As we've gotten news that Season 10 will be the last "Pathfinder 1st Edition" Season for Organized Play, it's gotten me wondering about what kinds of things I'd love to see in terms of story beats for the season. I'm not certain how far things are in development, but I imagine it may still be helpful for John, Linda, etc. to hear as things get finalized.

So, to start...(and if there IS a scenario that already does one of these, point me at it!)

  • Sequel to King Xeros of Old Azlant. Pretty self explanatory. But I'm even more eager for this as I realized today this ship could easily have been a very early incarnation of the Drift Drive (uses another plane to travel through space!).

  • Zarta Gets Her Comeuppance. We saw some of this in Faithless & Forgotten, but I'd really love to see her start to really begin moving & shaking around those revelations.

  • Serpents Trilogy We've already got Rise & Ire. Why not a third part to round things out, close up some of those NPC stories, etc. Maybe even reference <redacted>, which might have changed the Consortium's view on the Society.

This is a good thread. We already have several big plans for Season 10, but we're interested in revisiting some loose threads overall. More ideas are welcome.

Personally, I'd love to see more action with the Elemental Lords. There are 3 more of those puppies locked away and if we get them quick enough maybe they can be core or first "Gods Book" viable.

I would like to see an Aspis-Pathfinder team up against an impending extra planar threat of epic proportions. Perhaps even a multi-table event as it is a bucket list wish. :)

Is the destruction of the Blackros Museum too much to ask for? Can we turn it into a pile of slag?

All I ask is that if you do, it is a 7-11 so I can be there. This would top my bucket list.

However, I would want to get Cousin Nigel out first. The poor guy needs a chance to do something else with his life.

Something to finally vindicate Torch and justify his sometimes shady actions.

7-11 games full of big wide-open maps but not a lot of in-game hours.

A seeker game where you team up with Ranginori to investigate the Eye of Abendego.

Actually cure VC Kyalla.

Something with VC Retief VanSchuyver

Something with Ledford.

Something with a Rakshasa as the main villain.

4-04 Says there's a society presence in Xin-Shalast. There should be a game about that.

I second that Zarta needs to do something big with the info learned in season 7.

Going by the years, season 13 should have another Ruby Phoenix tournament...

A discussion on this very thing with a friend is part of what sparked my idea for this post! I'd love to see the Concordance do big things this next season. Maybe we get to catch up with the pregens we got to play in the "prequel" scenario to the faction's rise?

Every 10 years, so something to think about for season 3 of the new game. I hope they can think of another prize that can drive as many stories as the Hao Jin Tapestry.

Seeker level play for the last Special for Pathfinder 1e.

Not just Seeker content, but 1 last scenario that is sanctioned at 19th level. A run to 20th level is fun and giving another path to do that could go a ways towards breathing on going life into the 1E campaign for awhile.

I wouldn't complain if ya'll wanted the last special to be a whose-who of the first 10 years of Society play. Even memorable but minor characters like Hats, Kalkemedes and Lander (Horn of Aroden).

Unsealing at least one more Elemental Lord is a must, if not just recovering their gem(s).

I would like another appearance by at least one confirmed member of the Decemverite, acting as a member of their station, in a special, multi-table or seeker game.

The Red Mantis haven't really done much recently.

One more scenario with a named kitsune NPC? I think it's the only non-boon race in PFS scenarios to only have one named NPC.

It would also be keen to take a trip to Minkai. I think Jade Regeant was the only time we've seen it?

I'd also request more Quipport stuff, but I just prepped...well that's spoilers isn't it?

Seeker level play for the last Special for Pathfinder 1e.

It would be really nice and a good full circle. I started this with my -1, have done both seeker arcs with him, etc. It would be fitting to end it with him and look forward to new beginnings.

I want to second the votes for:
More Blakros Museum stuff(Dark Tapestry oriented for bonus points)
Freeing another Elemental Lord(the Concordance should want ONE more good aligned Lord for balance)
Another adventure in Sevenfinger's Tomb(assuming we don't conclude that THIS season...maybe...please)
Zarta's comeuppance
A Special with Seeker level tiers

I would like to add an adventure in Shadow Absalom possibly something to do with the Onyx Alliance

I second the Onyx Alliance.
An adventure where Nigel really redeems himself. I like the guy, and he's been reduced to a running gag by now. Let him give vital plot information, actually help out, or give him a dramatic arc that really redeems him in the Society's eyes.
As a real blast from the past, I'd like to see Caradoc Alazario (No Plunder, No Pay) make a glorious return. I always envisioned him as a mad Jack Sparrow-type character and I had fun RPing him. Also, as an extension, Jirandiel Waverider. There's still a boon on that sheet, and her finally getting her revenge would be fun.
Janira, from Confirmation fame, should make a return somehow.

Also, I made this thread a while ago, a peek in there might help.

Off the top of my head...

- Zarta's Inheritance.
- The final 7-11 part of the Gloomspires. Or maybe even a 7-11 part followed by a Seeker-level confrontation with whatever now dwells in Sevengfingers' tomb.
- Finding out what Aslynn wanted Aram Zey for.
- Showdown with the gang of four: Koth'Vaul, Thurl, Pasha, Torch. I would like the chance to wrap this up with the characters that went on adventures about these people.

I am a bastard Blakros daughter who has been going through every Blakros adventure that I can. Along the way, I have discovered several things. First, I don’t need the Blakros name even though that was what my character initially desperately wanted to earn.

Two... I want to help Nigel help himself. My cousin is in over his head, and I want to help him bust out and be a real Pathfinder again.

I only found out yesterday that PFS was ending, and I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I have SO many characters. I guess, for me, the priority would be to give as many of them as possible a chance at retirement.

So while all of the suggestions above are great, I just want higher level content to be the focus for the Season. A Seeker Level Special, even if it's just 1-15. Maybe another 12-15 scenario. Lots of 7-11s.

And where do I find this information about Pathfinder 2.0? I read about the Playtest. Someone told me yesterday there's an interview or video somewhere?

HA!

Won't lie, the Onyx Alliance/Blakros stuff is one of the first story arcs I really fell into while doing stuff for Paizo. One of my first memories, from the same PaizoCon as that image, was conspiring with Mark Moreland about all our crazy plans for how that story would pay off. So many years later, and there's still a LOT to be revealed. Some of which, may or may not be showing up in some upcoming products! :)

That's what I'm not sure how I feel about.

Tentatively, I'll probably just focus on retiring a handful of my favorite characters. Mostly my 10s and 11s.

The rest will be relegated to a digital graveyard.

Because there isn't enough time in the world to keep playing PFS 1.0, keep playing SFS, playtest Pathfinder 2.0, and dive into PFS 2.0

I'm excited for Pathfinder 2.0. I suppose the PFS characters that I can't continue playing could always be "reborn" into PFS 2.0

So, semi-complaints mixed with grief and excitement sprinkled with acceptance and optimism ^_^

Tier 7-11 replayable with three paths that each lead to freeing one of the remaining sealed Elemental Lords?

(Well, I can dream, right?)

I have also been looking forward to a King Xeros followup, although I have to admit I'm more expecting to see it in a Starfinder scenario. That would be one incredible map to see redone in the modern Society mapping style.

Except that the story we've been telling with our characters is ending. So if you've been waiting to kill grandmaster torch with your shadowlodge character or destroy the blackros museum after your mists of mawangi experience with a character you lose that option in 2e.

Some characters can't just be rebooted in the new system. My skulk of kitsune for example (especially the foxform bundle of adorable death). Flutter's unlikely to work mechanically in the new system.

Silver Crusade 1/5 Contributor

PFS isn't ending. But I think it feels like existing characters' stories (within it) are. For those with a personal goal or metaplot, that can definitely be a big deal.

I only have one character like that. And thanks to Leadership listening to feedback and making adjustments, she'll get to stay a Scarab Sage and experience the story I made her for.

Her story will finish someday. But I can empathize with those who maybe don't feel like they have that to look forward to.

In this world death is only a financial condition.

I'd like to see a big scenario with the Deckland family. They've been teased a few times, and they're directly involved in the plot only in one scenario (1-55). Even though they might just be an in-joke among writers, I'd like to see that recurring theme being paid off somehow.

They have something to do with one of the existing season 9 7-11 scenarios.

4/5

I second Nefreet's suggestion of having plenty of higher tier adventures so that people can see their existing creations level into the versions they were first envisioned to be. Maybe even a replayable 5-9 to help cover that ground?

In terms of plot, it still want to see Chrysalis Black return (4-03 Golemworks Incident). Few other villains had such a guaranteed escape plan.

Dark Archive 4/5 5/5 *

I would like another seeker arc (for mostly retirement) would like another ending story for a character before we tidy things up and move over in a way that one scenario in a season has been tough to do.
