I've always wanted one of my threads to be necromancied. Will someone ignore this thread, then later (by weeks or months), once it's forgotten, post on it again?

Dotting for later. See you soon.

What if we kept this thread alive for years as though as it were about succubi on a grapple?

We could turn it into the daily weather thread. Each poster giving the temp, precip, etc. stats for their region.

I'd say the thread was dead. Sooner than expected perhaps, but dead all the same.

Since it was revived, while it's still here at the top, just wanted to say: And so begins the online version of the "Quiet Game".

...this thread is scarily leaning towards lichdom (which in the necromancy metaphor, is when a person necromancies their own thread- performing necromancy on the self).

GT didn't do it personally... but acted in a way to insure this thread got necromancied...

I just want to say congratulations to GozrehTime. By all accounts, that was a necro.

Sorry, sorry. We're not all professional necromancers, you know.

Is it time now?

Also, it is currently sunny and 88*F

I'm not sure I've ever seen a thread that was alive against it's will and intent before.

What ever happened to death with dignity, folks? It's inhuman to prolong the suffering of this poor thread.

Weather is terrible here. Also, thread necromancy is a horrible sin against nature.

It is 20 C, light rain, with a 20% chance of skeletons.

Thread necromancy is an evil-aligned act and 2-3 of those are enough to cause an alignment shift.

Not to quibble, but I think the correct term is "necromanced." You know, like a necromance novel. Or necromantic comedy.

Those two forms of entertainment are my favorite.

Was it perhaps "necromancification"?

Don't you hate it when liches condescendingly tell you simple things they assume you don't know just because you're living? You know--necromansplaining...

Does that make the lich's lair a necromancave?

I bet they go down there to watch their favorite movie: Zombie Kathleen Turner in "Necromancing The Stone".

I want a necromantic comedy, but whenever I bring it up, people just talk about zombies and vampires. Like, maybe I want a comedy about a necromancer romancer, or a necromancer vs. a romancer. Undead are just byproducts!

Yeah, I loved those old Mills & Bone novels. Had some really good Phantasms in back in the day ... *cough*

Don't forget the sequel involving the phylactery of a lich who refuses to accept his undead state: The Jewel of Denial.

Depends on how much biting you're into ;)

I've always found the best ones to be the ones where they go on necroad trips.

He's an eternal undead abomination committed to destroying all knowledge of his path to lichdom and she's a small occult bookstore/bakery owner with the last copy of the Necronomicon and great muffins. When they first meet, they hate each other. Despite himself, his unbeating heart finds the ability to love again and as much as she hates his rotten business practices (and flesh), she can't help but fall for the exciting bad boy, especially compared to her staid boring fiance who flosses regularly. Coming this December.

All I need is a title...

What happens, though, if we keep posting once every couple of weeks? The tread has to die before it's necro'd.
