I have the "legacy" version, how different is this book going to be?

Is it just an update to the remastered rules?

Crossing fingers for a SoM one too lol

Though very curious to see what might change

Will I need a whole new book, or will this just be the equivalent of an errata update (and all I'll really need are the errata notes)?

I would assume that this one will work like the G&G remaster, which we've been told mostly consists of changes to outdated terms, errata incorporation, and maybe minor examples of proper balance adjustmets. Nothing gigantic.

Considering the number of pages is the same and product description is almost identical (except the removal of the mention that wooden armors were introduced for druids, as it's not a thing needed anymore in the remaster), yes, this is like G&G and is mostly a "big errata" reprint. It's also telling that it's not part of the subscription.

Is this store page intentionally titled "Pathfinder RPG: Treasure Vault (Remastered)"? Rulebook store titles haven't included colons or the term "RPG" since First Edition.

The odds of Secrets of Magic getting a reprint in its current state are low. Considering:

1. Several pages of lore regarding the old D&D schools of magic that are no longer valid.

2. Several of the options presented in the book have been reprinted in other books:
- Elementalist got reprinted in RoE
- Runelord is set to appear in Rival Academies
- Several spells got reprinted across Player Core and Player Core 2.

If they have to replace the reprinted/OGL content, we would be looking at a completely different book.

Then again, what do I know?

Is this going to be another case of if you already own the pdf it will get updated, as it is with Remastered Guns & Gears?

Maybe, tho the freed up space would give some to new content and leeway for rework of Magus and Summoner.

Maybe it'll be a whole new book instead like someone suggested elswhere, way divine mysteries was the remaster of gods and magic.

Will this work the same as guns and gears - owners of legacy TV will receive the PDF update for free, and this product will be excluded from the Rulebook subscription?

Yes.

I know page numbers have to be consistent, but I do hope that if there's some freed up space (maybe from where the druid armor used to be), we could get a kinetecist item or two.

I think the wood armors will still be there. They are just not singled out as for druids cause it's not needed anymore, but it's still a fantasy trope that need to be filled.

Ah, true. Well, hopefully they add some more someday, even if they don't have room in this book.

I don't know, but something tells me because so much of the Secrets of Magic material has already been incorporated into the Core books, is it possible the upcoming "Impossible" book might not contain just the two new classes we are playtesting, but also might contain remastered versions of the Magus and Summoner? I mean if a remaster of SoM is redundant, it would make more sense to incorporate them in the new book, especially since we have no idea what the book is about except possibly Impossible Lands, which themselves are excellent areas where Magus and Summoner might hail from

Oh, and will there be a paperback version of the remastered Treasure Vault like there was for the original? I would assume yes, but it doesn't list it in the Products page

Guns & Gears Remastered is getting a pocket edition so I'd expect Treasure Vault would also get one. Generally the pocket editions come out 3 months after the main book, so that would mean an August release which is too far out to have a product page yet.

I had that thought too, since that book is already magically themed, incorporating the remastered magus and summoner would be a good place there

I’m really hoping they nerf the hell out of Doorknobs and Cassian Helmets this round…

The doorknobs isn't even OP. The helmet maybe a bit more OP but like eh?

I think some people might get annoyed with a 'reprint' of an old class in a new book, even if it has been remastered. Especially something like Summoner which takes up a decent chunk of space!

Any chance we might see an items deck, so we have cards for all of these wonderful items? Thanks! The same with Grand Bazaar. Please? Please? This way I don't have to create my own card every time my players find one of the things in these books? Thanks!!

>EDIT< I don't care how big it would be. I'd still buy at least 1 physical copy and the Jpeg / PDF file.

So this isn't part of the subscription? I would need to manually pre-order it?

If it's similar to how things worked with the Guns and Gears remastered, they removed it from the subscription because people complained about being charged for the same book, but if you already had the PDF, they replaced it with an updated version.

Instead of remastering it, why don't you make this book like the one from 1e with almost ALL of your magical items and items from the game inside it. It'll help a DM and the players a lot if you did this, because I was highly disappointed in the first book.

It's not really how book production work.

For one, it's already sent to the printer. Way too late to change anything.
Second, it's basically a reprint, just with a bigger errata pass than usual. That's a LOT less work than what you propose, so it could be slip in their schedule without too much disruption.
And finally, nowadays, these kind of "compilation" books doesn't sell that well anymore, what with the Internet and AoN that have all of that compiled together and updated with latest errata already. Also, as soon as another book release, that hypothetical book would suddenly become obsolete.

I second this!! I would buy both of these decks in a heartbeat! My players love the potions and talismans, magic armaments and alchemy decks. Both for handing out treasure and keeping track of what consumables the characters have and how they work. I wish I was able to do the same with all the cool items from Treasure Vault, Grand Bazaar, and Secrets of Magic. And to a lesser extent, Howl of the Wild, and the smattering of items in Book of the Dead, Dark Archive and War of Immortals.

I would actually love it if Paizo released mixed decks of items/spells/focus spells for each of these books!

Wondering If they will make higher versions of items. in player core 2 the have greater versions of focused equipment, like helm of zeal, and it would be awesome if the older stuff, like master magus ring, got greater versions too. yall think this will happen?

If they have to remove other items on the same pages, it's possible. Otherwise, I wouldn't expect it, cause the "pagination" need to be the same (like if another book say: "Item X, see Treasure Vault Page Y", Y needs to stay correct).
