Thought I'd post here as others may have the same issue.
Just got my order authorization email and it looks like the Advantage discount applied to the core rule book, but not the bestiary for the subscription.
Assuming this is a glitch. Let me know if I misread something.
My order #: 7916530

Hello folks,
It looks like even though our internal software told us it was setting subs to end with Adventure Path 144, the goblins had got to it and taught it about dishonesty. If you needed to cancel with 144 but see 145 on your order please let us know. We always try to get sub related things done before we start shipping and we should be able to get it fixed for you.

Come on, software, old buddy, don't let me down!
(Also I know this is a separate issue but I still see Starfinder Society Subscription as pending even though it has been a week now, I think.)

A couple things:
1) right now I feel like Beetlejuice at the end of the movie where he's holding number 6432787665 and they're serving number 3
2) Diego, you can go ahead and slip me the PDF of the core book for 2nd edition. No one else will know. This is just between you and me.

Ed Reppert |

I don't have an authorization email yet. Also this I copied from a post I made a few minutes ago in a "general discussion" thread about 2nd edition subs:
"The "my Subscriptions" page, for me, lists PFS Scenario 2-23 and SFS Scenarios 2-03 and 2-04 as upcoming subscriptions at full price. No indication of anything being "complimentary". Like Zaister, I still have the PC sub listed as active, though the "next product" listed is "Chronicle of Legends", which I already have.
Also, my PF Accessories sub, which I started about nine days ago, is not list among my active subs, although the GM Screen, character sheet pack, combat pad and condition card deck are in my sidecart, marked as subscription items."
My reading of the new rules on complimentary subs to the scenarios is that both SFS and PFS scenarios should be complimentary for me.

Given how many of us didn't get our auth e-mails yet, I wouldn't be surprised if the process crashed at some point and Diego has to do something to get it going again. Note that it is still morning in Washington and Diego might well be the only one in the office at all today.

Captain Morgan |

Two questions.
1) If I place my order today, will it still most likely be part of the initial batch shipped? IE, arriving as close to August 1st as possible?
2) Does the level of shipping I pay for affect when I will be likely to get the books in this case? It sounds like you guys are trying to make sure everyone gets their books at about the same time, regardless of where they live or what level of shipping they paid for, but I want to make sure before I commit to the cheapest option.
Edit: I'm not a subscriber, so forgive me if this is the wrong thread for this.

It probably isn't worthwhile to go for anything but the cheapest shipping if you are American, as the range of times in transit is fairly small. For example, I am getting two packages with times estimated as follows:
Package 1: 5-23 days to ship, 4-8 days in transit
Package 2: 7-28 days to ship, 4-8 days in transit
So the major uncertainty is how long it takes your package to leave the Paizo warehouse. I have read that the "in transit" times of shipments to some other countries are more variable, so reducing that those times might be worthwhile in such cases. But for those of us getting domestic shipments, we are already in the "home stretch" once our packages leave the warehouse.

Hello Folks.
I came into the office today to check up on the auth. It looks like it crashed overnight. It is up and going again.
My thanks to you and your team for all the hard work you have been putting in!

I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask it, but I'm a little confused.
I went to set up a subscription for the PF2 Core Rulebook, and I put in my shipping address - which is Australia - but it's not giving me any shipping cost.
I really, really don't think there's going to be no shipping - we're talking about Australia here. Does anyone know how I can estimate my shipping cost or would they know the cost of shipping to Australia? I don't want to place my order without this knowledge.

Steve Geddes |

It's going to be expensive. I'm in Adelaide and if I try to ship just the Core Rulebook here on its own it's $43-13USD or more (and that method takes a couple of weeks, the quicker and most expensive is $107-05).
However, don't forget that if you're subscribing you're going to get both the Core Rulebook and the Bestiary this month. Shipping those to Adelaide is more complicated as I'm now getting the $10 discount on shipping for ordering more than $100.
The slow cost for the two books works out at $44-37USD however the fastest, quickest option is much more expensive - $124-21USD.
You will get the PDFs for free (which is $30USD of value, if you use PDFs) so that factors into things. However, the reality is that Paizo are not cheap shippers - especially over here. (There's also GST to add on to all of that, but it's likely you'll pay that no matter where you buy it).

To calculate shipping costs (this method is reliable for books in stock and pretty good, but not infallible in cases such as this one where the books in question haven't yet been released). You can do the following:
1. Add everything you might be interested in shipping into your shopping cart.
2. Select "Checkout" which will bring up a three or four stage process (with some chunky numbered squares).
3. Go to the second stage (the shipping stage) - you'll see all the various options that can be selected to that configuration of goods.
4. Go back to your cart and "Remove All"
A couple of notes:
1. If you're looking to start a subscription, no shipping will be shown so you have to actually add an item from the subscription into the cart to see what the shipping options will be
2. From your cart you can use the "save for later" button to move things into a kind of "holding bay" and experiment with shipping partial bundles. Often the inclusion of very large items precludes certain cheaper options from showing up - this is the case with the Core Rulebook, for example. There are some shipping options which have a weight and/or size cap and the system just doesn't present that as an option if you've got some ineligible items in there.
3. The shipping options show a cost you can trust and a time estimate you can't. My experience is that the upper limit is a few days optimistic. Plus it doesn't take into account how long your order sits in the queue. The time listed is once your book leaves the Paizo warehouse, not the time from when you place the order. In heavy traffic periods, that can be a good two or even three weeks.
Final note - Paizo always send you an email a few days before shipping your subscriptions. I think it's always worth checking that over - it tells you what the total is going to be (including shipping) and it's always possible to email/phone them and cancel or amend the order at that point before you're actually charged (though there might be a temporary hold on your credit card).
If you'd like some unsolicited advice as a fellow Australian - I don't think it's worth subscribing from a purely monetary perspective unless you're going to sign up for four subscriptions. In that case you'll get 15% off, plus you'll usually be bundling a number of books into the package each month (driving down the shipping/unit cost) plus the PDFs will be of higher value.
If you're just looking for the rules, I'd get onto your Local Gaming Store. I have a friend who swears by Book Depository (although I'm always suspicious of overseas online retailers matching street date down here).
For me, that's the main perk of subscribing - peace of mind. I know I'll always get a copy and it'll be as soon as possible.

Not sure how this part works. If the authorization run has not finished by Monday morning, will they still start shipping on Monday, or does shipping have to wait until the authorization run is finished?

Hello folks!
It seems like the auth is really attached to me as it has crashed shortly after I left both Wednesday and yesterday. I have it running again and am speaking to the tech team on what may be causing it to crash so much, so frequently.
We usually run the auth on Thursday and Friday, so we're not technically behind yet. Still on track to start shipping Monday or Tuesday. Captain Yesterday is correct. We will go through the subscription related emails and posts on Monday before we give the warehouse the ok to start shipping. For most months that means Monday in the late afternoon. But despite the crashes we are still on track for now.
We have Sam back today so I'm hoping we can make a lot more progress in the inbox.

Hi Diego,
I saw mention in another thread re: Lost Omens that The Lost Omens World Guide would be moved out of the side cart so that it didn't hold up subscriptions and orders. Is that still accurate?
Thanks,
Patrick

Diego,
I have 7 copies of The Lost Omens World Guide in my side cart. I ordered full sets of PF2 stuff for my gaming group and would like to have what is available be sent with my regular subscription order so that I don't have to wait to give them the core book etc. Can you please make sure that everything in my side cart minus the Lost Omens books ships with my subscriptions?
Additionally, one of those books is intended to be shipped out separately as part of a gift for another person. The gift order is #7892649.
Thanks for all the help!

Update:
The train rn out of tracks. So we all got out and are laying new rails. The auth hit a snag and the tech team is investigating. I will get it back up and running as soon as they give me the go ahead. If it doesn't finish today I will be coming in tomorrow and Sunday if necessary (hopefully not).

I think there are multiple wrinkles going on with my subscriptions and order right now. I spoke to Virginia earlier this week, but I don’t think all my issues are resolved.
These are my current subscriptions:
Pathfinder Adventure Path
Pathfinder Campaign Setting
Pathfinder Maps
Pathfinder Modules
Pathfinder Roleplaying Game
Pathfinder Accessories (not shown in "my subscriptions" currently, maybe because nothing from that subscription has been officially ordered yet?)
These things are currently in my sidecart:
S Pathfinder Core Rulebook
S Pathfinder GM Screen
S Pathfinder Character Sheet Pack
S Pathfinder Combat Pad
S Pathfinder Condition Card Deck
S Pathfinder Lost Omens World Guide
Although I have selected GenCon pickup, on the My Subscriptions page nothing appears in the "Gen Con Indy 2019 pickup" section.
I've seen it said that the Lost Omens World Guide being in a sidecart will interfere with items being processed properly, so I think that's one issue.
Additionally, no adventure path subscription or adventure (module) subscription products are anywhere to be found in my sidecart or any upcoming order block... specifically, I can't find the last Tyrant's grasp book, the first Age of Ashes book, or The Fall of Plaguestone. Oh, or the Fall of Plaguestone map.

Zhern,
All of the items in your sidecart that are ready to go should be pulled into the subscription order when it is generated. When we run an auth it looks in the sidecart and pulls everything that is ready into the order.
The gift book is also in your sidecart. I am moving it to its own order so it doesn't go with your subscriptions and instead goes to the address you had selected for it.

Thank you so much for the indepth reply! I've been able to calculate the shipping with your instructions, and yes - unfortunately, even the value of the PDFs doesn't outweigh the shipping for me. I'd already worked out that the price my LGS has it for works out to be the Hardcover converted to AUD + GST, so I'm happy to pick it up from there.

Only the starting items for new subscriptions will be in your sidecart until the GenCon pickup auth is run. That is different from the auth we are running now.
Oohhhhhhhhhh..... now I understand. Thanks, Diego, I really appreciate how hard you’re working to get everything working right and and answer all our questions.
