FINALLY :D

Goblin Squad Member

EE guy, just finally deciding to get my head in here and check things out. Excited at how close PFO is moving along and cannot wait for it to get started :D

Still deciding on what I am going to play, but that will all come together as time gets closer :D

Welcome to Kobold Cleaver (though a welcome this late is a little odd) and TheRedKommie!

Tombstone, I don't remember if you've posted here already, and I'm too lazy to scroll through. If you haven't, a hearty welcome to you too! :)

I don't think I've posted here, I don't post much. I'm more anxious to get involved with politics in-game, the axe-to-face kind.

I'm a Thane in Aeternum, a proper Dwarf of course, running an internal CC called the Hounds of the Imperium. We like contracts that let us be violent; mercenary work, guarding caravans, bounty hunting and the like.

So hello to the Community at large, can't wait to do business when we get in-game.

Goblin Squad Member

Welcome Kard. :)

That guy is gonna cover my "blank" when I can't. Lubb You Kard! :)

I feel the love!

Yeah, I deliberately held off posting here. I wasn't gonna until OE, but, well, :).

Greetings community.

I'll introduce myself - I've lurked on this board ever since the first kickstarter was announced, with a few breaks. I have not paid super-close attention to anything not on this board. I considered backing this game in both kickstarters and am considering purchasing an EE account. I am currently unaffiliated and am likely to remain so - I have PM'd with a few people for clarification on some issues, but do not have any intentions of joining a group yet. I do not know what type of character or role I would like to play in PFO, but if I do play, I will likely be very casual, so I am not sure how much enjoyment I would get out of this game.

About my play experience:
I started playing MMORPGs only recently, playing MineCraft on a PvP server known as DarkTide - this probably doesn't count as "massive" since I think the server could only support 100 people or so. I play EvE and WoW on-and-off.

Warm regards,
Wyntr

Goblin Squad Member

Welcome Wyntr, glad to see another face, and hope you end up making it into the game!

Goblin Squad Member

Greetings Wyntr,

If you decide to play with this bunch of nuts, I hope that you find the perfect type of group you need. :)

Wynter is coming.
Sorry I had to

I know,

It's hard to resist a good pun.

Goblin Squad Member

I'll give a big thanks to CBDunkerson for his Guild list.
I'm starting to look at the guilds.

And I think guilds should be double checking what they have posted up.
Since a number don't list their alignment, I'm not looking at them since a settlement can only be ONE Alignment and it might not be compatible with the characters I'm going for.

I'm now going to forevermore see "Snorter" in a different light...Ghod help me.

Signing in, plan on playing a Garundi Paladin of Sarenrae named Amaziah Hadithi, I'm a big rper and am looking for a guild that hopefully includes foreigners like Garundi and that roleplays.

Ozems Vigil or The Empyrean Order would likely do quite well for you.

Always welcome! I want players to find the location that best serves them and ensures that they'll have a good time playing. I'll pass on information about any group. While the UNC and I don't see eye to eye on a lot of things, when someone wants to be a bandit, I direct them towards the UNC.

Just curious though I was looking at the listings since I will be playing a true to type Sarenrae Paladin which is Neutral Good does the group take NG characters or would I be better off looking for a NG group?

I notice because they are LG, and my character is more interested in following good than following law.

Goblin Squad Member

Settlements allow members to be up to one step away in alignment, so you should be fine.

Goblin Squad Member

Either one would probably work - I'd read their guild descriptions and see which one sounds like a better fit, and you could always talk to someone in the guilds you're looking at if you have any questions about them too.

Goblin Squad Member

speaking for myself, I am going the LN route, and others are going Ln and NG as well. We do welcome anyone within 1 step of LG. The LG Paladin theme is for the RP flavor and for the in-game mechanic that High Tier Paladin training will be at LG settlements only.

Goblin Squad Member

just joined up with UNC, should be entertaining

Another joining UNC.

Long time lurker, been reading a lot of threads, but haven't been posting a lot (Maybe that will change once the forums move and they have a better layout then currently).

Anyways, I am an EE supporter and am quite excited for August, especially since DDO (and Neverwinter, and Eve, and....) has been boring me of late and I think I am quite done with theme parks these days.

Joined the Dagedai Alliance, so definitely looking forward to hitting the ground running.

Greetings, all!

Blood Dragon here, representing Hammerfist Clan. I guess this posting is a long time coming, and I was just recently reminded that we needed to get our name out there as soon as possible, for folks to see what we're all about. We can be best contacted via here.

We are still in internal discussion as to some of the specifics about our own settlement, but we will be posting updates soon.

Respectfully,

BD

Thank you very much for the warm welcomes.

Well, Qorwynn Ravensworn of the Grim Maw Clan, human Cleric of either Gorum or Calistria for the settlement of Aragon. Also will be brewing potions and poisons for the UNC.

Not going to beat around the bush, but I am very excited for the game, and excited to hit the River Kingdoms with the Unnamed Company.

See you all out there.

My apologies for my own late reply. It's good to see you on here, and I'm sure we all look forward to more specifics about your settlement.

Man, this hasn't been updated in a long time. Is everything here still accurate Keovar? Anything you wish to change or update?

Greetings. Welcome indeed. You may have to put rar on delay with the rest of us who want to play monks. Monks will probably not appear until OE or a little later, unless there is a massive croudforging swell to put monk development before the other, more easily implemented roles.

I would join that massive crowdforging swell. I would settle for a clear training path, like a pre-monk fighter archetype, that could be transfered to monk once it becomes available.

I very much enjoyed Harad Navar's Gobbocast on this subject and suppose I will be doing a similar build.

I'm just a wayward bro who is watching the unfolding of events. I am not even a backer (the humanity!) yet. I want to be, but I want to see some more game play footage.

I picked this game out of a hat to emotionally support.

Hello and welcome celestialiar!

Any other lurkers out there who want to introduce themselves?

Goblin Squad Member

Welcome, celestialiar! We hope you'll stick around and join in as many conversations as interest you; we can use all the voices we can find.

Goblinworks Executive Founder

Not really new to this, considering I was one of the two they took inspiration from for the crowdforging term and have been playing Pathfinder since 2009. But I guess I'm just saying hi. Joined UNC, specifically Grim Maw Company.

Goblin Squad Member

Hi back, kryvnus. Glad to have you here, and we hope you'll participate in as many conversations as interest you; we need all the voices we can find.

Padrone, of Magistry, of Talonguard. Just got here, trying to check in at least a few times a week to keep abreast of any changes. EE/2nd month, and looking forward to logistics, supply and diplomacy.

"You've got to eat, get armor/weapons and repair your stuff, right?"
- (Me in a number of other MMO's)

"Amateurs talk about tactics, but professionals study logistics."*
- Gen. Robert H. Barrow, USMC (Commandant of the Marine Corps)

"There is nothing more common than to find considerations of supply affecting the strategic lines of a campaign and a war."
- Carl von Clausevitz

"The line between disorder and order lies in logistics…"
- Sun Tzu

So, great military minds have known this for a while. 'Nuff said.

* Yeah, I know, some folks attribute this to Omar Bradley, but I know Barrow said this, and being a member of Uncle Sam's Misguided Children, I'll attribute it as I see it.
