I am hopeful that 9-20 will already give us a chance to make my biggest wish come true.

I would like a check that all the various 'special boons' from scenarios actually saw some use.

Example:
To my (admittedly incomplete) knowledge, nothing ever happened with 3-24 Sendeli Foxglove's favor.

At least one more trip into The Kingdom of the Impossible!

My multi-table special suggestion still stands. Heck, for the PCVC tables, let 'em be 20.

Dark Archive 4/5

I just want a 1-20 Special, where we go Nova, against things that can also go Nova. A no hold's bared, Blasphemy, Holy Word, hell twisted angel raining fire for seven days onto Absalom, because hey that's an endurance test baby.

Yeah. Definitely going to need some True Rez action going on for it.

I am hoping for a trip into the Abyss to finally deal with Koth Vaul and who or what ever is behind it.

I would like to see a return and resolution of: Koth'Vaul, Valais, Aslynn, Zarta, Lander, Eutropia, the Emerald Sage, Drandle Dreng, and the Sun Orchid Elixir.

Koth'Vaul:
Canonically he's set loose in the Night March of Kalkamedes, he turns up in the Traitor's Lodge and that adventure ends with him still free and out there. Surely SOME factions in the PFS are unhappy with a full-fledged demon on the loose?
Valais:
The tragic character from the Traitor's Lodge has not, to my knowledge, returned anywhere.
Aslynn:
Foreshadowed several times, the season 7 plot culminating in Abducted In Aether states that she learned important secrets from Aram Zey, therefore she clearly is plotting for something that will potentially conflict with the Society's plans.
Zarta:
Of course I'm referring to the Infernal Inheritance.
Lander:
Yes, the arrogant noble from the Horn of Aroden. He's not a major player of course, but it would be nice to learn what has become of him.
Eutropia:
Several scenarios including Tomb of the Iron Medusa deal with the succession in Taldor. Does Eutropia finally end up on the throne? What happens here?
Emerald Sage:
Yes, of course I am talking about Grandmaster Torch. The man who started the Shadow Lodge well before anybody heard about it, is responsible for the events of Eyes Of The Ten as his lodge got out of hand, spends the next year manipulating the Pathfinders to get rid of his rival in the Shadow Lodge, disappears from some time, dodged the Red Mantis assassins, and finally walks away with a friggin' Sage Jewel. I'm impressed; that's trickery on the level of Littlefinger. We definitely need a scenario to follow up on that!
Drandle Dreng:
Everybody's favorite (ahem) venture captain is hinted to be more competent than he looks. What is his backstory, and what is he hiding? He's a fun character to see more of.
Sun Orchid Elixir:
Speculation suggests that Her Infernal Majestrix wants one, and clearly Razmir the Living God needs those regularly, and it's possible that at least one of the Decemvirate has his eyes on the elixir. Destiny of the Sands suggests that Grandmaster Torch might even want it to cure his condition. Anyway we've spent several scenarios preventing the elixir from getting stolen, or recovering it from theft, and so forth; it would be nice to learn WHO actually uses it.

Oh, and we haven't seen the Haojin Tapestry lately, nor Jormurdun. Those would be nice locations to return to at some point.

Koth'Vaul: I too would like to see this resolved. I would not be totally shocked if we do that during this season though.

Valais: you should check out Thralls of the Shattered God and Shores of Heaven.

Aslynn: I too want to see what important secrets she took from Aram Zey.

Lander: eh. I get the impression from his recent reappearance that he's gonna live happily ever after as a non-adventurer.

Eutropia: take a look at the War for the Crown AP.

Emerald Sage: I haven't played Salvation of the Sages yet, but it's part of what you're asking for.

Drandle Dreng: it's been a while since the Onyx Alliance reared its head.

Sun Orchid Elixir: might indeed be interesting to do a follow-up on The Immortal Conundrum.

Regarding the Haojin Tapestry, I thought that was effectively closed as a storyline with Serpent's Rise/Assault on Absalom.

5/5 **** Venture-Agent, Netherlands—Utrecht

Koth'Vaul:
Is Koth'Vaul actually featured in The Traitor's Lodge? He's never explicitly referenced in that scenario (it just mentions "a glabrezu," while in other scenarios he's always mentioned by name), and while it's a fun theory, I'd like to be sore of that before speculating further. He does feature in Assault on Absalom, though.

Kurald Galain wrote:

Edited because I can't remember scenarios clearly anymore. :-p

Haojin Tapestry:
The Aspis agents use a ritual to tear open the tapestry and allow their allies within to escape. Siege sees it from the side of pathfinders discovering the destroyed tapestry after the fact. I believe it's the same room where you find Aram Zey's corpse.

Sovereign Court 4/5 5/5 ** Venture-Lieutenant, Netherlands—Leiden

Hao Jin Tapestry:
This featured in Siege of Serpents/Serpents Rise; it has nothing to do with Assault on Absalom.

Koth'Vaul:
In the final encounter, there's a big magical circle on the floor that the demons are trying to use to summon reinforcements. If you passed a skill check you would be able to deduce the circle connects to Koth'Vaul HQ.

Koth'Vaul is the one who brought back Thurl, after he'd been ostensibly ended by the Pathfinders in Vengeance at Sundered Crag. What we didn't count on was that Thurl had made Wishes granted by Koth'Vaul.

Well it's a plot thread that should be resolved before the PCs who have any stake in it retire.

But I would really like it if her resolution also involves first getting a lot more scoop on her, because I really don't know all that much about her. So far she's been a bit of a peripheral antagonist, swooping in all of a sudden, shanking someone, and getting out.

Because this is one of the more fun and hopeful threads, I spent the better part of the morning pulling together all the things I'd like to see show up in the remaining time we have with PF1E/PFS1E.

Edit: Yes, I realize that several of these are repeats of other statements; I figured repeating them would serve as a +1 to that suggestion!

Hanging Plot Threads

  • Factional Plot Threads I'm rolling these up into one, but it seems like we have three major faction plots that are moving forward as we progress towards PF2; Liberty's Edge's leadership imbroglio, Sovereign Court's involvement with Taldor's interregnum, and Zarta's infernal inheritance. The first two seem like they'll be wrapped up by season's end, but I'd like to see the bulk of S9 and S10 devoted to wrapping up these and any other faction plot lines for the current factions so we can have a "clean slate" re: factions in PFS2E.
  • Koth'Vaul Feels like an appropriate high level (Seeker level? 20th level?) capstone for PF1E; he and Thurl could be a good set of Society-wide villains in S9 and S10 that wouldn't need a ton of screen time for explanation, allowing more scenario bandwidth to go to transitioning the faction plots to PF2.
  • The Onyx Alliance Maybe they belong on the second list (of callbacks) but the Alliance seemed to have their fingers in a lot of Aspis/Pathfinder/Blakros business circa Season 6-7, and they seem like a good low-level opponent who could link up with a higher level one, like Koth'Vaul, to go after the Society in the last year and a quarter of PFS1E.
  • Aslynn and 322 Though her "plot involvement" was ostensibly resolved in Abducted in Aether, Aslynn seems to have either a direct tie to or information about Koth'Vaul (S5-07 The Traitor's Lodge) and the Blakros family/Onyx Alliance (S7-09 The Blakros Connection). She's also a really interesting NPC, sort of a done-correctly version of Grandmaster Torch; her questionable ethics make working with her uncomfortable, but she's the only person who has what the Pathfinders need and her price for information isn't comically, overtly Evil even though you have strong reason to suspect she's going to do something that hurts others with it.

Also, I have two characters who are interested (for different reasons) in 322, and would appreciate if she made another appearance or two before the end of their adventuring careers.

Other Callbacks to Earlier Stuff

  • The Rest of the Serpents Rise/Ire NPCs We've seen a few of these NPCs (Zurnzal, 322, Joliryn, Marnarius) given either resolutions or long-running plot points; I think the remainder, particularly Rataji and Eramay, would be a good insight into how the actions of Serpents Fall and the Society's rapprochement with the Aspis plays out on the other side. This might also be a fun window into the state of the Consortium as PF2 kicks off. Some of this may be happening in the recent Bloodcove series of adventures, which I haven't had the chance to play.
  • King Xeros of Old Azlant This one might already be spoken for, but I want to +1 it because this should totally happen in PFS if it isn't already slated for SFS or an AP somewhere.
  • Lyrics of Extinction What happened to these? Could they show up as a mcguffin in a future scenario?
  • No Plunder, No Pay I'd like to see that boon for Jirandiel Waverider come back to haunt those who didn't finish the job. My own PC is long-since retired to Seeker play, but you could do something for that boon if any of the player's characters have the boon?
  • Shades of Ice II The sealed door in the dragon room - what's back there? Can we find out? Most of my Pathfinders are down for, "The most dangerous of monsters or artifacts," and the ones that aren't are interested in being paid by people who are!

So there's some groups that actually released Koth'Vaul from nightmarch? That seems unlikely. I mean the entire thing was a dull slog, but I don't think anyone would actually let the guy out.

Sorry to those who like it, but I don't even remember my play-through, and when I ran it they went over to the dragon, realized the illusion, and used a scroll of command undead on it. No save, just done. Only memorable encounter was the skunks.

Dark Archive 3/5 5/5

I also support the idea of level 20 content. I think there's just enough of a presence for such chatacters to participate in the top end of a multitable special, if not their own adventure. Defeating some incomprehensibly powerful hreat would be a great way to show off all of those endcaps we've worked so hard to achieve.

I could see it happening on an entirely different scale from even the 19th level stuff. Heck, maybe it involves the starstone?

Okay not really a spoiler but...:

What if it ended with your character impressing their patron diety so much that they were accepted as an associated demigod? Even better, give it a special chronicle that lets you choose your old character as a diety in PFS 2.0. To keep it balanced it could work as a sort of "archetype" for a standard diety, perhaps letting you swap out a single Domain (or equivalent aspect) with a bit of flavor as written by the player.)

5/5 **** Venture-Agent, Netherlands—Utrecht

Regarding that spoiler: That would be cool. Have some form of carryover from FE to SE, even if it's in a minor way.

Concerns:
I'm pretty confident they won't allow a noncanon deity into PFS2, but having a previous character mentioned or referenced somehow would be cool.

I can't really see how you could make one evergreen for all of them. If you look at Unleashing the Untouchable, it's a big scenario with lots of ties to previous ones, and deeply rooted in its specific location and theme.

Any "multiple evergreen" is going to be much more bland than that, and that's just a disservice to what should be an epic accomplishment.

I'd like to see a callback to Eyes of the Ten part III.

In similar vein, I'd like to see some follow-up on information that may have been acquired from a certain general in 07-00 about far away Azlanti colonies.

Also, since the whole 1.0 campaign is ending, I'd like to see First Steps II & III re-opened since the factions will have relatively little impact after S10 closes and would like to have the "removed, but edited for PaizoCon (or other Con) scenarios" opened up more as Paizo moves away from 1.0 (even if putting a star limit on them due to editing issues).

My foremost wish would be to see a level 19-20 capstone series written like Eyes was (multi-part with the expectation that at least one scenario will be more than a 4-hour slot) with an opportunity to actually play at 20th. I'd prefer this as something that does not require a large # of tables, particularly since with the death of 1.0 it's going to be VERY hard to get enough tables together at cons in the future to be able to play Race, the only current option to be able to get PCs to 20 so I would prefer there be an option that can be accomplished a bit more easily for those that won't have the ability to attend the cons with their groups.

There's a pit fiend lurking below a certain lake who is surely due for release
Return to Round Mountain, the Revenge of the Rats!
A trip to the King Xeros
Learn the fate of the fiend (where did that Lich go)
Release another elemental lord!
Gloomspires level 4 (7-11), finally we meet Sevenfingers, it would also make a great location for a seeker tier adventure

That said, there are a few other thingd Id like to see:

- a blackross museum scenario. We cant close the old campaign without a good oldfashioned romp in the museum. A chance to redeem Nigel would be the cherry on top.
- onyx alliance/ Drandle Dreng/sewer dragons. Nothing can go wrong with that right?
- Black waters/school of spirits. It needs a third scenario to close the story.
- something to put the silent tide to rest for good. We started with them. They recently came back as a serious threat. How can we not close with the villains we started with?
