When would purchase magic item that occupies the feet slot, you may apply enchantment directly to these shoes, reducing the price by the shoe’s value. These shoes count as jewelry for the purposes of accessorizing a courtier’s or noble’s outfit.

The wand gains 3 charges each time you apply an additional Gallows of Madness Chronicle sheet to this character. Additionally, Nolaria provides you with the following benefits during the other chapters of Gallows of Madness. If you play “What Lurks in the Woods”, she gives you a map of the area around Saringallow that grants a +2 circumstance bonus on Survival checks during this adventure. She also warns you that she has seen fiendish goblins in the area, and provides you with information about these creatures as if you had rolled a 40 on your Knowledge check to identify them. If you play “Festering Blot” with this character, show this boon to your GM. Nolaria provides you with a rough description of the layout of the areas labeled K1-K17 before you leave Saringallow in their direction.

Mivvy is not daft enough to face down anything fierce but quite enjoys embarrassing graceless opponents. She has a high opinion of her own intellect: you might know things she doesn't but she knows the correct things.
Eventually she should become more confident and competent but also less aloof.

1. Where were you born? When? How old are you? Were you born into opulence? Were you born behind a dung cart on a short break from another of your mother’s back-breaking work days?

"I was actually born at the Summerhouse in Semedir. Mother thought the fresh mountain air would be good for a child."
Mother didn't want to look hideous, bloated and red-faced amongst the Oppara set.

2. Are your parents still alive? If not, when and how did they die? Does their present situation or the circumstances surrounding their death have any effect on your life choices? What is their legacy? Did they pass on a family curse? Was their fortune swindled away by a scurrilous villain? Were they nobles? Were they dirt poor? Were you ashamed of them? Were you proud of them? Were they ashamed of you? Were there secrets? Did your father have a strange signet ring that disappeared mysteriously when he died? Did your mother run a mage
academy? Did people give you sidelong glances and mutter about your “real” father when you walked past them in the market?

"Oh, very much alive, Grandpapa always said that Hetherington women are hardier than warhorses, such a card!"
Father is a very busy chap, overseeing the estates and all of the menials. Mother really runs the show however, "The Iron Rose of Taldor" she was called (Mother is always a little unclear about what happened to the vulgar little man who coined that phrase...)

3. Do you have any siblings or other extended family? How important are they to you? Do you love them? Hate them? A little of both? Are
they dead? Are they missing? Are they cursed by an evil lich? Do they own a ship? Do they embarrass you? Do you embarrass them? Did
they marry the love of your life? Do they steal? Were they crippled in an accident you caused? Blinded by a torturer because they wouldn’t
give you up to the authorities? Do they hunt you in vengeance?

"Geoffrey and Hamovar are absolute smashers, a girl's lucky to have older brothers like them. Father says they're a chip off the old block. Always away in the country hunting and fishing, except when Daddy is showing them the accounts and whatnot."
I barely see Geoffrey and Hamovar, and when I do they're always being ghastly and embarrassing at parties - naturally half of the girls from school have bedded them because thay all want to wed them; them and daddy's dosh.

4. What is your favourite colour? If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? If you had 100,000 gold pieces to spend, and you couldn’t buy anything even remotely useful, what would you spend it on? A menagerie of exotic animals? A magical pleasure barge? An ostentatious harpsichord? A personal chef who follows you around? A parcel of swamp land? A fossilized dire sloth?

"Oh, my darlings, Burnt Orange is very in this season, and I'm lucky because I can really wear sophisticated colours, which a lot of ladies just can't."
Black, it flatters, and hides.

“And that salad Divvy makes at that little place behind Kaegums' is absolutely divine; Guinea Fowl, poached eggs and that strange varisian sausage – scrummy!”
It is actually very yummy indeed

5. Who do you hate? Who would you murder if you were sure you could get away with it and no one would ever find out? If you could erase one
custom, invention, or practice from the face of existence, what would it be? Why?

"Now, really, where is all of this appalling negativity coming from, it's shocking, it really is."
Every humiliation and every snide aside has been stored away and brooded over; but one day they'll get their just desserts, just you wait.

6. Who do you love? What person would you sacrifice a thousand people to save? Why do you love them? Do they love you? Are you sure?

"Mother and Father obviously, and Pru, and dear, dear Connie..."
Love leaves a deb a little too... exposed. I shan't be taken advantage of like that.

7. What do you look like? Are you stocky? Do you have huge jowls? A pug nose, broken from too many bar brawls? The thick forearms of a sailor? Spindly legs with knobby knees? A scar across your forehead? A facial tick? A lazy eye? Are you missing two fingers on your left hand? What happened to those other fingers? Are you bald? Do you have a braided beard with golden ornaments in it? Are you unnaturally tall? Are you an albino? Do you have particularly (and unsettlingly) sharp teeth?

“Well a girl has got to stay in shape, hasn't she?! I don't like to brag but I have danced with many of Oppara's most gracious lordlings.”
Life is a contest I refuse to lose, and mummy pays for the most expensive magical surgeons...

8. What do you believe in? Do you have faith in a higher power? A god? A demon lord? If so which one? Are you a pragmatist? Do you believe people are born good? Evil? Do you believe in fate? Do you think people choose their own destiny? Do you believe peace is the answerto the world’s ills? Education? Conquest? Are you a patriot? What’s an ideal you hold on to? Compassion? Bravery? Righteousness? Power? How do you see yourself ?

“Shelyn, I find, reflects my own beliefs, and how could you not appreciate the deep mysticism of Desna. When I was taking my tour I just found so much to marvel at in Kyonin; and those Irorians in Vudra were so, like, deep.”
Calistria, just like everyone else.

9. Are you superior to others in your own mind? Are you unworthy of another’s love? Do you love yourself ? Do you hate yourself ? What are you afraid of most? What have you done that you are most ashamed of? What single deed makes you most proud?

“Oh,come now – I don't think any of us are that competitive are we? I think I can be happy with the small acts of charity I've indulged in, but it doesn't do to parade ones good deeds.”
Self-loathing eats at me like a gnawing demon. I have been put down and trodden on by everyone and I've done the same back just to protect myself. Any moment of innocence and joy has been used against me by my peers and elders; and nothing will ever, ever be good enough for mother.

10. How do you dress? Do you wear black satin doublets because they are slimming and hide the weight you put on since you left the monastery? Do you wear worn gray robes because you believe hiding your power is more important than showing off and inviting unwanted attention? Do you wear sparkling jewels and garish colors to make a splash wherever you roam? Do you favor the dress of your people, or scorn it? Why?

“One has to make an impression, and I do so love the atelier.”
Dressing to impress is for losers, I dress to win.

11. How do you talk? Do you stutter? Do you speak slowly, careful to phrase every sentence perfectly? Are you eloquent? Do you favour strange syntax, such as always referring to yourself in the third person? Do you speak softly, or are you especially boisterous? Do you have an accent? Do you grumble? Mutter? Prattle? Do you speak in a high pitch? A low growl? Do you only speak when spoken to?

“How does anyone talk?! I suppose I was lucky enough to go to a very good school.”
When I was young Mother made the serveants talk to me with High Taldan Received Pronunciation so that I wouldn't be contaminated by their vulgar dialects.

12. What are your goals in life? Do you want to restore your family honour? Do you want to impress the woman of your dreams? Find your lost child? Find the secret of immortality? Write a poetic masterpiece worthy of passing down through the ages? Find your mother’s long lost sword?

“Oh, I just want to have a bit of fun with all of these wonderful new people in Absalom. I suppose one day it might be nice to organise a few charitable events here and there, but for now there are too many wonderful embassy parties to attend.”
I want to be obscenely rich and powerful. Everybody else is trying to marry well but that's not enough for me. I want to walk through the heart of Oppara like a young goddess as the crowds fall silent in fawning awe. And I want Mother to witness the event.

Now for the most important question: Why did you join the Pathfinder Society? The life of a Pathfinder is not one commonly chosen. Why did you choose it? Was it your destiny? Are you trying to prove something? Do you have a burning obsession with the past? A burning obsession with money? Do you do it because it drives the tavern wenches mad? Because it drives your parents crazy? Because somebody has to? Because life is the gods’ biggest joke and you plan to laugh your way through it?

“Everybody is joining the Society these days, especially if you're off in exciting places like Absalom. I absolutely had to get in on the act. I can't wait for the girls from PA to visit so that I can regale them with tales of adventuring with swarthy warriors.”
I will find my own path to power. The Pathfinders are a means to that end.
