Yeah an no true healer yet hopfully the last player will play a healer or the it will be me with wands all day

This campaign can be done pretty well without a dedicated healer if you are careful. Since it looks like your DM is allowing 3.5 stuff if you do pick up a wand I would recommend picking up a couple wands of lesser vigor, 750 gold for 550 HP worth of healing make it perfect for out of battle healing and all right for in-fight healing (will auto stabilize you if things turn ugly). That should fit your healing needs as far as HP goes without a cleric or paladin around.

Shadow Lodge

Running two iterations of the adventure; Currently we have:

Grankoa, CG Male Half-Orc Barbarian 2
Deacon, LG Male Human Fighter 3
Christopher, NG Male Human Celestial Sorcerer 3
Treely/'Trunket', NG Male Gnome Druid 3
Drumbar, LG Male Dwarf Paladin of Torag 2 [DECEASED]
This group has just finished taking out the Bastards of Erebus.

and

Maeve,N Female Elf Druid 1
Downey, CN Male Halfling Rogue 1
Sigil, LN Male Div-Spawn Tiefling Rogue 2
Gin, N Female Chelaxian Half-Elf Ranger 2
Reda, CG Female Chelaxian Half-Elf Water-Elemental Sorcerer 2
Firenze/'Enzo', CG Male Old Human (Kellid) Cleric of Gorum 1
Thokk, CG Male Half-Orc Barbarian 2
This group has just finished rescuing Arael and have completed a few sidequests. They are a powerhouse. During the ambush, the ranger killed Shanwen with a single arrow while he was still driving the prison-caravan. The remaining Hellknights didn't know how to react when the rest of the rebels sprung from the woods, cut the horses free, and FLIPPED OVER THE CARAVAN ONTO THE BRIDGE.

Liberty's Edge

The group has made halfway through the Knot with no deaths although the Paladin nearly joined the knot as a shadow guardian last night.

Darius - Male Human LG Paladin of Iomedae - 4th Level. The party is now calling him Pal-O-Dine since the Sixfold Trial. He is not amused.

Sasha - Female Elf LE Infernal Sorcerer - 4th Level. She and the Paladin are childhood friends and he believes it is his duty to bring her into the light.

Jodan - Male Human N Draconic Barbarian/Sorcerer - 1st/3rd Level. He is working towards Dragon Disciple. At the moment, he is actual the best damage dealer with his two-handed axe but, he gets hit a lot.

Thaurer - Male Half-Elf CG Ranger/Rogue - 3rd/1st Level. Aspiring Pathfinder who uses a whip and short sword Two Weapon Fighting. Trip monster. It is an interesting combo in that he is able to do control on the battle field and the Paladin and Barb/Sorcerer wack on the enemy when they are down.

This just a little update of my group. We are now into What Lies in Dust.

  • Aula Ghival: Female human ranger 5 [FEs Humans and Undead, FT Urban, TWF, Diehard, Double Slice, Power Attacj], NG, Lost Nobility, Westcrown Firebrand. She's "fery" strong, but is a bit off on the nice side. That played against her in the play and with the association attempts towards Robahl. She's the eldest daughter of a minor noble, hates filth and has a knack for the shadow hunters. As she has come upon the old papers the Outcast King was guarding, she has donated some of her booty to her father's treasure chest. She always screamed in the sewers because of the filth and garbage, cleaning her blades with a towel after every encounter, and now again in the "throne hall" of the Outcast King. Now her focus is on track on a person named "N. Ghival" because she found a mysterious entry in the ledger that was hidden in the Chelish Crux... but until now there is no trace of this person.

  • Caleb: Male halfling rogue 3/bard 2, CG, Improved Initiative, Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, Arcane Strike, Armor Expert, Westcrown Firebrand. Caleb is "extraordinarily" agile and has a knack for merrily singing. He was raised as an orphan by dwarven parents. He worked at the Imperial Marina as lower security staff, scanning the ships' crates and barrels for illegal contents but has now resigned "to do work of more importance". He's wondering why nobody lets him get in the first row of exploring... ..."but, I'm the thief, ain't I?". He did the extra part of Monris in the play and added some amusement by singing just "the right tunes" on stage. He is still looking for "the most beautiful girl in the world" to marry him. He did a great job in the fight with the Outcast King - he invisibly plundered the chests while the others fought the "ugly thing".

  • Dorian Davarius a.k.a "M": Male human monk 5 [Grapple], LG, Dodge, Friendly Switch, Mobility, Toughness, Weapon Finesse, Child of Infamy, Rich Parents. He's "super" agile, too, but as Aula a bit slow at social interactivity. He proved to be stubborn and not skilled at socializing on stage and at the Cornucopia. Nobody knows, he's the son of a once famous family of Westcrown, living at the cliffs in the south part of Rego Sacero. He always wears his costume and his mask. Dorian, as a grappler, took the most damage from attempting to come closer to a shadowgarm found in the sewers and later on stage against the troll skeletons. He's alomost got killed himself in the figt against Sian where he stumbled upon the Flawed One accidentally. Even today he still remembers the kidney punchs delivered by that creature. *ouch*

  • Lucifero Scaevola: Male human sorcerer 4 [Elemental (Fire) Bloodline]/wizard 1, LN, Arcane Strike, Additional Traits, Precise Shot, Point Blank Shot, Magic Knack, Fiendish Presence, Diabolist Raised, Rich Parents. Lucifero is an agile and handsome young man, living in Miratanza in a luxurious lodge, who likes to smoke his cigars. As a sorcerer, he was condemned to 10 months of studying at Niclod Starweather's School for Young Wizards as a result of an intrigue gone awry. He's a little conservative and shares an ex-lover with the cleric [see below] - just for the embarrasment of all three involved. Lucifero has gotten himself the aid of Livia. This may be just the right acquaintance - for he longs to become a Diabolist. Sometimes he behaves a little odd (at least in the eyes of the other group members) because he seems to keep some secrets.

  • Servius Quintus Basilius: Male human cleric of Abadar 5, LN, Alignment Channel [Evil], 2x Extra Channel, Selective Channel, Conspiracy Hunter, Reactionary. He has a great insight on things mundane and divine, and is kind of nice to behold. Servius works at the Great Bank of Abadar in Rego Aerum, and is a sincere and straight young man. No longer refraining from fighting, he gives inspiration to his comrades and acts as counselor to the group. Servius was very embarrased to know that he shared a lover with the sorcerer/wizard [see above] but now things are settled. Servius serves a little bit as strategist. He couldn't resist to take Anvegens Blade back to Westcrown and lost his Ego check just to attack the "inglorious" ranger of the group [Aula] because she didn't do as the magic polearm had suggested.

  • Ursion Albus: Male tiefling rakshasa-spawn [DR 2/cold iron, Variant Tiefling Abilities] paladin of Sarenrae 5, LG, TWF, Power Attack, Armor Expert, Conspiracy Hunter. He is strong, dextrous, and "really cute" due to his tiger-like tail [as the ex-cleric lover/ex-sorcerer lover/now-paladin lover thinks]. Ursion tended to the wounds of the slaves on the great market in Rego Crua. He's timid and a little afraid of his newfound companions but since Calseneica introduced him to the wonderful world of adult love he's been enjoying the companionship of various interested women (they like his tiger tail, me thinks). Being pushed and shoved around a little by the group's cleric and Arael ended after he proved to be a very useful, brave, tough and loyal member of the group. He was the one that smote Sian with one critical strike trying to fight the poison delivered to his heart by a critical crossbow bolt sneak attack.

My group just finished up What Lies in Dust.

Nicola - Human paldin 7
Montolio - Human Bard 6 / Pathfinder Chronicler 1
Arisa - Human Sorceror 6 / Dragon Disciple
Capulet - Human Ranger 3 / Rogue 2 / Bard 1 / Assassin 1

Overall it has been a good party make-up, lower healing has been made up though magic items, and the lack of utiliy spells from a wizard has been covered effectively from the bard.

Overall it has been a great group dynamic, though the cracks are beginning to show, though not because of class make-up. Nope, this group is beginning to fall prey to those old, terrible party killers named 'Rivalry' and 'Ego'.

:)

The bard took Westcrown Firebrand as a trait, and is very much a 'Ends Justify the Means' type character, which is rubbing the paladin the wrong way.

I suspect it will sort itself out as the events of the AP continue on:

Spoiler:
The magical explosion at the beginning of Infernal Syndrome should force the characters to set aside their differences.

Just started last Monday.

Bernardo Gui - male tiefling Inquisitor 1 (Desna). Has a canine appearance and no ears.
Faudrin - male human Summoner 1, along with his eidolon, Mr Bitey. A former apprentice of one Mantrithor Thrax.
Desraya - female human Ranger 1, will be multiclassing into sorceror (celestial bloodline) with a view to taking eldritch knight.
Numfar - male tiefling Rogue 1. 'Classic' tiefling appearance - red skin, horns etc.
One-Eye - male human Paladin (Erastil). Ranged paladin, wears an eye-patch.
K'noc K'noc - male half-orc Fighter 1. Will be mainly taking levels in cleric (Alseta). Carries around a tower shield painted to look like a door.

Our group just wrapped up Bastards of Erebus, with some...difficulties.

It started out as:

Lupp Briteman, a female dwarven paladin of Torag. Her father is Padrym Briteman, an armorsmith that happens to live next door to a certain, unfortunate weaponsmith. Her mother was killed by shadowbeasts when she was very young.

Amber Briteman, a female half-elf bard/monk (though the monk's been dropped). The adopted sister of Lupp, Amber was raised by Padrym.

Firelace, a female tiefling barbarian (played as a vicious fighter type rather than a primitive). This homeless but very strong waif became friends with the Briteman sisters, eventually becoming an unofficially adopted friend. She knows the rougher streets and carries way too many large weapons for polite society.

Twig & Sprig, a male halfling druid and his velociraptor companion. Another 'adopted' friend, Twig was taught by druids in the Dhaenfens.

Pellaeon Urtah, a male Oracle that is aspiring to be a hellknight from the order of the nail, as his village was once saved from marauding humanoids by them. He's good, but his allegiances and mission to investigate word of the Order of the Rack's malfeasance has brought him into a bit of conflict with the party.

Since the end of Bastards is the best place for unhappy characters to leave before things start to move, Twig and Pellaeon are going their separate ways. (Mostly because the druid didn't read the PF druid's limitations like I told him to before he made a physically weak, halfling druid), and the hellknight, who just took orders and fought his devil and was insulted by the other players, having his word questioned and his test made light of.

So, now we'll have an as yet unnamed human fighter and

Vigio Magnusov, a half-elf rogue/cleric of Iomedae. Sort of a na'er do well that saw the light (picture the classic religious rogue from movies, meaning well but giving in to temptation and then asking for forgiveness, usually before the act). They're also going to be linked to the Pathfinders and the theater, to tie the party into the Sixfold Trials.

Group Originally had 8, but the fighter has left for now. I'll still put her down though. Currently Lvl 5

Lucia - LN Female Half-Orc Fighter (Was aiming for Hellknight) (Gone :( )
Mayax - CN Male Halfling Cleric of Pharasma
Splinter - N Male Halfling Summoner
Ebenezer - CG Male Human Wizard (Evoker)/Cleric of Cayden Cailean (Mystic Theurge)
Dorgrim - CN Male Dwarven Druid with Cat companion
Cael'thas - LN Male Half-Elf Rogue/Monk of Irori
Par - CG Male Half-Elf Ranger
Timmy - LG Male Human Paladin of Iomedae

My group of three just finished the Bastards of Erebus and now, at the start of The Sixfold Trial, our fourth has joined us to make what I feel is a full and (mostly) rounded group. They are as follows:

"Giovanni" - A firebrand wizard both in campaign trait and caracter. Giovanni is one of those characters who possesses more ambition and ideals than what may be best for him. He has since jumped upon Arael's group as a chance to make some real change, perhaps a little more radically than Arael may care for.

Lialda - A true cleric of Shelyn who strives to make everything beautiful, Lialda has proven to have the most level head within the group thusfar. She is an excellent actor and has proven multiple times to be a shrewd diplomat (dealing well with the insufferable Thesing).

Faust - Faust is a native son to Cheliax and indeed has family within Westcrown. He is a paladin of Erastil (which went well with the abandoned temple). Faust seems to have taken special interest with the shadow beasts that prowl the nights.

Matira - The newest to the group and only non-native wiscrani. Matria is a Qadiran woman and monk who follows Irori's teachings. She is tall, intimidating, and possesses a rather imposing visage. A tough-as-nails- figure who, at first glance, could easily pass herself as a thug or bruiser.

Sovereign Court

The group just finished The Sixfold Trials. Strangely enough, they are all female humans, which made the Six Trials of Larazod play a bit strange since every role except Thesing's was played by a woman. Here are the five PC's who started the campaign as the Midnight Roses:

Mara Starnon (Female Human Wizard (Conjuror), LG)
A minor noble and descendant of the Pathfinder Loremaster Liriam on her mother's side, she has been dreaming for some time of becoming a Pathfinder herself. She yearns to restore Delvehaven and allow the Pathfinders to regain some influence in Cheliax. Her mother was an undercover Pathfinder agent and a good friend of Ailyn Ghontasavos, but alas, she was slain by Shadow Beasts a few months ago. As a noblewoman with high intelligence and charisma, Mara naturally acts as the group's leader. The three Tarnath sisters (see below) are her servants and bodyguards, but above all, her friends. Mara's lover is Arael, and as she rises in power, she plans on taking him as a cohort later on.

Linoki Kaijitsu (Female Human Monk, LN)
Like most of her companions, Linoki comes from a noble background, although the Kaijitsus' influence has much diminished over recent decades. While her sister Amaya keeps a cheerful and benevolent outlook, Linoki has taken her family's downfall pretty hard and has grown extremely hateful of the corrupted administration of Westcrown. She spent a few years training under the Sisters of Eiseth, but left their group a few months before the start of the campaign due to philosophical differences. Even though she isn't the most charismatic member of the group, a stellar initial performance landed her the role of Larazod in the second adventure's play.

Darina Tarnath (Female Human Ranger, LG)
She is the eldest of the three sisters who are the only remaining members of a noble family that lost everything in the struggle against House Thrune's rise to power. They are now in the service of House Starnon. Darina served in the Dottari for several years, but left their ranks during "Bastards of Erebus" after a period of illness. This illness was in fact quite severe: after being bitten by the goblin wererat Whitechin, she became afflicted with lycanthropy... Darina is generally serious and quiet, and loathes the evil outsiders that plague Cheliax under the tyrannical command of House Thrune. Darina's weapon of choice is the longbow, but she also carries a greataxe.

Vanna Tarnath (Female Human Rogue, CG)
Vanna is the middle sister. She is a free spirit, outgoing and rebellious, and often at odds with her more serious and law-abiding older sister. She is a woman of many talents, being a skilled leatherworker and talented actress in addition to her abilities at combat and subterfuge. She is also the most charismatic member of the Midnight Roses. She fights with a longspear. She is known for her dashing heroics, being the one to have scored the spectacular killing blows on both BBEGs in the campaign so far.

Kardella Tarnath (Female Human Fighter, CG) {DECEASED}
Kardella was the youngest of the three sisters. She hated authority in general, and the Hellknights in particular. She was fired from the Dottari after just a few months in service, and then worked as a mercenary. Big and strong, she wielded her earthbreaker with devastating effect. Alas, her sisters and her boyfriend Ermolos were shocked and greatly saddened when she died in the Asmodean Knot at the claws of Szasmir the Bearded Devil.

Rivella Sarifeni (Female Human Druid, NN)
Rivella joined the group recently, having joined for several reasons. First, she is a friend of the druid apprentice Vitti. Second, she sensed Darina's lycanthropic plight and wants to help her go through the ordeal of the disease by embracing her animal side. Third, she is an ally of the Mother of Flies, who already is starting to foresee that the Midnight Roses might one day be useful for her own schemes. Her animal companion is a female black wolf named Shirix The Barrowood Prowler.

Kardella's awesome melee prowess will be sorely missed, but having a healer in the group will definitely be a big bonus.

Dark Archive Vendor - Fantasiapelit Tampere

1. Theon Tyrell, NG human male Cavalier from Order of the Shield
Theon was cast out from his home, mocked by his father "a bastard". Tyrell family raised him, adn his protector of the common folk. Believes that the country is made of its people, not by governement.

2.Kline, CG halfling male Arcane Sorcerer.
Former courtwizard, lost his memory when his old master was killed by the mysterious figure called Bloodmist. Kline was sold to slavery.Little by little, he regained his magic, and faked his death. Hes innkeeper friend was killed by the Noblemens guardians, and Janiven invited the avenge-ridden halfling.

3. Quiler Ghan, CG human male Inquisitor of Shelyn
Divided from his parents, Quiler wokred in several places. Fell love with music-instrument seller named Liv, and Liv told Quiler about Shelyn. Liv was then killed by Asmodean hotheads, and shocked Quiler vowed to Shelyn and liv to change the evil governement.

In my blog, i will keep journal about my campaing, and there is now more infromation about the player' caharcters. feel free to comment!

http://laiskanlinna.ajatukseni.net/

My group consists of : A Tiefling Shadow Assassin(from the Super Genius pdf) (me) named Azoth. If you've read The Night Angel trilogy you probably know what to expect from this character. I really dig the idea of wetboys from the books and was working with my DM to turn an Arcane Trickster into one when he brought the Shadow Assassin to my attention.

Rothgar who is a Drawven Inquisetor. Not really sure what his background story is, but he is the only other character that mine seems to get along with(which is funny to me because he is LG and I am LE) because he is the only other intelligent person in the party.

Blu Isle who is a human Oracle of battle. No description of him because the person playing him isnt in to the actual roleplaying part of the game.

Skullthumpa Jackson is a Half-Orc fighter who specializes in spiky things. Imagine Samuel L. Jackson as an Orc and you got this character. The player is actually a good roleplayer so he is turning out to be an interesting character.

Ilse is a Gnome Bard from the from the circus who remebers Westcrown before the diabolist took control, and is fighting to bring back the amazing place she remembers from her younger days.

Gorakk is a Drawven drunken Barbarian. No back story because the player is a noob. He is just load and smelly and carries a keg of ale around on his shoulder.

5 Players...

1) Emrah Cook - Halfling Rogue 4/Bard 2

2) Arjen - Half-Elf Cleric of Iomedae 6

3) Gruntel Stoneback- Dwarf Ranger 6

4) Mortred - Human Paladin of Abadar 6

5) Feiss - Human Abyssal Sorcerer 4/Fighter 2

We are about to begin the Infernal Syndrome.

Due to some imbalances in the group dynamics and character-mindset 3 out of four players changed to a new character, we chose to go for the "It has always been this way" approach so as to not loose any momentum in the campaign.

So now we have Travis the Wizard Conjuror instead of Travis the TWF Fighter. His catch-frase is VAST intelligence... He is smart, both the player and the character, so... :)

And we have Raz Ramirez, a Rakshasa Tiefling bard instead of a Human Ranger

Instead of a sociopathic bloodthirsty monk/sorcerer ever itching for a fight we have a paladin of Iomedae, who already had to get an atonement for not being awfully paladinlike and I suspect that he may need another one or two before this campaign ends :D

Only truely origanl character is Drake Ravenscroft

We are now getting ready to tackle the Devildrome.

After the TPK at the end of the play, the players elected to start a new group from level 1. I have been running them through Pathfinder Society scenarios to get them up to the right level to do Aberian's Folly as an infiltration. They started out in Cheliax, then travelled to Absalom for a while (with side-trips to Qadira and Jalmeray).

So the new Guardians of Cheliax consists of:

Caler 'Cal' Onete, CG male half-elf fighter 4. Will be taking a level of wizard and going for arcane archer.

Korgoth, CG minotaur Barbarian 1 / Fighter 3. Actually using the asgetrion race from Races of Hoof & Horn by SGG.

Atraya, CG human Ranger 1 / Sorceror 4 (celestial bloodline). Identical triplet sister of the late Desraya.

Strackin, N male elf wizard 4. Has a crazy laugh.

Brewmaster Reagar Destus, NG male elf rogue 1 / alchemist 3. From Absalom, the most recent recruit.

Retired characters:

K'noc K'noc, LN male half-orc fighter 1 / cleric (Alseta) 3. The only survivor of the original Guardians of Cheliax. Decided to stay on in Absalom in order to investigate the many interesting doors to be found there (player moved overseas IRL).

Deceased characters:

Jean-Luc, CN tiefling Rogue 1. Triggered off a trap while trying to disable it and took a crit from a swinging battleaxe.

Edward McGinty-Armstrong III, N half-orc Ranger 4. Took a crit from a greatsword-swinging Ulfen cleric.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Lost Omens, Rulebook Subscriber

Gonna start DMing this in a couple weeks. Right now looking like an interesting group... subject to change, but the current plan looks like:

Tiefling Paladin of Sarenrae
I'm going to let him use alternate Tiefling stat mods, on one condition-- he picks the stat mods he wants, and then I tell him what type of ancestor it implies. Fun, especially since the most optimal mods from a power perspective would make him descended from a demon. :-D

Tiefling Conjurer
Not blood-related to the Paladin, but with a shared backstory (raised in the same orphanage). I'm offering him the same stat-mod deal as the paladin, but he's most likely to stick with the default anyway.

Aasimar Cleric of Norgorber (posing as a Cleric of Aroden)
Yes, you read that right. Should make for some... interesting interactions. Also affiliated with the Pathfinder Society.

Half-Orc Fighter
Not much additional detail at this time.

Should be fairly effective, though the likely deficiency in skills is a bit worrisome. Oh well...

We're on the last module of the Council of Thieves. It's been a perilous and twisted journey! I've drawn portraits for our heroes which are linked under the name:

Varnessa Wintrish
Human Bard/Rogue - NE, diabolist raised opera performer, a typically conniving noble citizen of Westcrown.

Filken Sebhen
Tiefling Cleric of Iomedae - LG, reclusive and hideous orphan, striving for tiefling equality and to return peaceful nights to the streets.

Taleb Bolili
Halfling Sorcerer - CN, another unfortunate orphan, seeking to strengthen his dragon-blooded heritage and amass a treasure horde.

Podo
Elven Barbarian - N, nicknamed "Mr. Huge" in a traveling circus show, Varnessa quickly hired him for muscle upon his arrival in Westcrown.

Kodo
Elven Druid - N, animal tamer in a traveling circus show, sister to Podo, a ruthless opportunist.

Nearly halfway through Infernal Syndrome using fast track advancement, here is the party.

First Knight Kazandra LG 9th level Female Human Cleric of Iomedae. A sexy well built Ustalavan red head. She is the party leader and wishes to banish the night that has fallen on Westcrown. (Domains are Sun and Glory. her parents fled ustalav when she was a little girl two years later she had the misfortune to lose them to the night. She was raised by the Church of Iomedae.

Lord Aerodus Leroung NG 9th level Male Human Conjuror. One of the young scions of the noble Leroung house a black sheep due to his rejection of all what the nobility stands for. Seeks redemption for the Chelish who have been wrongfully bound to hell. He is serious and intelligent and also quite possesive of his lover Alexite.

Alexite Gallianos CG Male human 8th level bard 1st level Chevalier (Prestige class under the Caiden Cailen Chapter of Second Darkness) If Aerodus is serious and logical than Alexite is the exact opposite. He is a handsome well built man all the women chase him and drool over him. He has a very fun loving attitude torward life and wishes to see Westcrown a place where people do not have to live in fear of the night. He may seem not take his relationship seriously but he is fiercely devoted to Aerodus.

Viviana Charitou "The Widow" CG Female half elf 9th level witch. Forced into a marriage at a young age to a man who was 50 years her senior. She was only 15 just barely out of adolscence. She lost her husband five years later to prostate cancer. She now lives with her daughter and Mother in law who was around when Aroden still walked Golarion! She is a hysterical woman constantly trying to live up to her mother in laws standards of virtue. Which means be her peronal slave and wait for death so she can be reunited with her husband. her daughter secretly set her up with the children of Westcrown and she instantly stole the chance at making new friends and adventure. She also has a secret only her friends know. She is secretly having a relationship with her daughters fiance Anton who is extremely jealous and possesive of her but he loves her and intends to marry her one day. (He had problems with Alexite at the end of Bastards of Erebus.)

Hey guys... most of the way through fighting the bastards now, gonna post the level 3 stats though we aren't quite there. My group is

Grellius "Greatblade" Brakaran: My DMPC a TN human barbarian 2/Rogue 1 with a flair for the dramatic and acting as a thieves enforcer. Made mostly off the picture of the Barb in the book to be honest. Has a Large size Bastard Sword called Nightfall, a cestus made from the lashed together bones of his fallen gladiatorial enemies called Boneclaw, a switchblade dagger called subtlety disguised as a necklace, and a garrote called Persuasion worn as a belt. He's got a good stealth and lots of skills unexpected from a barbarian. Also breaking the barb mold by being soft spoken, quiet and very reserved. Has a pet bat named Swiftwing.

Rannzsfoodler MacPpartennlimnger: a CG gnome Magus 3, who often uses prestidigitation to enjoy small illusions and paints himself as the leader of our group, (though many of us disagree) even continually calling the Children of Westcrown "Rannzsfoodler Macppartennlimnger... and crew." Wears a patchwork shirt made from the shirts of those he finds interesting after he beats them.

Zelius Annakurian: a CN tiefling rogue 3. Played by a player without much on the roleplaying as on the "roll-playing", he isn't too well characterized beyond being the fallen scion of a noble house, and an extremely heavy drinker.

Thrakk: a NG half orc Alchemist 3. A bit of a pyro and playing to both the "eccentric scientist" and the "Crazy conspiracy theorist" cliches. With a Charisma and Wisdom of 7, he tends to stand out, whether from smell, rudeness, or shockingly bad judgement in battle plans or otherwise. He has a good heart and is trying to be better, but just doesn't seem to have the time between deciding whether shadow beasts make good pets and seeing if his newest potion sets anyone aflame

Tirian Strangebrew: LN human fighter 1/Bard 2, a traveler from the land of Geb, hoping to follow is his illustrious uncle Citsidas the actor in first letting his legend grow immortal, and then becoming a vampire so he could enjoy it for the rest of eternity. He wears fastidious clothes, always dark grey. And fights with a mercurial longsword in a very movement based style, performing physical acting comedy as he does.

We've got a bit of an odd bunch. But fun...

Ok, this is my group with which I run CoT. At the moment, all chars are 4th level and we will start Sixfold trial on saturday. Yeah, they are a bit high, but I run the "Price of Immortality" beneath CoT.
The way so far was: Crypt of the Everflame -> Bastards of Erebus -> Mask of the living God

Desmodena, female human fighter. There is nothing she loves more than swinging her bastard sword cleaving and powerattacking in the face of the enemy. At the moment she plans on staying on fighter.

Noorah, female half-elf Ranger. Noorah's favoured enemy are evil outsiders and she is great in picking on them with her bow. After the last adventure she bought herself a composit longbow and can't wait to use it (raised her strenght to 14 on 4th level). She is thinking of getting a level or two in druid, but isn't sure by now.

Meviss, human Sorcerer (Infernal bloodline)/Cleric of Iomedae. Meviss is the sibling of one of the greater houses in Westcrown (just forgot which one, have to ask him this weekend). Despite his bloodline and his parents, he hates things as they are in Westcrown and fled from his home. A couple of days after abandoning his home, a lovely woman approached him on the street (Janiven). After the group rescued Arael, Meviss took a level in Cleric (his former character, a priest of Iomedae died in the final battle in the Crypt of the Everflame and he wanted to have at least one level in Cleric so he thought this would be a good opportunity.) But he stays at the one level and will go all the way Sorcerer now.

Flink, human Rogue. Flink left Westcrwon two years ago, after he had a fight with his fence. Meeting the group in Kassen (which I moved closer to Westcrown, so I could run Crypt of the Everflame as a starting adventure), he returned to Westcrown but doesn't have a good feeling about it... Flink a the 0815 trapfinding, lockpicking and short sword dual-wielding Rogue. Also, he is the keeper of the party's cash pool (why they do trust the Rogue is beyond my knowledge...)

Dark Archive

Rocnar
half-orc fighter1 barbarian2
Rocnar the fighter has read a Book about Grog-Nar the barbarian (i.e. conan) and has since desired to follow his footsteps. (i.e. 1 level fighter, the rest barbarian)
Rocnar has an almost Bardic ability to inspire courage, with his endless quotes from the novel 'Conan the Barbarian'. awesome character.

Saeter
human sorcerer3
Saeter is a focused, no-nonsense magic user. His beautiful features tend to draw attention, and he gets stuff done with his profound vocabulary. crowd control, very useful to party.

Achaoish
dwarf rogue 3
Achaoish (a.k.a. Chaos in common) runs Visio's tavern. His under-the-counter trade and over-the-top rudeness have served him well. DPS, looter and locksmith of the party.

Gravlax (R.I.P.)
human monk 2
strictly theoretical monk with whom practice caught up with. He never saw the outside world until a day before he joined the table at Visio's Tavern, and as such made some critical mistakes due to inexperience with Real, Outdoors Life. (a novice player who fubar'ed his character during the raid on the Bastards' Base).
He is succeeded by Ailyn's personal assistant:

Antraxith
human monk 3
experienced monk who always thought that Gravlax' unpredictable nature would be the end of him one day. plays a high-DPS character and tactician. (oh the irony)

These members of the Westcrown Action Front have gained considerable fame with the Wiscrani and will be sure to cause more trouble for the establishment! Death to the Tyrants!

Currently, the group is finishing up Bastards of Erebus and are just now starting to come together as a cohesive unit. While associated with the Children of Westcrown, suspicions towards that particular group has made the players form their own group to act beside them called the Order of the Hammer. No idea why.

Drake Blackthorn (Human, CG Soulknife 2)
A thief who donates his spoils to the poor, joined the Children after repeated night-time break-and-enters grew more complicated due to shadow beasts.

Jakara Grizzleblast (Dwarf, LG Cleric of Torag)
A travelling dwarf (aspiring mystic theurge) who came to Westcrown and was immediately horrified by the state of living of the common people (being the disrepair of the city and general state of fear). Joined the group in a genuine effort to make a difference.

Harold Hallock (Human, NG Fighter)
Former soldier, current bartender of the Broken Arms. Joined due to gang activity (was nearly a victim of the Bastards himself) injuring his business. Slowly is finding a newfound sense of purpose in accomplishing a greater good that he hasn't felt since his militia days.

It's only three people, but they are smart players who can handle themselves well for now.

Valannis Tyr-Sog, Half Elf Paladin of Abadar 7 (me)
Morgan Hutton, Half-Orc Illusionist 7
Maximillian Farnsworth VIII, Human Urban Ranger/Skirmisher 7

We have just defeated Mazeflesh Man in depths of Delhaven. As you can see, there's only 3 of us, but we have 20 point buy, loot that exceeds our level and from now on we'll have an animal companion (he took Boon Companion feat now).

I just started running a group through CoT last night. They consist of...

Zarun: Human Cleric of Pharasma
On a holy mission to clear the streets of that which stalk them at night
Jocque: Human Rouge(Swashbuckler)
Former robin hood type thief and dottari guard member looking for a better way to help clean up the city
Batista: Human Fighter
Low level criminal thug enforcer with a beef with the city
Kayn: Human Summoner with a biped eidolon "bodyguard"
Son of rich merchant family dabbling at playing hero

RPG Superstar 2013 Top 32

Athena Jones: Human Fighter
Auldek Tunnelrunner: Dwarf Cleric of Iomedae
Karl: Half Orc Barbarian
Siltik: Gnome Summoner with biped eidolon named Snappy
Arwyn Corthus: Half-Elf Bard

Just finished CoT (looking forward to Carrion Crown!). Final group consisted of:

Durin - LG Dwarf Paladin(Iomedae) 8/Ranger 1/Inheritor's Crusader 3 - An absolute Devil Slayer. He killed every named devil in the AP along with most of the unnamed ones.

Fiosa (Durin's cohort) - LG Halfling Expert 1/Cleric(Iomedae) 8/Inheritor's Crusader 1

Shizar - CN Human Wizard(Evoker) 7/Pathfinder Savant 5 - He was completely nuts, and had a strange obsession with cheese (his familiar was a pseudodragon named Roquefort).

Bwyan Bwoge - LN Human Rogue(Poisoner) 12 - He was Durin's foil, and constant source of conflict, until a very unfortunate event caused him to lose a hand, and shift alignment towards lawful.

Bendak - NG Elf Ranger 11/Bard 1 - Despite rolling more 1's than should ever be possible, a combination of high perception, high initiative, and too many arrows to count, ended most fights before they really began.

Welp, time to add our little group of ne'er do wells to the list, I think!

We're currently up to the Trial of Lazarod, and with a 4th level Tiefling Fighter with not one ounce of acting talent, somehow I still managed to get picked as Drovalid, even with a negative Charisma Score (9). Much coaching in progress, but the ability to use Ghost Sound to produce sound-effects has Robahl and Cohorts in raptures.

So, here's the Party as it stands:

Uruk the Black (Fighter 4, Two-Weapon Specialist), Oni-Descended Tiefling with the Infernal Bastard and Conspiracy Hunter traits, takes his name from his pitch-black skin, with ivory horns, nails and teeth and has pale grey hair and eyes. Big bastard, likes to use stealth and his ability to use Ghost Sound at will to draw enemies close, then lashes out with either his Heavy Flail or his spiked Gauntlet from hiding, using their bodies to draw further enemies closer. Is looking forwards to a few days of torture with the Mayor for not paying him for a piece of 'inspired' Wet-Work before he met the party.

Very much a Thug, but is being slowly worked on by the rest of the party and has developed a very secretive relationship with Amaya, the Tian Glassblower, being oddly gentle and quiet around her when they are alone. I'm expecting to get the s&*@ heckled out of my character for this sometime down the track.

Helena Swiftsight (Witch 2/Rogue 2), Half Elf with an axe to grind with the Hellknights. Her mother (Human) was a Witch who was taken and killed by the Hellknights several years ago, and now finally old enough to have made her pact with the same Spirit that granted her Mother her powers, young Helena is out for revenge. Quite intelligent and tends to draw a lot of 'Awwwwwwws' from people as she's very small and skinny, and it's a pet peeve that everyone mistakes her for a small child even though she's 17.

Works quite well with Uruk. He uses Ghost Sound to draw in the prey, Helena stabs them with her spear, then Uruk trips them if they survive that and then it's a free for all afterwards. Ironicly, as Uruk slowly moves to being more than a jaded murderer, Helena is becoming slowly more sociopathic. Quite skilled at bluffing, which could be quite useful in the next leg of the campaign arc, using her 'Bluff' in place of the Perform (Acting) skill. Has been cast as Larazod, much to her outrage at being mistaken for a boy and to the amusement of the rest of the party ... who were then dodging Hexes for the rest of the day.

Ned Bharne, aka Barney (Taldan Cleric of Erastil 4), somewhat of a bum, oddly enough for a Taldan, and a crack-shot with his Longbow. He came to town to help put the temple back in order, following a vision from Erastil, and has stuck around to help out the Children of Westcrown, seeing it as a way to help Westcrown itself. Somewhat sanctimonious and often butts heads with Uruk and Helena over the proper way to 'handle' things. He prefers to talk things over calmly with enemies given the chance, which has led to some unnecessary fights the Children of Westcrown could have simply bypassed, Uruk prefers to either intimidate the enemy into submission or just kill them, and Helena is very much the same, although with an even bigger inclination towards outright homicide.

While the party does bicker about the means, the ends are the same for us all. 'Barney' is the team leader, so to speak, and while there is often grumbling, he hasn't led us to a crushing defeat yet. Given his relatively high charisma for the group, Barney is the understudy for the group, ready to take somebody's place in the event of an accident.

Jheng, Lady in Red (Tian Inquisitor 4 of Shelyn with the Protection Domain), possibly Helena's only 'normal' friend, one of the most openly heroic characters in the campaign. A talented actor as well as a skilled potter and a scourge of slavers, Jheng is an unusual Tian woman in that she is as bold as a man and prefers male dress, but also dresses modestly but attractively as befits a follower of Shelyn. Has a distinct lack of interest in men, but that could be either a quirk of the character or the fact her player is a Guy.

Jheng tends to default towards following Barney's orders, but she has stood up and challenged him a few times when the older Cleric has become a bit too cautious of engaging in combat. Arguably our biggest 'people person', Jheng still manages to find at least one person she manages to intensely dislike in any group, and right now Uruk is the target, given his rough ways and 'unseemly influence' on Helena. Got picked to play Tybain, which has her flipping between frustration and excitement. Wearing a bulky disguise up until Robahl threw up his hands in disgust and recast Tybain as Tybena, a woman. Robahl nearly got a Glaive thrown at his head for mocking Shelyn for 'sending me the only decent actor in the bunch, and she looks nothing like what I need!'

Tangtokl the Magnificent Lord of Illusions, Tang to his friends (Gnome Illusionist 4), is arguably the biggest nutter in Westcrown, insane Vampires and trapped Devils included. If it's possible, he's a bigger danger than any enemy, happily throwing Illusions of bright pink ponies dancing down the street in the middle of Hellknight Patrols or creating a chorus of fart-noises in the temples of Asmodeus when people start to sit down. Chaotic Brilliant or Chaotic Insane, depending upon who you ask. Gets on well with just about everyone but the most stuck-up and prudish people .... who then get 'punked' mercilessly. Has a very patient Monkey familiar that is always being dyed hideously bright colours or otherwise 'spruced up'.

Given his friendly (some would say maniacally so) attitude and penchant for spontaneously displays of bright, happy illusions, Tangtokl has developed quite a following amongst the poor and down-trodden, and the Ire of Jheng for what she sees as 'frivolous' displays of talent. Has a ready ally in Uruk for the more 'crass' displays, and has taken on a little brother role for Helena and Jheng, despite the fact he's over three hundred years old.

Looks like my player base is starting to stabilize. I've got some house rules that influence these choices too.

Tiefling urban druid

Halfling urban ranger/thug rogue

Human monk of the mountain stance

Human Sandman bard

Human serpentine sorceror

1) Martial weapons, bows, medium and heavy armor, and shields are only allowed in Westcrown with a permit.

2) Social combat rules from Pendragon Press are in effect: skill points and charisma matter a lot more.

Lantern Lodge

I have four players in the game I am GMing. We just started and just made it out of the sewers. They just reached level 2 "exploring" the sewers and surprisingly are doing quite well without any source of healing so far. They are:

Tessara CN Silent Hunter Elf Invulnerable Rager (1) & Druid (1)
Traits: Westcrown Firebrand & Lost Nobility
Background: Hails from the Turanian Hills, though originally from Westcrown. Her parents were killed by Hellknights after the rise of Thrune. She escaped to live in the hills and learned to survive on her own, though she has sworn to some day avenge her parents, and the Chelish government will be the ones to pay.

Hazel CG Water Child Half-Elf Rogue (2)
Traits: Shadow Child & Courageous
Info: Mysterious and shady she has adapted to sleep mostly during the day and do her "hunting" at night. She has seen many a fight, backing down from none, and has learned to take advantage of her opponents openings.

Barbosa N Pyromaniac Tongues Gnome Alchemist (2)
Traits: Conspiracy Hunter & Brastlewark Businessman
Info: He is a very unlikeable genius who doesn't know when not to talk. He is always looking for some new "conspiracy" to learn from and believes that there are things going on behind the scenes of everything. He loves making things, especially alchemical things.

Skithiss Paverati LN Rakshasa Tiefling Bard (2)
Traits: Child of Infamy & Courageous
Info: Raised by a family of performing artists, mainly in the Chelish operas, he has learned to become a fine performer. The only problem is that he appears to look like a reptile, so he is always casted as the "evil monster" role and is seen. He is attempting to make a name for himself as his late uncle was really big in the "recreational" part of the lifestyle and passed due to it and is he is assumed to be the same way.

Meet the Flames of Hope, who just rescued Arael as a grand finale of their first session. A daring plan and clever use of their abilities allowed this group to free their newfound leader. The group is composed exclusively of members of the minor house Starnon, seeking the well-being of Westcrown as well as their return to political and economical prominence in the city.

Dramatis Personae sunt:

Dioneo Starnon, Male Chelish Oracle of Flame and elder son of the family (by about two minutes, see below). In his young years, his father (the house patriarch) decided to send his own son away because he was haunted and brought ill luck to the family. Forsaking all authority, Dioneo fled from the monastery of Sarenrae in which he was held to seek the adventurous life of a sailor. Lately, he came back to his family after realizing his mistakes, seeking to make amends to his siblings and cousin, including his twin sister...

... Anya Starnon, younger than Dioneo by about two minutes. She's a female Chelish Sorceress of Red Dragon bloodline. It is to be noted that both twins show two aspects of fire-based abilities, and share a very strong bond of kinship.

Noravia Starnon, Female Half-Elf Bard, is their adopted sister. Abandoned as she was very young, the Starnon patriarch Aricas III decided to raise her as her own, showing a gentle heart his own kin rarely saw otherwise.

Arkkus Starnon, Male Chelish Magus, is their cousin, the first son of ex-Hellknight of the Chain Tyrras Starnon. He is believed to have learnt his craft from a ghostly master, but little else is known, even by his own brother or cousins. Favoring a rapier combat style, he has been a disappointment to his father for much of his life.

Alixarr Starnon, Male Chelish Two-Weapon Fighter, is Arkkus's little brother, and also the strongest and rash member of the family. The day Alixarr started to learn fighting with a heavy double-sword marked a renewal of hope in his father's eyes, the latter considering henceforth that at least one of his two sons could be the one he wanted to teach his secret combat techniques to, passing the legacy on.

Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Pathfinder Rulebook, Starfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Roleplaying Game, Starfinder Society Subscriber

Inspired by converting the AP to use Ultimate Intrigue (and some other books not available at the time; warning, spoilers), I was sidetracked into thinking of the types of characters to use as a play test:

Dhampir (Dayborn alternate racial trait) inquisitor (kinslayer, umbral stalker); Shadow Child campaign trait and Undead Slayer (Pharasma) religion trait

Human spiritualist (zeitgeist binder); Conspiracy Hunter campaign trait and Spirit Sense faith trait

Human (Focused Study alternate racial trait) summoner (Unchained; master summoner, azata eidolon); Child of Infamy campaign trait and Influence (Sense Motive) social trait; Martial Weapon (Rapier)? and Skill Focus (Perform (Oratory)); Eldritch Heritage (Imperious bloodline) at 3rd

Tiefling (Devil-spawn; Prehensile Tail alternate trait) ranger (urban ranger); Fiend Blood (Knowledge (Planes)) bloodline trait and The Pathfinder's Exile campaign trait

Dark Archive

Female aasimar fighter
Male suli monk
Female lashunta summoner
Male dhampir ranger
There is a fifth character but all I know yet is the class: rogue

Shadow Lodge

1 person marked this as a favorite.

My group recently finished the AP, so I am now allowed to look at this part of the boards and post in it.

Lucrezia Lagorina, human evoker and Mayor of Westcrown. Perpetually irate at the fact that she's the only Lawful PC around here.
Likes: power, being right, blowing up people's heads.
Dislikes: chumps who don't listen to her, cloud spells, physical violence.

Spoiler:
LE. She was basically the player's Harry Potter wizard in Golarion. She went on to rule Westcrown by virtue of being the only one who could stick to a plan. She promised a bright, shiny, much-less-corrupt future, with her first official act being the arrest of her own mother under fabricated charges.

Qaidis Wainthorin, tiefling monk/rogue and happily married Captain of the Watch. He multiclassed after finding out he wasn't as Lawful as he was raised to be, landed the lead role in a controversial play, and is teaching a new generation of brawlers how to not accidentally murder people while attempting non-lethal takedowns.
Likes: justice, getting the first word, getting the last word.
Dislikes: devils, dishonesty, actually having to converse.
Spoiler:
CG. He had a tendency to roll all his attack and damage rolls at the same time, at the same target, and to charge recklessly. He figured fighting crime forever would be his dream job, and that he could help reign in any of the new mayor's corruption. He wasn't as good at upholding the law, though, and happily helped her arrest her own mother. The only Good PC, and the only one to not accidentally harm his friends.

Solernos Pyreheart, formerly Bogbeard, oread druid. Worships the stars, and wanted to be one someday. Not content with merely achieving fame on the stage, once he could become a large fire elemental for 12+ hours a day, he never looked back. Currently spending his life building a tower tall enough for him to launch himself into the Dark Tapestry.
Likes: himself, fire, structural damage.
Dislikes: fireproof buildings, non-violent resolutions (because he doesn't get to do anything), asking where he learned all those spells.
Spoiler:
CN. Possibly a "build experiment" character. Due to all of us being allowed full use of the SRD, but his player being the only one to make use of it, he pulled out a lot of niche spells, but I kept asking why he uses [good] spells often, or ones for followers of Torag, or that one developed by cavern-dwelling ghouls.

Borasco Mercci, inquisitor of Razmir. Sort of the archetypal fool, he also saw it as his mission to bring succour to the people of Westcrown through Razmirism. He actually managed to set up a cult, but neglected to tell them about the extortion that Razmirites usually do. After, he left on a pilgrimage to Thronestep.
Likes: attributing things to Razmir, pointing out the most stupid course of action, helping people have fun.
Dislikes: Hellknights, non-dramatic interruptions, himself.
Spoiler:
CE half-orc bard. He only revealed his face at the AP's end, as a shocking twist to appall Lucrezia's mom. The only one who did any healing, he may have actually left for Andoran, to futz with the electoral process. He expected he'd betray his friends at some point, and that they'd kill him, but none of that happened.
