Well, it looks like my little secret is finally out. Monte and I have been chatting for quite a while on this project and had a meeting a couple of weeks ago to hash out some details. Monte has been absolutely great to work with, and his Malhavoc books have been a big inspiration for me (I am looking at you Book of Experimental Might and its sequel).
I am currently working with Monte on the inclusion of some of his rules into the Pathfinder RPG. More to come soon. If you want a preview, pick up BoEM and its sequel.

Excellent. Our desire to use Experimental Might rules has been one of the reasons my group wasn't jumping into Pathfinder, but merging the two would be fantastic.

Monte mentions his work on the Pathfinder RPG on his blog.

Many thanks for that link! That's a very good indication at this point of Monte's extent of involvement and answers my question. Thank you.

Wow. I take my in-laws to the city for a day and you AGAIN leave me speechless. Paizo, my hat (nonexistent though it be) is off to you all for such continuing stellar work and your ongoing community network.
If there's anything we need these days, it's smart people talking to each other and defusing tensions, and working on positive contributions to enrich the entire roleplaying gaming world. Thank you.

You know, I was reading both BoEM I and II and already marked the things I will incoprotate into the PFRPG ruleset! And now, you guys tell me Monte is with you on this... unbelievable!
Thanx for another fantastomatic move!
I am so happy all of this is happening, and I am here to be part of it. Ha, Pathfinder rocks, Paizo rocks, these boars rock! ! !

As a fan of Dead Gods and many of Monte's other stuff (as well as Jason and Eric Mona,) the only way this could be even more of a D&D "Dream Team" for me is if Bruce Cordell joined in for revamping the design of the psionic classes....
No offence to Bruce, but I'd rather Dreamscarred have a crack at it.
The best thing to come out of Complete Psionic? Untapped Potential.

The stars really do seem to be aligning for Pathfinder...
Especially if WotC skips Gen Con. (Presuming, of course, that there still *is* a Gen Con if that happens.) All those gamers will want their Fantasy RPG fix, and Pathfinder will be there for them...
It's a very interesting time to be an industry observer.

Ladies and Gentlemen - if this doesn't add the Paragon template to our 'Little RPG That Could', I don't know what else will... :D
These are good times indeed - Welcome to the party, Monte!!

"Monte Cook is a legend of third edition and of the Open Gaming movement," said Paizo’s Publisher, Erik Mona."
This historic time marks the crowning of Erik Mona as the new steward of the dungeons and dragons game that we know and love. This endorsement from Monte and the awesome words he shares about PAIZO on his blog confirms the Open Gaming movement is alive and well, thriving at PAIZO. My group of six players are already playing PRPG Alpha 2 and loving it. I've notified local game stores in the area about this beautiful noise in the dungeons and dragons marketplace, and of PAIZO's rightful claim of stewardship of the 3.5 legacy.
Monte - your name is revered amongst my circle of friends. What an honor to have you, sir, as consultant for PRPG, where dungeons and dragons truly continues...
3.5 NEVER DIES!
PRPG FOREVER.

[threadjack] Perhaps this says something about me, but I find myself curious as to what Frank Trollman would say about this development. It was so convenient: He's say something awful, but with enough evidence to demand response, people would fight back and I could lurk in the background and come to a good judgment about it, lazily. I suppose people actively in those fights have a different opinion. [/threadjack]

Hmmm. I am not a fan of some of the things done by the Warlock class, which was originally part of the Arcana series. (Edit: In fairness, the Warlock class was, if I understand correctly, not intended to be used in the context of the 3.5 core rules, but as a part of the entire 'arcana evolved' alternate rules set.)
I think you are confusing some things:
The Arcana Series was done bei WoC and is intended for use with 3.5. Monte has nothing to do with any 3.5 product WoC produced. The Warlock Class is an alternate PC Class intended for the use in a 3.5 game.
Arcana Evolved was written by Monte Cook and published by Malhavoc Press (Montes own Company). Arcana Evolved is an alternate PHB cum Setting Book. There is no Warlock Class in Arcana Evolved.
You can use Core 3.5 Classes and Arcana Evolved Classes side by side as their Power Levels are not so different as long as they only use Material from their on Books. So an AE Magister uses AE Feats and Spells and a 3.5 Wizard uses 3.5 Spells and Feats.

You know, I found Paizo about 3 months before the announcement of 4ed, I plopped around looking at stuff and didn't really get involved, I used to only buy D&D logoed products thinking that they were the best, oh have I learned the error of my ways. Since the only things I like about 4E is designing encounters around multiple monsters, and death and dying rules (the ones that came out to try with your 3.5 games, once I added that a one=death and a 10 is also a worsen) But everything that I have read from Paizo has firmly rooted me into Paizite Territory. I hope to one day be as well known and regarded on these boards as staples such as Lilith and (even the notorious) Trollman. I had read the AU from monte a while back when a friend introduced me to it, and I really felt that he got the paladin right with his champion class. To hear he has joined Paizo as an advisor, I think its getting hard to think with my jaw sitting on the floor in a puddle of brain melted by awesomeness.

I may as well chime in - this is by far some of the best news I've heard in a long time; not since.....well since PF-RPG was announced!
Monte has been an icon of mine in the development of D&D products since 3rd edition was released and won back my love and faith in D&D again! (which had waned signifantly during 2nd edition run). I am totally stoked that Monte is onboard. Not only is he my favorite WotC ex-member, he is now on board of my favorite RPG publisher!
Great to hear Paizo is in it to win it and they're serious about it.
Can't wait to see what this marriage brings us.
