Alsokar liked his new body. It was younger than his last one. He agreed to travel with Trevor for the time being, until he decided what to do with himself. Fortunately, he remembered all of his spells and fighting stances. He feared he would have to start over. He showed Trevor where the nearest tavern was.

While at the bar Trevor showed him what he had so far. He told him the days of the week, and then showed him the calendar so far:

Month, Season, Sign
Farael....Spring...Fish
No Name...Spring...Turtle
No Name...Spring...Toad
No Name...Summer...Phoenix
No Name...Summer...Dragon
No Name...Summer...Serpent
No Name...Fall.....Horse
No Name...Fall.....Lion
No Name...Fall.....Mouse
No Name...Winter...Ram
No Name...Winter...Bear
No Name...Winter...Wolf

"Are you sure about those star signs? I know my people have different names for the constellations here," Alsokar said.

"No, I am not sure about them, but I included them anyway. I can expect differences of opinion. However, I am asking the gods, goddesses, and other powerful people to contribute their names to the calendar."

"Aren't you a god?" Alsokar asked. "How about you name a month after yourself?"

"Me? Oh no, I am not worthy. I am just a minor god at best."

"I think you are worthy, considering all that you have done. As far as traveling goes, your name should go to the Horse month. How about it?"

Alsokar then took Trevor's quill pen and added his name to the calendar. It looked like this now:

Month, Season, Sign
Farael....Spring...Fish
No Name...Spring...Turtle
No Name...Spring...Toad
No Name...Summer...Phoenix
Jormungand...Summer...Dragon
No Name...Summer...Serpent
Trevor....Fall.....Horse
No Name...Fall.....Lion
No Name...Fall.....Mouse
No Name...Winter...Ram
No Name...Winter...Bear
No Name...Winter...Wolf

"There, that was fun. I have never named a month before," Alsokar said laughing...

Alsokar and Trevor were still at the Taurus Tavern in New Primeva drinking Aquarian Ale.

"I have got it! The month of the Dragon. Let us name it after Jormungand He fought with me at the Battle of Lighton. I know he would not mind."

"Now that is a good idea," Trevor said. "More ale!" They drank more ale.

Josephine and Merlyn arrived at the Western Edge. The barrier of light that Merlyn erected long ago was barely visible, cracked, flawed and diminished. The absence of Gods had obviously weakened it's power. However, past the barrier people had begun to settle again. Fields of crops, grass, and orchards had sprung up, making the area much more hospitable.

"Give me a moment Merlyn, I shall call to Esil'Dar."

Josephine sat on the ground, just as she had done months before.

"Esil'Dar, Friend of the Avatar of Sand! I call to you now, not for guidance, but advice! Please, my friend, Come!"

All they could do now is wait...

After several more ales, Trevor looked back at his list.

"Hmmmmmmm. Maybe Hutan should be the name of the Lion month. He created hunting, and I see lions as hunters."

"Yes, do it!" Alsokar said. He asked the barkeeper for two more ales. Trevor added Hutan's name....

"I will definately include Hadesween in there. Probably during the month of Dogon."

He then ordered a Darkfire Vodka.

Paizo and his pirates boldly sailed into the port city of Aquarius on his new ship named The Blue Mermaid. The pirates with swords drawn ran off the plank into the city, and they stole 40 jugs of Aquarian Ale. They also took food and other personal items before running back onto the ship and sailing out. One of the pirates knew some wind spells, so the ship left the port quickly.

"Well done pirates," Paizo said as they sailed away. "We scared the fight out of them! They just...let us take their loot. We are all going to be rich one day, just as soon as I figure out what they use for money."

The Aquarians were confused. In their city everything is shared. They had no concept of stealing. The pirates could have just asked for the items they took and they would have given it to them. They decided to go to the Aqua Buddha to seek his wisdom...

From the Sun came the Sun God, Ralos. The Creator named the nearest star the "Sun", and since the creation it has shined light on the world of Beriya, but only now it take a humanoid form. The Sun named him Ralos.

In about eight minutes he flew from the Sun to Beriya, and then the first city he visited was New Primeva. He made sure that his fiery form would not harm any of the people or creatures. The Primevans saw Ralos and bowed down to him. That pleased him. He decided to walk among the people to learn their ways. He saw a building that looked interesting to him.

It had the words "Taurus Tavern" written on it, and the horns of a beast painted on it. He opened the door and stepped inside.

Trevor took one look at Ralos, and he knew what he was. He invited him to sit by him at the, bar, because Alsokar had passed out and he was asleep under the bar.

"Welcome, Sun God! I will name one of the Summer months after you."

"I thank you. I knew you were working on a calendar, because the Sun sees all."

"Would you like a drink?" Trevor asked. "The Darkfire Vodka is very good."

A raven flew into the tavern and landed on Trevor's right shoulder.

"Trevor, this is Nevara. I really think the last month should be named after me, and the animal should be changed to a raven. The stars can look like anything. The last month should represent endings, don't you agree? I will give the barkeeper a jewel to cover the drinks, because you probably don't have any wealth."

The raven threw up the jewel onto the bar and flew away.

Far off in the Northeast of Primeva was the Thanedom of Valorin. In the First Age Hutan roamed around the world hunting, and wherever he went he brought Humans with him. When he was done hunting he would go away, leaving those Humans behind. In the cold Northeast a tribe of hunters quickly adapted to their new home.

In time mighty warriors called Jarls led the tribes and they fought each other. They united when ice giants, trolls, and other creatures attacked them. One of the Jarls was called Valor, and he could not be defeated in combat. He challenged all of the other Jarls to battle and he won.

The people declared him their Thane, and he ruled them with justice. His people named their land Valorin after him. He was filled with divine blood. Wherever Valor went his giant, white wolf Wokar went with him. He looked south to the rest of Primeva and knew his people could no longer ignore them.

If Trevor was a normal human he would be dead from the amount of alcohol he drank all day and night. However, the Common Calendar was finally finished. The Sun God Ralos was completely unaffected by the 24 Darkfire Vodkas he drank. He flew away to see more of Beriya.

Trevor wrote down the Common Calendar on a single, long scroll and he began to pass it out to everyone he saw. Using a Duplication spell he had all of the copies he needed. He was still drunk, but not too drunk to walk, smile, and pass out scrolls. He completely forgot Alsokar, who was still passed out in the Taurus Tavern.

Hearing his old friend's voice, Grodd immediately looked around but soon realised that the contact had been made through godly telepathy. Concentrating his energy, Grodd sent a reply via a mystic ritual:

"Farael, it is good to hear your voice again. As for my location, I am in the magical place that is said to be where the fey originally came from - The First World, as many believe that this world was created before the others (hence the name) - and it is truly wonderful! On a different topic, I hope you will be able to help me with something. After the fight with Nevara's clone, I soon died and arrived at Pharasma's Boneyard. But as the goddess herself approached me, I screamed and immediately found myself here. I do not understand it. Why did my soul travel to the boneyard instead of this 'hall' that you speak of to receive judgement and why am I now dwelling with the fey? I cannot possibly hope to answer these questions without you, so please contact me as soon as you can!"

With that, Grodd ended the ritual and decided to rest in the forest. As he slept, Grodd's whole being slowly began to change as he started to become more and more fey (not that the ape deity minded, at this point he was accepting of just about anything).

Farael arrived at the First World to find Grodd, who was indeed becoming more Feylike.

"Grodd, is this what you want? Do you want to become Fey? I have decided to change things in the Hall of Souls. I have called 12 divine Judges to decide the fates of the dead. Its too much for one person. Let's go back to Beriya where we can be of some use."

Deep within Mt. Dogon, Mistress Destra was in the Temple of Dogon. She sat on his stone throne in front of his statue. She had become, when he left Beriya, the High Priestess of his faith. Here she plotted the destruction of various parts of the world.

Suddenly, a giant head crashed through the stone wall. It was the Destroyer Head, her "brother"; Dogon had made both of them. She noticed strange, spider-like legs growing out of his head, allowing him to walk.

"Sister, thank Dogon I found you!" He said. His mouth still worked.

"What do you want, brother?

"I want to stay with you," he said. "I have no where else to go!"

With that, Grodd and Farael departed from the First World and headed for Beriya.

(( Pretty busy lately, sorry if I'm not quite as active as I once was.

After several minutes, the Archdruid seemed to appear from the woods at a terrible speed, leaving behind a blurred image of himself until finally his form abruptly stopped no more than a few steps in front of them. This art is known as Leywalking among the elves, but most of the other races which had seen an elf perform this mystical feat tend to call it the Elven Path and it was indeed a rather complicated part of Druidism.

Esil'dar seemed to create no air as he stopped, as if he was all but immaterial while moving along the Elven Path. Smiling, he nodded to Merlyn with an apologetic fondness, but said no more, for both parties understood where they stood and no words need be said. He turned to Josephine, letting out a puff of smoke. "Here I am, Josephine. Your voice sounded somewhat troubled and I see you've brought our mutual friend with you. What's the matter?"

Stagbrow has become considerably more frail in his form, yet the once mighty muscles of the elf's frame where not completely gone. He wore no more than old tatters for clothes, walking among the frozen tundra alone; surviving on raw meat and hunting with his bare hands.

As the Avatar appeared, the man seemed only to growl at him much as an animal would, but soon enough he seemed to become somewhat pacified. He spoke as you would expect from a man who has not spoken a word to anyone in a little over 20 years, awkwardly and slowly. "I... Am... Listening..."

The Archdruids seemed confused at the presence of such a large statue within their forests, but decided that they would simply observe it for now, from a safe distance. Those of the low elves who came to pray to the tree would be led away from the statue by a Druid guide, while those of the High Elves and the druid-taught low elves simply walked upon the World Tree's bark up and down, as if gravity had shifted to somewhere within the tree for them. They seemed in no immediate danger as their city lay far above the statue.

-Unrelated information-

Apprentices and Druids-in-training recruited from the Low Elves are forced to climb until they were apt enough to walk upon the tree. None of those who passed by them paid any mind to them or laughed at them. The High Elves were a folk who, while highly magical beings, chose never to act upon this or display it. In a way, they were benevolent tyrants for their less magical brethren who lived upon the ground of the forest, upon a treetop city.

------------------------------

The Archdruids labored to erect a magical barrier around their forest, preventing things from simply entering their forest uninvited through magical means, unless allowed. Slowly, one by one, rhinestones appeared in a circle around the forest, hidden among the trees.

Farael is able to open a portal to Beriya, and they step through. They were on a grassy plain near New Primeva. Of course, Farael needed a body. His original one was destroyed. Nearby he finds a dead Primeva. Apparently he died from casting a highly powerful spell. He quickly entered the body and then healed any damage. He looked like a middle aged Primevan man wearing purple robes.

"So Grodd, how do I look? Fairly normal?"

"Stagbrow, I can give you a bond to nature again. Not like what you had. You will be forever changed. Death is a part of life, just as life is a part of death. I shall connect you to the darker side of nature, that you may see the world you live in from the other side of the looking glass. All of your strength, your knowledge, your power shall return to you. My brother, when he took your bond, also made you immune to the help of other archdruids, other paragons of nature, but this immunity also extends to their methods of harming you, of hindering you. You shall become a Druid of Death, a paragon of the darker side of the coin, and above all, you shall have the power to kill he who is most hateful to you."

At this, the Avatar of Death smiled.

"Merlyn..."

Esil'dar's smile faded as Merlyn expressed his frustration to his behaviour, despite the rather honest gesture he had given the old man, hoping that he understood.

He turned fully to the wizard and gave the man a rather direct gaze. "Merlyn, do not act as if you hadn't known the price. Me and some of the Archdruids still consider you a friend, however the conditions upon which you would use those gems were rather clear." - he paused and looked between the two before nodding. "Yes. Take my hand." - he would stretch it out for them.

When both of them would touch it, they would suddenly greatly gain in speed, flying through trees and bushes as if they were ethereal until eventually they would stand in front of the World Tree, near a great black warrioresque statue.

"Here is where he appeared and spoke to Netura, speaking about his desire to consume the World Tree. Feel free to investigate this place as long as you wish. We have no inkling of where he had disappeared to." - the Druid would then move over to one of the giant roots and lean upon, puffing onto his pipe.

The Fallen Druid's silence spoke volumes. His mighty jaw strained and relaxed repeatedly as the gears of thought began to turn once more in his head, blotting out the pure instinct that ruled his mind. His fists clenched as he remembered the hatred-fueled insanity and lust for vengeance which had fueled his will to live initially.

Rage and hatred filled the Archdruid, he saw visions of the past within his head, cycling over and over and over until the elf eventually roared with a bestial voice.

"Yes! Yes, give me power! Restore me once more to what I had been so that I may strike that filthy old human down and the rest of those Archdruid scum! ... And the whole world! They will all suffer as I have!"

"Then, Stagbrow, Druid of Death, I rename you Viscera. I connect you now with my own world, that of pain, misery, the end of days and the end of lives. You may tear individuals power from their bodies, and only direct combat can stop you. Never shall magic or Gods harm you. You are a conduit of my power, and you are now... Complete once more!"

While the Avatar had been speaking, Stagbrow's muscles had returned. His body inflated, his stature returned. With the strength, Stagbrow experienced pain as his body attuned itself to Death. His bones strengthened, his flesh turned black, his entire being became evil. When the ritual was complete, a shockwave flattened the surrounding foliage.

Viscera is here. And he is not happy.

Josephine began to scan the ground with her scimitar. Holding it above the ground, the orb seemed to shimmer. Eventually she stood above the point that the Avatar had stood on, and the orb projected an image onto the ground.

"Josephine, Warrior of the west, this is the Counsel of Avatars. The Avatar of Death has left us. We know only that Merlyn is in great danger, and that Death travels with the source of that danger. Keep him safe. You cannot succeed against Him without each other."

And the image disappeared.

I am the beginning of the end.

After seeing the image of the Council of Avatars, Merlyn smiled.

"It would appear that Death is looking for me, not the other way around. Very well, if this is where Death will find me, then I can think of no better place. There are far worse places to die."

Merlyn stuck his staff into the ground.

"Josephine, I would advice you to leave, but if you insist on staying, then make yourself useful. Clear everyone out of the way. Except for that statue of course. Maybe I can talk to him first, but that will probably be for naught. Still..."

Merlyn turned to Esil'dar and said:

"He is coming for me, you know, and I have a feeling he is not coming alone. The Avatar of Death has to be stopped. To interfere with the natural course of death on Beriya is the same as destroying it. I know the other Archdruids are listening too. I will sacrifice myself to stop him, if need be. If not, then perhaps I can just go home to live out my days. Will you help or just watch me die?"

"That will depend, Merlyn. If death comes only for you, then that is the natural order of things and it is not that we won't help you, but we simply wouldn't be able to. If death comes with other intentions, however, then we can surely assist in its temporary defeat." - said a soft-spoken voice as Ae descended from the tree, walking at a horizontal angle to the ground.

"As always, things are best served if first we wait and observe before acting." - he smiled in his typically shrewd, yet sincere manner.

Trevor showed up at the Great Forest. He was no longer drunk (he threw up the rest of it days ago) but he was still passing out the scrolls with the Common Calendar written on it. He told one of the Elven Druids all about it before he could say no.

"Here it is finally! Take a look!" Trevor put the scroll in front of him and opened it so he could see:

Month, Season, Sign
Farael.... Spring...Fish
Nuah...... Spring...Turtle
Pleiades.. Spring...Toad
Leafar.... Summer...Serpent
Jormungand..Summer...Dragon
Ralos...... Summer...Phoenix
Trevor......Fall... Horse
Hutan.......Fall.....Lion
Dogon...... Fall.....Rat
Valor.......Winter...Wolf
Carlock... Winter...Bear
Nevara......Winter...Raven

Days of the Week
Lights Day (it could also be called Darks Day in evil lands)
Lands Day
Waters Day
Winds Day
Fires Day
Moons Day
Gods Day

Trevor put it into the druid's hands and he walked off deeper into the Great Forest passing out scrolls he duplicated with a spell.

Hutan watched from Above as the great human warrior Hun-Tar gathered together an army in the Freeland. He prepared to cross the Hunter Hills into Hukara to free his homeland from the evil Draknites. His hope was to drive them back across the Hutan River to their nation Drakonus.

However, Hun-Tar knew it was hopeless. He had a few thousand warriors carrying spears and bows verus a much larger army of heavily armed Drakonites. Despite that, he was attacking anyway. Hutan felt sorry for him, so he threw down a gift to him. Hun-Tar was amazed when he saw the Spear of Humanity land at his feet.

Take this weapon, my son, and fight in my name! Free your people, for they were made in my name!

Sovereign Court

Grodd looked at Farael for a moment, then confidently replied:

"You look ABSOLUTELY normal! Seriously, you had to ask?"

With that; Grodd starts gesturing to the parts of his fur that has turned moss green, the red feathered garments and the pair of staghorn antlers on his his head to show Farael that the fallen god looked far more normal than he. After he had finished gesturing, Grodd then bowed and said:

"Please lead on, you have a much better sense of direction than I. "

Farael led Grodd to New Primeva, and the Primevans found Grodd to be quite normal too. They just assumed he was one of the Merrymen wearing a costume. Small children kept trying to hug him. They both saw Ralos, the Sun God, fly away. Then Farael noticed Trevor run by them; he threw him a calendar.

"The first month was named after me," Farael said.

"Which month was named after me?" Grodd asked.

"None of them. I am sorry to say, but the last month was named after Nevara."

"WHAT?! HOW DARE HE!!!" Grodd screamed.

"Look, lets follow him and ask...no, tell him to change it."

They followed Trevor all the way to the Great Forest.

Flying over Primeva, Ralos noticed a very large, great tree in a huge forest and next to it was a sixty foot (rod) tall, obsidian statue. It looked very curious, so he decided to fly down to check it out.

From the Realm of Death, LordDeath looked down on the World of Beriya, and in particular the Great Forest. He knew about the Avatar of Death, and his apparent actions were UNACCEPTABLE! He was not going to let the natural order of death be tampered with, because it would keep souls from coming into his realm. If need be, he would send an Agent of Death down there to sort things out in his name. He just really hated being disrespected in this way...

The Avatar of Death appeared in front of all at the World Tree.

"Ah, a reunion! How splendid. Armed? Ready to fight me? My, it seems I have offended you all."

The Avatar turned to Ae, and asked him "And how is Netura? I believe I may have scared her a little, not entirely on purpose. You see, Ae, I cannot kill the World Tree, nor would I attempt to. However, all things do come to an end, and I wish to savour that moment when it comes. You Archdruids have nothing to fear from Me."

Turning now to the statue of Tukatu for a moment, he looked almost surprised, like some kind of ghost would affect a mortal. "Tukatu? I assumed that those were just stories. But then, of course I would not be the only paragon of Death in this place. The World Tree draws us to it, like moths to a flame, and we can harm it about as much. No, I will not fight you, Tukatu."

And, turning one final time, the Avatar of the Dead opened his mouth to speak to Merlyn.

"Merlyn, wizard of the East, I do not intend you harm. You took my brother's success from him, indeed, and I shall savour the moment that you pass through my gate, but I intend you no ill while you are alive. After all, I signed a contract not to meddle in mortal affairs, did I not Josephine?" And at this, the Avatar of the Dead disappeared, leaving behind only unsettling silence and the memory of a smirk.

"No! He cannot go!"

Slicing the air that he stood in, Josephine's scimitar opened a viewing portal to the Avatar of the Dead's location.

But all it showed was the figure of a dark, twisted creature, thick muscles flowing under it's skin, like it was barely contained. And it was walking purposefully.

"I cannot decipher the meaning of this. Can any of you help?"

" A wise decision avatar. You may want to keep your new ally in hiding. It is him I am after."

"This did not go as planned," Merlyn said. "So that is what that scimitar does. Who is that coming through the portal? He looks familar, but it can not be..."

The Druid bear person, Jacob Bruin, brought some troops. "This is everyone from the forests who was spoiling for a fight. This awakened Owlbear Gordo, is a barbarian with a huge fallen tree limb. A couple of male unicorns, you can't pronounce their names. A Shambling Mound, a treant I think has bugs, and this pack of dire wolves. I told them only to attack the dragony looking enemy so as long as your people stay out of Gordo's way while he's raging, they should be fine."

NO, I AM THE AGENT OF DEATH!

It was too soon to act. Revenge must be sweet and complete, not a hastened decision. Two eyes glowing a disturbing colour of green, unlike Ae's soft verdant, sharply turned to look directly at the vision screen of the scimitar, sending some sort of shock of force to collide with it, halting the unceremonious eavesdropping with a shattering pulse of magical force.

It was too soon to act. Viscera needed an army. Followers. First, through his newfound connection to a side of nature, he reached out to Nevara's Reapers. He would whisper and enchant them slowly through their rather flimsy connection to death, promising them greater knowledge and power. Perhaps it would be effective, perhaps not.

Then, he would reach out to those Druids who struggled to learn the traditional Elven Druidism, whispering them promises of a different path and appealing to the various feelings they might have been having at their failures.

Then came the Druids of other races as well as the dark and light elves, promising to reestablish their once present connection to nature.

Soon, his Cult of Death would be found and the training of his minions and students would begin. When the time comes, Viscera will strike with a vengeance. Merlyn shall come first, then Death shall claim those who have long escaped it - the Archdruids!

"Your time is nigh! I shall put an end to the Age of Immortals!"

They were in Freeland preparing to attack!

Hun-Tar (riding a unicorn) led thousands of Human warriors holding the Spear of Humanity west across the Hunter Hills into Hukara. Beside him was the Druid Jacob Bruin, the Owlbear Gordo, and others. They attacked at midnight, because the Drakonites were expecting them at dawn.

The Freemen Army attacked swiftly and without mercy. Hun-Tar discovered he could throw the spear and it would return to his hand. Gordo killed hundreds of Drakonites himself. As they attacked each Drakonite outpost, the enslaved humans there rose up and joined his army. They used whatever weapons they could find. It took about a week before the Freemen drove the Drakonites east across the Hutan River back to Drakonus. Hukara was free!

Hun-Tar then had to make a difficult decision. The Drakonite King, Dra-Khan, still had King Bo-Rak hostage. Should he take his army and go free him, or stay and defend his homeland. He took a day to pray about it with his god, Hutan, and he received an answer:

Do not take your army into Drakonus. You will be outnumbered and defeated. Take the Spear of Humanity and stick it into the Hutan River, and then pray in my name. You have done well, my son.

Hun-Tar did as he was commanded. In front of his army he prayed to his god Hutan, and then he stuck the spear into the Hutan River. He heard a loud rumbling, and the earth beneath his feet began to shake. The river began to cut into the earth itself, until a large canyon divided both nations! The Drakonites would not be able to attack them again easily. It would give them time to rebuild.

Jacob Bruin said, "Behold, free people of Hukara, the god Hutan has shown us a miracle through his son Hun-Tar. I say unto you that he is your new king. All hail Hun-Tar!"

The people hailed Hun-Tar, and he had no choice but to accept it. He was torn, because across the canyon in Drakonus the former king Bo-Rak was still in chains. However, his god and people had spoken.
