What's in a name? (Help me come up with a name for my sword please.)

So my DM is running a fun prequel session for each player leading up to our Kingmaker campaign and my Swordlord Aspirant managed to win a duel against a few guards of an important Swordlord on technicality.

Long story short she ended up with a magical charm from a close friend that made her already somewhat odd Aldori Sword even more different, to the point of the fact that the GM says it needs to be named because it is a purely unique weapon on the face of Golarion.

Its a Masterwork Sawbacked Aldori Dueling Sword that has the Disarm feature. In addition, the magic charm causes it to deal 1 Sonic Damage with every hit and on a natural 20 attack roll i get a free disarm attempt against the target of the attack. The Sonic effect is only going to increase in strength over time and the weapon is eventually going to become a mythic artifact.

Hmmm, what about Whisper, considering its current weak sonic effect and how it is essentially a Finesse weapon?

If you're going to use it to do a lot of disarming I'd go with Chuck, otherwise Lula for being mythic.

That's a good idea!

You could also call it "Шепот" or "Shepot," both of which are the Russian word for "Whisper," since Brevoy is a cross between Westeros and Medieval Russia.

Echo, the Blade of Reverberation.

I like "Ring" - as a weak sonic effect and the concept that you have "rings" of engagement, and "ring" others by getting them to underestimate your skill, "ring" as in the circular motion most common to deflection (and, perhaps, disarmament, though I'm uncertain), and "ring" as in a circus act - which dueling is often a spectacle to behold, and you can make your opponents into metaphorical clowns.

I like the other names, too, though. :)

Weirding Blade - Nice nod to Dune
El-rad (or some variation) - A play on LRAD sound cannons used for crowd control
Noisy Cricket - Couldn't help but toss a MiB reference in.
Siren's Cry/Call - Nod to Siren mythos
Calliope - Could also work well with the right secondary, she was the muse of Epic poetry.

It's a Finnese weapon yes? Implying it has speed to it-
Allegro
Cadence
Cadenza
Calypso
Tempo
- all have a meaning of speed, albeit more of a musical touch.

You could also use more basic secondaries-
scream
howl
whisper
cry
call
shout
moan
roar
shriek
thunder

"Fat Lady" because it's all over after she sings.

I suggest something representing the end of silence.

Calm-bane

Quietsend

Peace-bane

Or something expanding on the ring idea mentioned above or sing

Thundring

Heartringear

Bladeringer

Or

Blade-singer

Heart-singer

What is your characters name? No reason for the sword to have a better name than the PC.

No!
A great sword name for Bob of the BeerBelly's is a waste of time. And if you were able to come up with a cool PC name then the same process should let you come up with a name for the sword.

War Cry

Foeshatter

Honor's Echo

Roaring Blade

Fencing terms:
Bellguard

Reprise

But I think you've got some pretty good options from the other posters.

Caesura, a word for the jarring break in a line of perfect verse.

or more fully, "The possibility that the sword has two names is explained by another contributor. One drawing name and one sheathing name. Saicere is its drawing name and Caesura its sheathing name.

I drew it from its sheath. The faint ring of leather and metal seemed to whisper of its name: Saicere [...] I slid it back into its sheath and the sound was different. It sounded like the breaking of a line. It said Caesura."

I really like this. Maybe Whisper for short, but something like Swift Whisper or Final Whisper more formally.

To play off Hazrond and Gisher, why not pick a basic starting name and have it evolve over time as the weapon becomes more grand?

The faint Whisper
The lingering Whisper
The Resounding Whisper
The Last Whisper
The Roaring Whisper
The Deafening Whisper.

Oddly, disco swords have been outlawed, well, pretty much everywhere.
