Well, the whole town went bat-s@&# crazy when Gary the Plastic Surgeon had a sale on new faces. Now no one can tell who anyone is. Meanwhile, the building at #4 Fawtl Drive burned down last night in a mysterious fire, prompting all the residents to move next door to #5. And, across town, rumors of a rabid bear were just that.....No, wait! That's my soap opera!

Well, ill luck has taken a turn for the better. Found out my supervisor at the second job isn't that miffed at me after all for missing that shift as all the others went out and just gave me a gentle nudge to keep an eye on the dates on the schedule next time. *WHEW* I was truly excreting cinderblocks on that one, as I was quite worried. Also, when I got to the day job today I discovered that my supervisor was out yesterday due to horrific stomach distress- and she has bedbugs to boot. I think it's good luck that I didn't get them, but both she and I are also QUITE pissed that our mutual boss did not warn us about another potential outbreak. It's an occupational hazard in my job that few of us mind(unless we get them), but it's more than just good manners to let people know about it- its damn necessary. We have the exterminator coming in again soon, I'm just praying I don't get a case of it before I go to the con at the end of the month. Speaking of, I better get my plane tickets for the return trip to NY from SC.
Well, that's about it for now. I have a rare moment of peace when all of the people on my caseload are here, so I'm gonna get to meeting with people.

Yakee Boy Basin was incredible. I didn't have as much time there as I would have liked. We hiked around 4 miles going up and along the way, I kept saying -- "ok, on the way back, I'll take some time to get a good picture of that..." The only problem was, while we were at the top it started raining. Hard. Thankfully, some people took pitty on two soaking people and gave us a ride down to our car -- but I missed a lot of pictures I really wanted to take. (Note to self -- if you've got the shot, take it!)
