Our companies and members have worked hard to build a unique community, but have always held close the knowledge that our best opportunity is to work with other dedicated groups to build something strong.
Elkhaven, and her three companies are pulling up stakes and moving to become an integral part of Ozem’s Vigil where where we will work with our new community to build one of the strongest and most welcoming settlements in The River Kingdoms. We hope you will consider joining us in an extraordinary venture to be the among the most awesome of awesome in Golarion.

Ooo, shiny. Happy to see Ozem's Vigil grow, they are good people (except those Fidelus chaps, keep an eye on them).
Congrats! I'll miss Elkhaven, but good to know we have a new big group makin' a difference.

Amazing news! We are glad to welcome you and all of Elkhaven to OV. The future is bright indeed!
Huzzah!! Glad you aren't moving too far away Caldeathe!
Grats Caldeathe and good luck at the Vigil
Congratulations on the move and a great choice.
Congrats, although I am sorry to see one of the three chaotic based settlements disappear.
Congratulations to both of you!
Congrats! Hope you enjoy your new home. Though my sentiments follow Budd's.
Cheers! To Elkhaven and a stronger Ozem's Vigil from RBL (Canis Castrum). *raises glass*
Congratulations on the merge! May all your companies continue to prosper.
Great news! May the side of good ever prevail!
Good work! It is great to see settlements combine this way. I wish you all much success in this move.

Ozem's Vigil is very happy to welcome Elkhaven and Her Companies into full and equal Partnership. We both share similar in game goals and are only stronger through the joining of our efforts.
These three unique Companies bring even more diversity and different strengths to the mix. We are very glad that they have chosen to sit at our great round table and rule this settlement with us as Partners.
We're very excited about this, and gratefully welcome our new brothers and sisters aboard!
Congratulations to both parties. Good is solidifying into a force to be reckoned with. That is a happy thought, and is sure to be great for the game as a whole :)
Looking forward to rp with you guys!
Thanks everybody. I'm looking forward to having a solid, and substantial, team to back us up. It's going to feel like a mini-vacation after the last 7 weeks.
Bluddwolf wrote: Congrats, although I am sorry to see one of the three chaotic based settlements disappear. Thanks. While I may seem to play a chaotic on the boards, Elkhaven was never chaotic. Your eyes must have slipped on their way across the leaderboard. Maybe Freevale who were close in size?
Congratulations to everyone involved.
I liked playing around a little with both groups. Now that you're going to be in the same place it's even easier. Yay!
It's a good move.
Best wishes. Come by Tavernhold for a glass. See if we can figure how to do Poutine properly. I look forward to closer relationship with Ozem's Vigil as aiignment may allow.
It is sad to see Elkhaven go. I still remember how I was rooting for Caldeathe in the first week to get enough members to get a settlement. It is a great choice you have done and all the best in your new home.
You are always welcome at the Emerald Lodge. When will the rest move over?
I'm loathe to predict anything about how quickly people will respond. Summer is a tough time to get people to care about a game they can't play yet.
This is great news! Congratulations!
I'll miss Elkhaven on the map, though. It's a beautiful name for a settlement.
Elkhaven will be around. Maybe a tavern or way station for now.
Congratulations to all and good luck!
An odd, yellow, goat-drawn vardo slowly makes its way down an abandoned road towards the great settlement of Ozem's Vigil. As the wagon draws nearer to the towering city walls it suddenly comes to a halt and out a tiny side window pops a very lively, yet very old crone.
"Would ye looky there Goaty, elfies be in here! Oh, what a beautiful sight they be! Just think all the pretty blonde hair we can braid and songs about trees we can sing!"
<pulls out her enormous pipe and takes a puff>
<cackles>
It's good to see you mother. Come into the tavern and sit down here at the table and I'll have someone bring you little stew and some mead.

It's Elkhaven Canadian. One good mug and she'll be relaxed enough.
Caldeathe Baequiannia wrote: Elkhaven will be around. Maybe a tavern or way station for now. Once OE hits, you could always expand and have a settlement with that name ;)
Congrats to all parties involved, your settlement will be a great beacon of goodness in the realms.
I'm leaving Elkhaven up for a few days yet, to make sure a few out-of-contact people have a chance to see what we're up to, but will definitely disband in time to vacate our spot before the final landrush assignment so it can be clear for another group.
A (potentially obvious) bit of advice: Might want to make sure your alternate locations aren't places where folk are relying on Hunker Down bonuses. It'd suck if Elkhaven got bumped from its current location and accidentally bumped someone else needlessly.
Just pick the (T)railerpark as your first choice and you won't have to worry about hurting anyone else...
I'm hoping (fingers crossed) we'll be too small by Sunday to bump anyone, but excellent point taken. Sadly, there's not much we can do about it. I've got my order set at current spot and then following the order of the landrush from top to bottom.
At this point, we don't have enough to bump most of the groups with significant bonuses. Our effective total at the moment puts us in 25th place.
As one of the small people struggling to get a couple more people and at least a choice of the few low level spots, please just put T at the top of your list or disband before this Sunday.
If you really have no intention of retaining Elkhaven as an independent entity you're not doing anyone (yourself included) any favors by keeping it active. Your members don't learn anything from your landrush page, which is the same result as you disbanding it immediately as far as they are concerned. All you're doing is artificially messing with rankings and hunker bonuses, which you have already done for a week.
If you continue to do so I can only assume your doing it on purpose while feigning to care about how it effects others.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I have only third party contact with five of my members, and no contact at all with two others. How have we messed with anyone's hunker-down bonus? We didn't bump anyone. Just because Vox doesn't want "T" doesn't mean nobody else does. If you can can get an agreement on exactly which spot on the board no other group wants, I'm happy to put it at the top of our list. Otherwise, we will probably disband before midnight Pacific time this coming Sunday. No-one is entitled to have us do so.

If 13 votes is a problem for you, it says more about your situation than it does Caldeathe and Elkhaven.
He has his reasons and I assure you that it's not nefarious.
And as long as we are making assumptions, I am drawing a few of my own based on your post.
If you closed shop and vacated your current position before the point calculation this past Sunday it would have resulted in very different positions for the bottom folks, which would have netted some of them hunker bonuses for two weeks instead of one. Especially because we know two of the settlements in the bottom haven't changed their hex priority from the default.
Nothing you said explains why you are keeping open your settlement. It doesn't make any sense to do so outside of affecting the rankings. If that was your plan then fine, I won't begrudge you that. I was irked because you seemed to indicate you don't want to mess with anyone but already have indirectly and might continue to do so.
And yeah, you're right, no one is entitled you could stay there until the last day or purposefully mess with people; doesn't mean I have to agree with it or can't alter my opinion of you based on it.
If you are gone and don't affect anything else by Sunday midnight then whatever, bunch of complaining by me that didn't really matter.

Nefarious or not they do not exist in a vacuum. And yes 13 votes is a problem for me, if you checked my horrible ranking you would be well aware of that.
If you aren't making assumptions based on what people are saying and doing then how exactly do you gauge the value of anything they say?
Actually, I was thinking the most sensible settlements to list would be places you couldn't possibly get—the locations of Aragon, Ozem's Vigil, etc.
EDIT: Heh. Due to an insane misunderstanding, Elkhaven accidentally steals E from Ozem's Vigil! Tensions rise!
Kobold Cleaver wrote: Actually, I was thinking the most sensible settlements to list would be places you couldn't possibly get—the locations of Aragon, Ozem's Vigil, etc. That would just bump them down the list until they settled somewhere sans a hunker down bonus. As long as their first pick isn't their current spot their score is just the raw total members.
I put in a change to Elkhaven's page to indicate the Ozem's move. I have no control over the act that no-one at Goblinworks has processed it yet. I'm sorry it's caused you distress.
I've removed the four people I have contact with, and two people I think I have solid information about, which drops Elkhaven to 7, off the leaderboard so there's no danger of us being at fault in any future settlement failures. Good luck
I thank you for your consideration and apologize if I was ruder than necessary to illustrate my position.
