will tailor the song to the opponent(s); note that Goblin Song (one action) and Inspire Courage (one action) can both count in the same round, as one is a status penalty to opponents and the other is a status bonus to allies

NEW CHARACTER!

Riva Sarjenka, the Dragon Sage (LN female cavern elf scholar sorcerer 13)

(aka the Scaled Lady, aka the Dark Mistress, aka Lady Sarjenka)

Riva Sarjenka stands out from other casters in that she has nearly half again as many spell slots and spells with which to fill them. The synergy provided by her Wizard Multiclass archetype and Arcane Evolution feat grant her far more versatility in spell selection than is typical of the sorcerer class.

Enjoy!

(And yes, once we get access to the kobold ancestry, I will most definitely stat out Riva's adopted kobold daughter, Tarka Firefang Sarjenka, a young illusionist known for her childish pranks.)

NEW CHARACTER!

Jensen, Battle Oracle (LN female half-elf acolyte fighter 11)

Based on build suggestions in this thread, Jensen is a bastard-sword wielding town guardswoman who, between her wizard spell slots and staff of divination, is capable of casting true strike a dozen times per day. This unique capability grants her unparalleled accuracy on many of her most important attacks and allows for frequent use of her Bespell Weapon feat for even more damage.

She also excels at disrupting opponents' actions and has a variety of additional tricks up her sleeve such as being able to boost her speed all day long, fly, turn invisible, use divine scrolls, and more!

It's not all build though! She comes with an exciting backstory detailing her terrible history as a former cultist of Zon-Kuthon, her unusual social rehabilitation and the ongoing threat to the future that it still represents, and her striving to be a defender of the weak despite having only one arm and a head full of dark knowledge. Unbeknownst to her the Prince of Pain's sinister agents are closing in, and it is only a matter of time before they catch up to their prized acolyte.

Enjoy!

Grand Lodge

Out of curiosity, exactly how many times can you cast True Strike with Jensen? By my count I can get to 8/day: Your highest spell level you can cast is 3, so the staff starts with 3 charges; you then expend your single 3rd level spell slot for 3 more charges, and prepare your single 1st and 2nd level spells to True Strike. Total of 8 castings of True Strike.

Am I missing anything?

Also, is Felling Strike included in your feats and features as the feat chosen through combat flexibility? I assume it is, because otherwise I don't see how you have that and Bespell Weapon.

I love the character; it never occurred to me you could put shifting on a staff to allow you to cast spells through it AND use the actual weapon you want.

Also, great backstory, I love it :D

The Ring of Wizardry (Type I) on her sheet adds another two 1st level spell slots.

Given Power strike and other 2 action attacks, haste is probably worth more than an extra casting of true strike, and I'd guess the 2nd level slot with enlarge is more likely to be sacrificed to the staff. Or maybe none. 6 castings of true strike is still quite a lot.

If you read the thread I linked to when I posted the character, there is an ongoing debate as to whether cantrips count as spells for the purposes of charging a staff. If true, she would get 6 base charges, not 3.

6 base + 3 for sacrificing 3rd-level spell + 3 prepared normally = 12 total

I recognize that, that might not fly at every table, but it's convincing enough for me until we get confirmation otherwise, and it helps me to "sell the character" in the meantime.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot...

CHARACTER SHEET UPDATES!

I spent a lot of money on licensing the fonts used in the Core Rulebook and Bestiary just so that I could bring the look of the character sheets closer to the stat block styles used in the books. Every single character in the Emporium has had it's sheet design and layout completely overhauled. I hope you guys like the changes as much as I do! :D

(You should be able to use the previously posted links to access the new designs.)

Yes, you are correct. She gets it from her combat flexibility class feature. If you read combat flexibility on the character sheet, the last sentence states: Unless you state otherwise, these stats assume you gain Felling Strike.

NEW CHARACTER!

Jihiro Pike, War Wizard (LN male human Chelish rebel wizard 9)

Jihiro Pike is a Thrune loyalist turned dissident. With the political power of a noble, the arcane might of a war wizard, the espionage skills of a deep undercover agent, and the long-hidden secrets of Cheliax's horrific misdeeds forever seared into his memory, he is a man meant to shake a nation.

Jihiro is designed to be able to do a number of things rather well: protect himself and others, blow things up, and perform the role of a spy.

The first is accomplished by his myriad ongoing spells and abjurer class abilities. The second is accomplished by his powerful one-hit-wonder area effect spells, battlefield control spells, and flaming sphere spells/scrolls (which can do 16d6 fire damage on--and after--round 3). The third is accomplished primarily through his skills and skill feats which allow him to surreptitiously read the lips of unsuspecting Thrune loyalists, pass silent signals to fellow agents, smuggle contraband and forged documents to where they will have the most impact, and otherwise gain much needed intel in both the courts of the nobility and on the streets of the downtrodden.

As I often try to do, this character also comes with an involved backstory detailing his life as a noble, the betrayal of his family, his service in the Chelaxian military, and how he came to possess one of the most horrific and damning secrets of his once beloved nation.

Should you wish to build for a higher level, I would advise increasing Jihiro's Diplomacy proficiency and picking up the Gladhand and Entourage feats (the latter from Lost Omens Character Guide) to better represent his burgeoning spy ring. Alternatively, Jihiro can move to Taldor and operate from there while picking up abilities from the Lion Blade archetype.

Enjoy!

Interesting.

I could have sworn that was Quinn. :P

I've always found Paizo's hooks, ideas, and stories to be really compelling and inspiring, and have been using Paizo's various resources as jumping off points for my characters for years. (It's one of the many reasons why I've stuck with Pathfinder for so long.) Many of my characters are wholly original, while others are cobbled together flesh golems made from parts and snippets of campaign book plot hooks, adventure path setups, blog stories, novels and comics, and numerous other sources. In any case, I always try to make them unique enough to stand out as their own character as much as possible.

Ed Reppert wrote:

Heresy, sedition, and treason. He was essentially one of the rebels who saw the evils in the Thrune leadership and wanted to do something about it, using his business as a front and his connections as a highly successful merchant to further the aims of Thrune's enemies.

Ed Reppert wrote:

Superscript symbols are always spelled out on the character sheet, usually at the end of the section in which they appear. The only exception perhaps being the superscript B, which generally means "bonus" as in a Bonus Feat granted by your background, class, or even another feat.

If I remember correctly, the asterisks were on Breadcrumbs' sheet, and denoted gear that he didn't normally carry with him into dangerous areas (he's literally not strong enough to, and I wasn't willing to give up the gear nor saddle him with a bunch of penalties).

Asterisks on other characters might mean something totally different, however, and so you will have to check the footnotes.

Probably bribes. Lots of bribes. He was certainly wealthy enough for it.

From Lost Omens World Guide, pages 99-100: Low-born but talented individuals can always find patrons willing to advance their careers in exchange for profits or reflected glory and can often marry or bribe their way into titles of their own in time.

NEW CHARACTER!

Eibon Ruiz, The Heart Collector (CE male versatile human criminal wizard 18)

A sadist and sociopath, the emotionless Eibon Ruiz was once known by the moniker “Eibon the Ruthless” due to his preference for horrific attack spells that maim and mutilate the bodies of his enemies. His favorite attack, death clutch, and his penchant for carrying the extracted hearts of his victims, have long since earned him another nickname: The Heart Collector.

Today, none but Norgorber know his real name. Everyone from his past has been methodically silenced. Any who learn of it, are not long for the world of the living.

The Heart Collector usually works from the shadows, aiding powerful people in return for favors, protection, and financing for his ongoing research into deific ascension. On the rare occasions he ventures out into the public, he does so disguised as a trustworthy figure, such as a visiting priest of a good-aligned deity. Any who manage to pierce his veil of secrecy and confront his evil machinations with violence not only have to deal with the formidable powers of an 18th-level wizard, but the divine powers bestowed by a dark god, an army of heartless undead, and monstrous bodyguards on loan from powerful political figures as well!

Long before it comes to open combat however, such potential heroes would first need to survive the inevitable fallout for denouncing one favored by so many.

I'd go into specific tactics and the like, but being an 18th-level mystic theurge, there really isn't much he can't do. Besides, Norgorber protects the secrets of his servants, so you'll just have to figure out some of those cool combos for yourself. Enjoy uncovering his many secrets!

NEW CHARACTER!

Gebralter, Scourge of the High Seas (CN male wellspring gnome aspiring Free Captain wizard 14)

There are few pirates feared among all the High Seas. The great scourge, Gebralter, is one of those few. His name is whispered in night-time tavern tales in much the same manner as that of a ghost—and for many, that is what he is—a ghastly haunt that terrorizes pirates and honest men alike upon the open sea.

This character is primarily designed around two things: being effective as a terrifying illusionist, conman, and pirate; and utilizing various focus point mechanics to basically just stay invisible all the time.

If you want to play a higher level version of the character, I highly recommend picking up the Effortless Concentration feat, as that will allow him to sustain multiple spells at once without it counting so heavily against his action economy.

Interesting. :-)

Some of your high level wizards have in their spell books every spell of every level up to about two below the highest level they can cast. This one doesn't. Why the difference?

Dr. Dolittle is a vicious pirate first and a studious wizard second. He doesn't have much time for libraries when he could be robbing the trade lanes blind or picking up the latest gossip from the seagulls. Besides, the other pirate scalawags would pick on him if he spent too much time with his nose in books (especially books without pictures)! XD

Also, I wanted him to be different. :P

What's Gebralter's thesis? And is it mentioned somewhere in his stats?

His spell list looks like he has the Spell Blending thesis. But he also has the Drain Familiar action of the Improved Familiar Attunement thesis.

He has the spell blending arcane thesis. It should be mentioned in his Class Feats & Abilities section near the bottom of the character sheet.

He got his familiar through his ancestry, then beefed it up with a class feat.

By casting it more than once. Unless I'm mistaken, you can sustain up to three spells at once.

He has several scrolls of 4th-level flaming sphere. 4th-level flaming sphere does 5d6 damage. He also prepared it once at 5th-level (for 6d6 damage).

5d6 + 5d6 + 6d6 = 16d6

Though in hindsight, he might need Quicken Spell or Effortless Concentration first to pull off all three.

Hope that helps!

Or Haste! I was waiting to see what you'd say, RD, but this was where I thought you were going.

It's a great image, 3 balls of fire rolling around a battlefield. Imagine the chaos you'd sow pulling that trick against an army of foot soldiers.

Edit: Haste doesn't work here actually.

Oh oh oh, okay, duh. I was thinking you meant in a single cast and I was all like holy wow I wanna do that lol. Thanks Raving. =)

Grand Lodge

Yeah without Quicken Spell/effortless concentration the action economy doesn't really work out.
Cast Flaming Sphere 1
Sustain 1, cast FS 2
Sustain 1, Sustain 2, out of actions to cast another 2 action FS.

And Haste doesn't work to solve the issue either since you can only Stride or Strike with the spare action.

TWO NEW CHARACTERS

Bonk, Pathfinder diversity hire (N male unbreakable goblin martial disciple monk 3)

Bonk, a delusional war veteran and border crosser, is a (hilarious? offensive?) commentary on the modern American social fringe.

Slun, musical virtuoso (NG female unbreakable goblin barkeep bard 3)

Slun is a simple barkeep with big dreams of bringing goblin cultural music into the Absalom mainstream. She doesn't do comedy (at least not deliberately); she honestly believes her scavenged kid costume is appropriate for a serious entertainer.

Lost a bet with some friends of mine and so had to post the craziest characters they could think of, so whether you love or hate them, please don't take it out on me.

Enjoy! (I hope.)

CHARACTER REVISION

I just realized that Shisio transforming his one-handed major staff of evocation into a two-handed scythe might not fly at many tables. Therefore, I have added a Homebrew section to the character sheet.

Instead of a +2 greater striking greater frost ghost touch shifting major staff of evocation, Shisio now wields Reaper's Wrath, a major staff of evocation that possesses the base form of a scythe rather than a staff.

If your GM allows a versatile staff to transform into a two-handed weapon via the shifting rune, then feel free to use the previous version of the character (which was 2gp richer). This revision assumes that, that is not the case.
