Red Jaw Jak |

Jak here, reporting in!
A former slave rescued by the crew, hailing from the far north by his appearance. Just before the crash he had attempted a boarding maneuver and was ultimately left hanging by the rigging as their ship crash landed.
Character sheet should be all ready to go. Let me know if anything needs adjusting!

:Sunny: |

I is here!
Does this count as a look-see? (^_^)
Will drop tha' draw-back.
I be workin' on me traits. Most else be done.
Thoughts a-fore we crashed? "Got'a save Chauncy! They'll not do well in their berth!" *Scamper, scamper, scamper...*

Ebran "Stormlord" |

The ship's mage, Ebran, was a strange one. He wore flowing robes daily, over more basic clothes and armor of light mithral links. He had a strange wooden talisman he bore like a miniature shield, and wore an fierce avian mask with severe features to cover the top of his head. His only visible weapon, a dagger, rested in its sheath on his belt. When he wasn't wearing his mask, his human features were largely unremarkable, speaking of the ethnic melting pot from which pirate crews are typically drawn. In stark contrast to his unexceptional physical appearance, his demeanor was odd. None but the pirate captain knew of his unusual origin atop the mountain some decades ago, and how he came seeking work and other misfits with whom he would more readily fit in. He certainly took to pirate fashion quickly...
As the ship plummeted, Ebran looked over the rails from his position at the quarterdeck, and muttered only to himself, "With luck, I won't be the only survivor." With intense concentration, he forced the winds to rise and buffet the keel of the ship, but was unable to arrest their descent. "Hopefully at least I can lessen the severity of the crash..." he thought to himself as the winds roared around his outstretched arms and tore at his robes.

Ebran "Stormlord" |

Speaking of, Ebran brings up a fairly good point. Does anyone have any particular preference for what kind of crew we were?
I was leaning towards pirate, myself.
I put in pirate, as that was the original idea discussed, but Ebran would fit with a standard merchant vessel as well.
That said, a standard merchant level with eight level-seven PCs ought to be hauling some kind of special cargo, whereas a pirate ship with eight level-seven PCs could just be a particularly awesome pirate ship.

Unit_6 |

Deep in the ship Unit 8 was broken its body melted buy a heat conductor, Now only Unit 6 was left, and it was working as best it could.
"O dear O dear so many broken systems, I have to link the back up power unit to the 227CF-1 Link to the second panel I must link cable 010101000000011111101010110101100110110 Red AT22 to get this level rig up, O! what was that, O dear the water link is down, O dear 0 Dear...where going to crash O dear o dear"

:Sunny: |

"Am busy! Got's me friend below decks ta' helpin'!" Yells the tanned figure of the ships' scout as she struggles to make her way to the large space reserved for the ships out-flyer.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

A tall man stands at the bow of the ship, steadying himself on the railing and looking rather calm considering the circumstances. He doesn't appear to carry any weapon, just a large shield. He's handsome, with short blond hair and a powerful build. He carries himself like a soldier, always looking around for some unseen threat.
Stephen glimpses something as the ship plummets through the clouds. That's an odd place to put a city.

Ayedan Slipstream |

I should be all ready to go. I went with Unchained rogue. If that is a problem please let me know and I'll make a few changes.
I was hoping to be good people. Pirates will work but it's an evil empire we're fighting, if that's ok. In which case just call me Han :)
Ayden stands just under 6 feet tall. He has long flowing bluish silver hair. He is typically dressed in his gear wearing sturdy black pants and a grey tunic underneath. Looking at him it's hard to see where the air stops and his skin starts.
This isn't going to be good for the ship. I should climb up to the crow's nest and jump out as the ship crashes. Hopefully there will be survivors for me to help.

I agree. When yall say "pirate" are you talking about the Han Solo type of "pirate" or the chaotic evil type of pirate?

Ebran "Stormlord" |

Yeah i mean Ebran isn't an outright evil guy. Since everyone is saying they're more like Han, Ebran would be more like R2-D2 (though the party already has a construct, haha!)

Unit_6 |

pirate, pirate! no no no where privateers that's what we are.

Unit_6 |

She has not yet made herself known to the group.

Ebran "Stormlord" |

i often make characters that are quiet, and rarely pipe up. I am trying to fix that slowly, and Ebran shouldn't end up that way.
that said, i do check several times daily and a day where i dont check even once is very rare. but I don't typically post "just checking in" posts but i do if i notice no one else has posted in a few days.
i also check in on weekends, even more so because i don't have work interfering with my posting. haha

Tenro |

FYI, i'm currently primarily posting from my cell phone, dealing with crappy Hawaii hotel wi-fi (it's like they expect me to go outside or something) for four days until i fly to a different hotel with unknown wi-fi potency for an unknown number of days.
So, while i will be posting, they will be slightly more infrequent and most typically brief.
Copy/pasted to all games.

Unit_6 |

Guys I will be heading to London next week, still sorting days, so will be on off for posting.

Red Jaw Jak |

It is necessary to restate the two groups are still separated at this time.
Jak is in the urban area right now, ahead of the rest, Ebran is as well if he has followed along this far.
According to my reading, the rest of the pirates have just passed the door and are in the intermediate hallway.
Jak and Ebran are the only two hearing the beeping noise coming from the urban area.
Sunny would not be able to react at this time.
If I am wrong please feel free to correct me. Otherwise I am going to assume the above information is correct.

Ebran "Stormlord" |

Yes, i followed such as was necessary to prevent us having a solo member out there easy pickings for the enemy

Ayedan Slipstream |

Rule Number 1 of adventuring: NEVER split the party. That's in big bold letters.
I'm ok with you being in front of the party, but not more than a round or two away should you run into trouble. I'm assuming from this that we are all together now or are the rest of us still well behind the first two?

Ayedan Slipstream |

There are two reasons for that rule that I can see:
1. You can get into a lot more trouble split up that you may not be able to handle; IE the thief goes off an get's himself killed.
2. This is a group game and splitting up losses that, especially in face to face games. I know it's less so in a PBP but it still lessens the sense of group.
