GM Jhaeman |
Some general notes:
* Please make sure you have a good tagline with character stats. This saves me a lot of time while GMing and makes the game go by faster for everyone. If you're new to PbP and need help figuring out how to format things, just post here and we'll help you. Similarly, keep your tagline updated if you're casting buffs, have ongoing conditions, take damage, etc.
* If you have a really strange or complex build and want to explain anything in advance, please feel free to use this thread. f you want to earn extra GM love, posting a full character sheet in your profile is great. That way I can look stuff up and answer my own "how did they do that?" questions.
* I try to post at least once every day, and it would be good if you aim for the same thing. Real life comes up, of course, so if you need me to bot you, give me instructions or I'll play your character very conservatively (probably doing Total Defense).
* You'll need a picture of your character for the grid scenes.
* Feel free to post actions in the alternative to speed up gameplay. For example, "I search for traps--if there aren't any, I open the door, but if there are, I try to disable them."
Finally, role-playing is good! Please give your PC some personality and engage with the other PCs and NPCs. I'll gently move us along if we're dwelling too much in one part of the scenario.
Any questions, ask away!

Hi! Can Muddy Mudflipper join?

Hello, if you do, be prepared for some frog jokes. If I remember correctly, Khugron has never seen a Grippli before.
FYI, the part about the ponchos, when Khugron is raging with Enlarged Person and Power Attack going, his hits are 2d8+17, with crits at 6d8+51.
Muddy Mudflipper |
Purchasing the Wand/Cure Moderate Wounds (5 charges; 450gp, limit 1) from chronicle for #8-07: The Tome of Righteous Repose. I'm crossing it off the chronicle now.
Letting any divine casters know that Muddy has that wand stowed in his Bag of Holding. He can't cast spells so, in case he goes down, ya'll know where it is.
Muddy Mudflipper |
@Khugron: Regarding the ponchos, you wouldn't happen to be a GWAR fan now, would you? Or Gallagher the watermelon smashing comic?

Last adventure I started carrying the ponchos. It was that or hope there was an arcane caster with prestidigitation.
I have a tendency to get crits with Khugron. Threw a javelin at a T-rex and got a crit. Two adventures ago, I critted twice. This was the write up from the GM.
Khugron finally found an enemy that couldn't be one-shot with his normal damage... so he crit it just to make sure, lol.
Utterly confident in his own skills and abilities, the unarmed monk is darting through combat ready to get a good punch in on the darn mounted cavalry invading his gang's base. That thought was not the last thing to go through his head... the tip of Khugron's Bec de Corbin was. And it just kept going, completely vaporizing his skull into a fine red mist. The monks body simply skids to the ground lifeless.
Khugron steps back, and with a bare flicker of action, his massive polearm appears in his hand. The heavy pointed hammer threateningly close to the enemy. He yells a challenge and brings it in a massive over the head swing, building momentum for a mighty strike. The thug just looks on in wonder, frozen in place as the hammer swings towards him. With a sickening explosion of bone and viscera, the pointed part of the hammer completely demolishes the head and upper body of the thug and what remains crumples to the ground.

In addition to above, he is also a follower of Gorum.

There's a local player in my hometown who also has a nagaji bloodrager that relies on reach weapons and enlarge person. Maybe it's Khugron's brother from another mother :)
What I want to know is where are all the nagaji mesmerists or psychics at?
Lol! Right? I have a Vishkanya swashy/mesmerist. Mostly GM credit. Muddy is mostly GM credit, too. I'm new to PbP, obviously, but really like how I have several hours to decide what to do as opposed to "Ahh, crap! I know I have a bonus to hit undead somewhere. Hang on a minute."
I'm so happy to be playing my old PFS1e PCs now since 2e took over Denver.

Awesome! I toured with GWAR on 2 North American tours in the '90s.
Truddig |
Truddig is buying 2 vials of antitoxin; here is his complete purchase list for this chronicle:
muleback cords (1,000 gp)
belt of incredible dexterity +2 (4,000 gp)
50 cold iron arrows (5 gp)
antitoxin x2 (100 gp)
Mivvy Hetherington |
I have checked over my sheet and updated. A few errors there (in my last adventure we found an amulet of natural armour and Mivvy was wearing it but she never bought it).
It took me a while to figure out the PfE problem. I had benefited from the spell in the past and when I unticked it in herolab the untick did not register. I had to delete it from the 'spell adjustments' panel.

If he has the Aberrant Bloodline, it might be his brother.
Funny part is that I do have a Nagaji mesmerist {level 1.2} but I have not played him in three years when PFS died after the two main GM's moved.
Muddy Mudflipper |
Are Orst & Constantine still with us? No posts from them since the weekend. :/
Truddig |
Hi! This is a heads up that I'm going camping this weekend. I'm leaving tonight (Thurs) and won't be returning until Sunday. Please bot me as needed!
Khugron |
Not sure if it is part of the adventure but is it possible to salvage the ship or it is in bad shape like the other one?
GM Jhaeman |
This ship is definitely salvageable.
Upon further reading, the scenario's a bit unclear. The ship has taken on water and is described as a "wreck" in some passages, but there's no particular description of how or why. So we'll leave it in the "salvageable with some repairs" (unlike the earlier pirate ship which was barely more than a floating derelict).
Khugron |
From the map, it looks like if is on water. If so, have the crew beach it to prevent if from sinking and they can repair it later.
roll4initiative |
Well, we aren't getting any special reward or monetary bonus on our chronicle for salvaging the ship. We beach it and report back to the society that "there's a ship for you worth salvaging".
Although, from a roleplay perspective, if you purchase the Merchant Ship vanity, you now have a reason where you got one.
Truddig |
Survival checks should probably come from Truddig (+13 bonus, +3 favored terrain, +3 track) with Muddy (+10 bonus) providing aids.
I suppose that puts us two in the lead position?
Truddig |
Be my guest. I can always fight over the top of your heads.
Truddig's an archer; he doesn't really want to lead, but it seems hard to point out the trail from the back....
Orst Tilboar |
Orst should be somewhere near the middle. He has terrible perception and sounds like a pota and pans saleman. He will pull out his ioun torch to leave his hands free.
Constantin the Azlant |
Constantin should also be in the middle.
Muddy Mudflipper |
Put me anywhere. I can always pull back to use my bow. I like to climb trees and shoot from a tree limb.
Muddy Mudflipper |
Phone completely died! Dead! Waiting for new one to pick up tonight at store. Sorry! I will post tomorrow.
Constantin the Azlant |
All bards get the ability to start their performances as a move action at 7th level. I can also do action economy shenanigans with Riddy as a duettist, but that's a separate bag of tricks.
GM Jhaeman |
It's safe to say we'll be finishing up soon. Could I ask you all to please do the following things:
* Review the check-in sheet information you placed in the Recruitment thread to verify it is accurate.
* Roll Day Job checks (if you have them) or let me know if there are other special things (like faction journal card accomplishments, etc.) that I should add to the Chronicle.
* Review your posts in the Gameplay thread and make sure you've removed any consumables (potions, wand charges, scrolls, etc.) from your inventory tracking sheets.
* I don't think anyone has any conditions that need to be cleared (at least so far), but if you do, let me know what you're doing to clear them.

Back in Andoran, Muddy notices a merchant wagon pulling up to his hunting lodge cabin located in Darkwood Vale. The merchant explains that he is lost and was on his way to Falcon's Hollow. Muddy offers to lead the wagon back in the right direction.
Day Job (Survival & Faction Pin bonus): 1d20 + 1d4 + 10 ⇒ (11) + (4) + 10 = 25
The merchant thanks Muddy and tosses him a bag of coins for his services.
Fifty gold pieces! Thank you, mister!
----------------------------------
I also get to check a box for "Adventure in a place other than Absalom" on my faction card. (River Kingdoms).
Orst Tilboar |
Orst is a Barrister in his spare time.
day job barrister: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
The information in the recruitment thread is correct, but the starting gold should be reduced by the belt and torch he bought (-4,110g)
