They apparently need everyone to physically be in one place at the same time to decide these things,
If this is true in this day and age then their process needs to change.
Telecommuting is a thing. Has been for quite awhile. There are lots of tools now to make it quite efficient.
Put me into the group that has decided to NEVER AGAIN buy another paizo product until after it is in additional resources. Which, of course, translates directly to delayed and reduced revenues (reduced since as time passes I'll sometimes decide I want the new shiney and not the one from a month ago)

One of the biggest barriers in getting Additional Resources updated is getting the team together to discuss publications and what is right for inclusion in our Organized Play programs. The holidays play havoc with scheduling, but now that things are a bit settled, we hope to have an update soon.

I don't read it as saying they strictly have to be physically in a room. Maybe it's just getting everyone in a meeting at the same time, tele or otherwise.
Some of the work is farmed out to venture critters (I'm not in that particular group) and they don't have to physically convene. As far as I can tell we're from all over.
Speaking for myself, I have been holding off purchases until I know more. And I do wonder if in the light of holiday sales, Additional Resources updates shouldn't be a bit higher priority.
Then again, last month it apparently was a choice between releasing scenarios on time and updating AR on time. AR late is a much lesser evil than delaying scenarios and screwing up Con schedules.

Paths of the Righteous and Blood of the Beast are amazing. I recommend that people who are on the fence about getting them go for it. For now though, we can play our evil characters to get it out of our systems before we have to play good in order to qualify for the new prestige classes.
Is there anything good in the book besides prestige classes?

I kid you not another variation of Deana's Shooting Star that should make it. Wisdom for ranged attack rolls for Erastil worshipers. Glaive weilding swashbucklers. A spell smiting ability for paladin. Feats that pick up the dead spellcasters progression for all prestige classes. There is a feat for any of the classes that rolls with panache/inspiration but I forgot what it does. Milano worshipers get a special version of her favored weapon.

Yeah, all of those things are wonderful, especially the glaive feat. Plus there are some beautiful character drawings.

PFS legality is my biggest decision for purchase. I like to buy cool things that PFS allows, thinking that one day I'll use it in there. But if there's not much PFS legal in it that's cool then I wont get it.
Like right now path's of righteousness. A lot of the prestige classes and feats seem cool and interesting. Prestigious spellcaster is a game changer for PrC. But no clue if it'll be legal so I'm holding off getting excited about it, while a friend has now mapped out like 2 PFS characters using PrC from the book and planning on using this feat. If it's not legalized then some of he recent choices aren't so good.
And this sale really does make us buyers want clarification sooner to take advantage of the sale.
Same here. Paths for Righteousness & Blood of the Beast look amazing, but I won't buy either until I know how much of each book will be legal for PFS.

For the record, I was on 5 of the product review teams, two as team lead. We would star review before the book hit the street with the goal to have it done prior to release. My 5 teams met that goal.
Since I took over as guide revision team lead, I'm unaware how the goals were set. Since I resigned as a VO, I have no idea the procedure.

The current product review groups have been very helpful; we've just had a tough confluence of people out on holiday, people out following unanticipated yet utterly justified leaves of absence when Life Happens, and helping backstop colleagues on other projects to ensure the companies myriad products ship in a timely fashion. Those are things that no amount of teleconferencing can bridge.
What's important is that the team is back together now, has reviewed and written up a huge portion of the backlog, and is moving toward its imminent publication.

It's a really great book, I have similar feelings regarding a lot of the material and I am also hoping that a number of things become legal. As a GM I am also dreading what terrible things the local "usual suspects" will be able to do with the innocent new material ^^ .. and I might have to explain a number of things that might some players might not be aware of.
The art really is amazing though, I particularly like the illustrations on page 6 and 14 and would like to see those artists featured in future products.

You manage to pull Tonya for a CON? No meeting that week. Next week John goes to a CON, no meeting. Week after it's thanksgiving, no meeting. Then someone is sick, out for a birthday, can't get to work because of weather. No meeting.
Then when there is a meeting, it's about priority. Since we haven't met for a month we need to discuss X... and get decision on those, if time is left over then we can get to additional resources. These are considerations, yes, and in any creative working environment they do exist and deserve their fair weight.
Can't even remember the last time we were able to have a full store meeting at my retail work location because of payroll cuts and scheduling...
Unfortunately, if the vetting process costs sales, then it reduces the resources that a given company has to increase sales, and if it is done too late, will either kill support for a product/product line or severely curtail it.
If the vetting process has been 'farmed out' to Venture folks, that could cause one of two things to happen... A. Much like the regular forums a few items have probably descended into battle lines of opposing schools of thought OR B. Much like the PDT, the ability to coordinate an even GREATER number of people is leading to even more gridlock.
From what I understand about the process, the guys in charge of product review just give recommendations and mention when new feat/class/item etc. interacts in certain ways with already legal options. It's just supposed to make the job of the PFS team easier and raise some red flags when something is dangerously unclear or could cause unintended consequences.

I think part of the problem is the backlog is pretty big. I've been going through Curse of the Crimson Throne and only now just realized there is no Additional Resources for it despite the weird convergence of rules that would be fun to use in Pathfinder Society.

Almost certainly a reference to using Slashing Grace while dual-wielding sawtooth sabres. Impossible post-errata, but made newly accessible with Villain Codex. ^_^

You have my attention, tell me more about this Villain Codex] feature that enables this. Perhaps I should be buying that book.

Best to have a look before getting your expectations too high. ^_^
You can fight using agility instead of brute strength, even while fighting with two weapons.
Prerequisites: Dex 15; Fencing Grace, Slashing Grace, or Starry Grace; Two-Weapon Fighting; Weapon Finesse.
Benefit: You can gain the benefit of the Fencing Grace, Slashing Grace, or Starry Grace feats while fighting with two weapons. Your penalties from two-weapon fighting increase by 2 on all attack rolls you make when doing so, and you can’t decrease the penalties to less than –2 even if other abilities would reduce the penalties further. Add 1/2 your Dexterity bonus to damage with your off-hand weapon instead of 1/2 your Strength modifier. If you attack without using your off-hand weapon, you can use the aforementioned feats despite your other hand being occupied.
In addition, Two-Weapon Grace counts as Double Slice for the purposes of qualifying for the Two-Weapon Rend feat.
Normal: You gain no benefit from the listed feats if you don’t have a free hand.

So I know it's been commented that this is being worked on along with lots of other stuff, and you're doing the best you can. I'm cool with that. I'm just curious if I should hold out any hope that it'll happen before the end of the month. Is there any chance it'll be done and out before the end of the month?

Updates should be appearing on the website any day now. We submitted all of the November and December updates (update imminent), and almost immediately began discussions and updates for the January products (appearing in the next update).

Aw, I was hoping Healer's Handbook made it in after the wait. Here's hoping January update follows quickly.
We elected to perform a sizeable update sooner (relatively speaking) rather than delaying any update longer in expectation of adding another month's material in one comprehensive update.

Right decision :-)
