I don't want people breaking their anonymity with this, but I am putting this up now so that when voting starts, people can post their guilty pleasures as they appear in the voting. These are the items that, even though they are obvious Spells in a Can, Swiss Army Knives, Joke Items, Gore Fests, or whatever, are so cute you just have to upvote them anyway.

I like item's that fill highly specialized roles or perform hyper specific tasks no one would ever need done.
They're often pointless and no one would ever use them... but they're creative and spirited and fun for those Dm's who like to make it hard on their player's to find uses for their magical loot.

I like items that are useful to smaller groups.
The ability to be used by Multiple Classes are a Plus..The Ability to give a Class Ability to anyone is a big plus.
I hope someone is collecting the items...Because the way the vote Works I may never get to see some of the items ever.
I should have thought and cut and pasted some of the items I liked best somewhere.

Yeah, this is generally a big No No. If your item lets you steal the class ability of another class, I'll vote you down nearly every time. That is not superstar and an item should never make another member of the party less useful or unique.

Agnar's not annoyingly eccentric. He's just...rustic. Now I have a chaos-touched bard/sorcerer from another campaign that could use it...or a gnome conjurer that would fit the bill perfectly.

Or, when you were young and impressionable, you were exposed to the optimum levels of Devo, Indiana Jones, and Castlevania.
Nah, my answer is too dull. Listen to the succubus instead.

Items that don't really help an adventurer, but would be really useful to some profession in a fantasy setting. They won't win, but I'll vote for them.
Same here. I'm a sucker for things that would definitely exist in a world like Golarion due to sheer everyday usefulness, but that no one has created yet.

I like to call those kinds of things, "Treasure Horde Items".
Adventures might not use this item that's perfect for making clothing and just clothing, but I'm pretty sure just about any cloth-worker out there will give a life-savings for it.
And yes, I will definitely vote for ones that are well written.

I like specific and lateral-thinking items. Things that would be made by a particular spellcaster and not sold as a regular item anywhere. We already know the regular stuff, and the dark, gruesome stuff is supposedly for the "other guys". But you, weirdo in the corner, are my baby.
And nobody puts weirdo in the corner...
(I also love classic -and I mean CLASSIC: pre-Tolkien stuff- items given a new spin)

Things like enchanted teapots, candlesticks and brooms?
My guilty pleasure is probably always downvoting pro-undead items. I can't help it, my (game)worldview doesn't allow for undead to be a player option/resource. Anti-undead items, if done well, probably have a higher chance of upvotes from me.

I'm getting kind of sick of anti-undead. Especially ghostbusters.

I'm a sucker for quirky, underpowered simplicity.
I hate the pro-undead items as well. Almost always a down vote (almost!). I've had bad experiences with gamers that attempt to wreck campaigns with the pro-undead stuff.
Now, if it a cursed item, that's more workable but RPGSS doesn't want cursed items.

I tend to agree, pro-undead items sound awesome on paper but tend to be game breaking at the table.
You can still have items with drawbacks though... like if I was going to have a pro-undead item I would give it a chance for them to turn on you or something...magic items need not be all powerful...drawbacks done right make things more fun
