Which takes me back to Ultima III, where if you lurked around outside the Castle of Exodus, the lawns started attacking. Of course inside, there were assorted demons, dragons, and at the end, killer floors...

Animals and Plants has been axed to make way for splitting vermin into two categories, worms and bugs.
They have indeed, and the BUGS ARE HERE! Past $61,000 already and still rolling! The backer poll for bugs has been sent! A DOUBLE-SIZED bug list, with FIVE votes for your favorites! Gotta catch em all!

We are closing in on CAMPAIGN SETTING MYTHIC - just a few hundred away! And NEW bonus goals are within reach, if things go completely crazy in the next few hours! Hey, always prepare for success, that's what I say!

Anguish |

And I'm in.
I had to lie to Amazon a little bit because the Mythic Marvel Plus wouldn't let me pledge $180. Y'know... $150 plus $30 'cuz I'm in Canada. No, no, Kickstarter decided I need to amp it up to $200 because "add $50 if not in the US". Turns out there's a "lie to Amazon" button, where you just say you're in the US. Problem solved. For now.
Bottom line is you've got my money. Or will, shortly.
Kudos on changing the policy on the PDFs; if I'd had to pay for them in addition, I'm sure I wouldn't've bothered. The cherry on the top really makes the cake.

I kinda wish they'd retro this with regards to their last KS; (I was in for the print book) Even though I'm not as likely to get as much use out of the pdf, it IS nice to have a backup in case a 'kids happen' situation arises.
(as an aside, I didn't even have my Ultimate Campaign book at home for 2 days before my 2-year old tore a page almost in half. *sigh* That's what I get for letting him look at the pictures...)

...I'll most likely try to budget for the hardcovers once they're released - are they likely to still be $50 each?
I believe in one of Jason's interviews, he mentioned that the price of the books will likely become $59.99 once they start selling through webstores. And the PDFs will cost extra if you want to get them at the same time. So, the value is actually much greater if you can commit to the hardcovers now. Not only will you get the books for $50.00 apiece, but you'll also get the PDFs for free since they're all inclusive at those backer levels now.

IIRC they will be more expensive upon final release, and getting them now makes it easier to hit stretch goals. Of course money can be an issue.

El Ronza |

That's fine, I can budget for $180 worth of books over the course of the next year. I just don't have the money for the hardcovers now. If I did, I'd get them, but the shipping to Australia HURTS.
If I had a chance of paying for them over the next several months, that would be fantastic, but unfortunately, that's nt an option with Kickstarters.

Just added 90$ to take advantage of the Ultimate Psionics print book + pdf add-on (good thing I checked the whole list otherwise I would have missed it).
I live in France, so I may need to up the shipping costs already included in my pledge for the 3 Mythic books (50$), but if I understood the add-on correctly, I can add this amount after the KS ends. (Hope so at least, as I got to start my 2h30 minutes commute to my job right now).
And I really hope we smash the 68 000 $ goalpost. Mythic afflictions are an absolute Must-Have !!!

Because my favorite creature type ever gets into the MMM:MMM, I am sponsoring something. All mythic animals and magical beasts which trample their foes will be able to make use of Mythic Barreling Overrun!

Oceanshieldwolf |

Huh. Who knew? My two humble spells from Deep Magic will get the Mythic treatment!?!? I don't even have the Mythic Rules (though I have gifted them to someone else, and they are available on the PRD) and have exhausted my funds so I'm not pledging for this. I would like to have been able to though.
Only about 40 mins left!!!

The final verdict, including Paypal backers: $70,012!
Though for anyone who wanted to pledge and didn't, or wanted to add on a little something extra, for a limited time you can still do that via Paypal. Check the above link for the details!
Thank, thank you one and all.

I did contribute for all three books, but ouch, that’s pretty steep. I mean the Core Rulebook is almost 600 pages and is only $50. Yes, I understand you are a smaller company and Jason will probably print less copies (besides the KS copies) for the mythic books once they becomes available on the webstores, but that’s still pretty high.
I spoke to one of my GMs and he had to hold off on going in on the KS as he said he needs to save every penny for GenCon. He did indicate he will purchase the books when they come out, and I did tell him they would be more money, but he said that was fine.
Any idea how much the PDFs will be and what the final (approximate) page counts will be for the three books?

Changing Man |
I'm curious as to what the 'cut off dates' will be for the Companion & Chronicles books; I mean, it's not like the Companions & Chronicles lines are likely to stop any time soon... Of course, in an ideal world, the books would magically have blank pages that fill themselves in whenever a new book is released in those lines, and if the original book gets too full, it spontaneously spawns a new book to continue growing...

![]() |

Exactly what will be included from those product lines remains to be seen. We need to survey the product lines to see how much is out there.
Ditto on page counts; in the mad surge at the end those totally got lost count of. Our general guesstimates will start resolving themselves as things get written and we see how much it all adds up to.

You really shouldn't base your estimates on the Core Rulebook, as it's deliberately priced as low as Paizo can possibly afford. It's a loss leader to allow as many people as possible access to the game, in hopes that they'll then buy the more conventionally priced books.

Yes, that is a good point. I guess books are just that expensive now, especially color ones. I just hope it doesn’t turn off my GM when the time comes that the books are available to purchase online. I don’t think it will, as when I told him the price will be higher (than if he contributed) and he said that was fine.
A better comparison is the rotrl hardcover, which is only a third the length of one of these books and costs $60.
I would agree RotRL would be a better comparison, although not sure where you got one third the length as it is 420 pages.

And by the way, here is a really cool list of monsters, chosen and earned by the fans of MYTHIC MANIA!
Voting will continue until the end of the week, but I thought people might like an update on what the leading candidates are.

Drock11 |
I think about a little under 50% of the monsters I voted for made the cut. The majority of the low CR monsters I voted for made it. Not bad. I even purposely didn't look at how the votes were doing in each monster type until after I voted to make sure it didn't influence my decisions. I might have helped influence more of the monsters that had a chance the other way, but I figure my favorites still deserve some love even the ones that didn't get in. Overall it's a good selection.
The PDFs coming with the books also opened up the cash to sponsor that mythic rogue talent I talked about if you'll be able to do that, and if not I'll just get the books signed and call it good.

Mind if I ask which rogue talent it is?

One question I have is that I am unclear what books exactly are getting the "All inclusive" treatment in regards to feats.
Of particular interest to me is the Animal Archive, however as this is part of the players companion line I was unsure if it is included.
In any case very excited by these books.

Monkeygod |

I believe, according to Jason, that right now they are unsure what material from the Companion and Campaign books are getting in, as there is a LOT to choose from.
Not to sound like I'm trying to push for more money, but honestly, if there is something from Animal Archive that you feel HAS to be Myhticked, I'd sponsor it, for $25, if its a feat or spell.
