Steak and Kidney or Pork Pies?
What exactly is in Steak and Kidney pie? I keep hearing it contains neither.

Its a meat based pie with minced steak and chopped kidney. The good ones are all steak kidney and gravy... I dont want to know what is in the cheap ones.

The traditional Australian meat pie is small enough to held in one hand and is best served with beer at either a Rugby or Australian Rules Football match.

As cricket is played in the summer it is usually too hot for meat pies.... unless its a Day/Night match, then a Pie and Beer is a good dinner.

Cricket is not as much fun to go to any more... Cant throw beach balls around the crowd, cant do Mexican waves, they only serve light beer, no beer snakes they frown on silly hats and dressing up. The fun police have ruined the atmosphere.

Fixed that for you.

I know, I know, what sort of Aussie am I?

Ok, it's kinda fun when we beat the Brits.

And the South Africans and the Indians.... I wish we characters in the back in the game like Lily, Thomo and Marsh, or Viv "Master Blaster" Richards and Joel "Big Bird" Garner - When I was a lad Cricket was so much fun. Now its serious and boring.

As it should be. We, as a people, shouldn't be turning attempted genocide on a galactic scale into a game in the first place. [/reference]

coming to take me away, ha-haaa!!!

So someone is seriously trolling the Wizards forums hard here are just a few of the thread titles.
"D&D + DDI - PDF = POS"
"Blizzard Entertainment Sues Wizards of the Coast for Copyright Violations"
"2012: Paizo buys D&D from WotC, Releases 5e"
"D&D 5th edition announced - dice removed, CCG format implemented"
All from the same guy. I'm surprised he hasn't been banned he keeps posting this stuff.

Morning all. What did I miss?

I slept through my alarm this morning. It went off and all. I just kept sleeping. I woke up at 8:35. We're supposed to leave the house at 8:20. Oops. So I had to call the school and tell them that Bryce was gonna be late. We got ready to go in about a half hour (It usually takes an hour and a half so that was pretty impressive.) and he was a half hour late to school. And this is the kid who usually melts down over any unexpected change in routine. :S
Hopefully the extra sleep will have balanced out the change in routine and he won't be a total terror at school today. I don't know what happened. I went to bed early last night and everything.

I hope Bryce's day goes well.

Did you short yourself on sleep the night before? I usually find that I'm OK the day after a lack of sleep, but the next day is when it hits.

"Peterson" is not "up north". (j/k -- I know that it is to you, but when I read it here -- way up north -- I was thinking that they must have moved Peterson somewhere near Monument.)

Sent you an email.

Thanks.

I shorted myself on sleep all last week. I tried not to, but it was kinda a miserable week. Way too much homework for the kidlet. Having a little of that trouble this week too, but this time I planned for it and have dinners on hand that allow us to still be able to eat at something resembling a reasonable time. Chicken nuggets and french fries are this weeks staples. :)

So, there I was, surfing the internet, minding my own business and ignoring my job for a few minutes. I StumbleUpon'd an article talking about 10 little known facts about Harry Potter. One of the facts was that each of the main character's wands were based on their Tree sign from the Celtic Zodiac. So, being I had nothing pressing to do, I went and checked a Celtic Zodiac site.

And discovered that my tree sign for March 14th is Ash. I've been playing this character for almost 15 years and this is the weirdest thing to me, that I'd name him this without any foreknowledge of the significance...

My sign is "the vine"? What the heck?

I know that feeling! Having worked there, I try not to give them my money, but they are cheapest place to shop at in my neck of the woods so sometimes I just have to suck it up.

What's that Walmart? Your speaking to me? You want me to kill my friends? Yes Walmart. I will protect you. /southpark
