Avatar of the Dead wrote:

The Avatar of Death appeared in front of all at the World Tree.

"Ah, a reunion! How splendid. Armed? Ready to fight me? My, it seems I have offended you all."

The Avatar turned to Ae, and asked him "And how is Netura? I believe I may have scared her a little, not entirely on purpose. You see, Ae, I cannot kill the World Tree, nor would I attempt to. However, all things do come to an end, and I wish to savour that moment when it comes. You Archdruids have nothing to fear from Me."

Turning now to the statue of Tukatu for a moment, he looked almost surprised, like some kind of ghost would affect a mortal. "Tukatu? I assumed that those were just stories. But then, of course I would not be the only paragon of Death in this place. The World Tree draws us to it, like moths to a flame, and we can harm it about as much. No, I will not fight you, Tukatu."

And, turning one final time, the Avatar of the Dead opened his mouth to speak to Merlyn.

"Merlyn, wizard of the East, I do not intend you harm. You took my brother's success from him, indeed, and I shall savour the moment that you pass through my gate, but I intend you no ill while you are alive. After all, I signed a contract not to meddle in mortal affairs, did I not Josephine?" And at this, the Avatar of the Dead disappeared, leaving behind only unsettling silence and the memory of a smirk.

"Avatar of Death, I am LordDeath! In other words, for this world, I AM DEATH! I run death from the Realm of Death. You shall not interfere with that. If you do, then I will send my Agent of Death to deal with you!"

From the Realm of Death, LordDeath looked down on the World of Beriya, and in particular the Great Forest. He knew about the Avatar of Death, and his apparent actions were UNACCEPTABLE! He was not going to let the natural order of death be tampered with, because it would keep souls from coming into his realm. If need be, he would send an Agent of Death down there to sort things out in his name. He just really hated being disrespected in this way...

Just inflicting pain on yourself proves nothing. If the illusion is elaborate enough, then feeling pain would be just another aspect of the mirage. No, so far no one has proved this reality.

From the Realm of the Dead, LordDeath looked down at the World of Beriya amused. Now that the Far Realms were "operational" the souls of the dead were quickly moving in. He didn't like Nevara, because kept the dead there in an undead state. He would have to deal with one day.

LordDeath was happy to have a new job. He lost his old job recently, which made him sad. His Overseer told him that he wasn't a right fit for the job, and he didn't see a light at the end of the tunnel for him at that world. What? He knew that his former "Employer" was right, but he still didn't like it. He thought he would just wander the Multiverse forever, then he found the World of Creation.

Now he waited...

Happy Happy Joy Joy!

Socks.

I have the belief that nothing we see around us is real, and everything we see is just an elaborate illusion. Prove that you are real.

Bah. Only James Jacob can answer my earthshaking questions.

Who are you?

Status update: we were flying north to confront The Destroyer have face a 99.9999% possibility of death when I received a transmission from Probe Omega 3. I was surprised to see the flying Citadel still operational, and under control of a Primevan named Alsokar. Isn't he the one who set the Destroyer free?

We land on the Citadel, and we meet Alsokar (dressed in high class power armor and carrying a sword made from obsidian) and Probe Omega Two, who has not taken a humanoid form. I briefly exchange transmissions with Two and prevent Bo-Rak from attacking Alsokar.

"Fighting me will not stop the Destroyer," Alsokar tells Bo-Rak."If I am still alive after this battle you are free to kill me, but not know. I have a plan to stop him, but I will need your help. I know you are carrying the Spear of Humanity; I have heard the stories of your father Hu-Nar and his heroic death. We will need it, because it can harm the Destroyer, but not kill him."

"Probe Omega Two, you are carrying the Sword of Destruction and the shattered Amulet of Annihilation. We will also need those items. My systems detect that even though the amulet is shattered, it is not completely broken. The sword and the amulet and still do great harm t the Destroyer, but not kill him."

"I am carrying the Obsidian Sword that freed the Destroyer. Its power grows to whatever threat it faces. If my analysis is correct, the sword's power will grow equal to the threat of the Destroyer. However, being equal is still not enough to destroy him. My proposal is this; you two use your weapons to weaken him, and then I will use the Obsidian Sword to deliver the final blow. Do you agree? If not, then I have to access the Citadel's computers again to formulate another plan."

After a time Bo-Rak and Probe nod in agreement; Probe was taking on most human expressions at this point, and that annoyed Omega Two.

"Very well, then let us begin. Omega 3, plot a course directly in front of the Destroyer so we can begin the Plan Omega."

"Affirmative," Omega 3 said. "We will be there in 5 clicks, and it will place us directly east of Lighton. Fighting with humanoid fragments of the Destroyer has already begun. He is currently recovering from an attack by a dragon-class creature that injured his eyes."

"Of course, his eyes!" Alsokar said. "So he does have humanoid weaknesses. We shall exploit those. Omega Two, ENGAGE!"

The Citadel began it's flight...

Observation: I have taken a somewhat humanoid shape and I am now flying north, with the human Bo-Rak, to confront The Destroyer. Odds of rendering the Destroyer inert are .00000000000000001%.

Statement: I am carrying the human in a pod attached to my back to protect his body from high winds and debris. Shards of the Obsidian Mountain are still falling. He is enjoying the ride, based on his statements since the beginning of the flight.
Bo-Rak is carrying a weapon called the Spear of Humanity, created by Hutan, who claims to be the god of hunting. My initial analysis shows me it can damage all known objects, but I have not done a full analysis on the Destroyer.

Speculation: we are doomed.

Observation: I am carrying a weapon called the Sword of Destruction. It was crafted by Dogarr, who claims to be the god of destruction. My initial analysis indicated it can cause considerable damage to anything it strikes, but I have not done a full analysis of the Destroyer.

Second Speculation: we are still doomed.

Observation: in one of my compartments I am carrying a object called the Amulet of Annihilation, that was attached to a necklace made of an unknown metal. I will analyze it. Its current form is broken in two; it was pierced by the Spear of Humanity. That piercing caused an explosion that created the region currently called the Lightscar.

Third Speculation: the object was not crafted by Dogarr, but another so called "god". Further, the object in question can be repaired. It has a quality of being able to annihilate any living being it touches.

Statement: I am not a living entity, so I am unaffected by the amulet.

Question: is the Destroyer living? Are these so called "gods" affected?

Analysis: I need more information to make a conclusion. Switching to a humanoid form has caused a severe strain on my initial programming. I am beginning to have unknown transmissions that come at an ever increasing frequencies. I describe these transmissions to Bo-Rak, and he makes the following observation:

"It sounds like you are afraid."

Statement: I am unable to feel human emotions, so the human Bo-Rak must have made a "mistake", which is common for his species. We will arrive near the entity called The Destroyer in .57 ticks.
