At this time, we are not planning a Tales from the Vast Foundry module. Since we got off to a slightly late start with Starfinder 2nd Edition, we've already released 3 Starfinder modules this year, those being Murder in Metal City, Guilt of the Grave World, and the inaugural season of 2nd Edition Starfinder Society. We do plan on releasing a module for Secrets of the Swarm when it comes out this fall, but for the time being we figured it made sense to let the existing releases breathe for a few months before releasing any new Starfinder adventure content.

That being said, just because we're not planning on a Tales from the Vast Foundry module now doesn't mean we'd never consider one in the future if we saw sufficient interest!

I hit retry now on my manage subscriptions page and it said it processed.

Pawns are in my Library but Lost Omens Hellfire Dispatchers is not.

Paizo Plus gold has not been added for this order, which may take until after it is shipped. But last months order has not been applied yet either and it has definitely arrived.

Can't wait til these kinks are worked out of the system.

I actually have that same issue; last month's subscriber order not generating any Paizo gold.

I opened an incident with the Customer Service team to inquire.

Wondering - will there be a Keynote speech this year?

Last year there was one with Erik Mona but don't see anything in the schedule.

Just curious if there will be an update to the Player's Guide for the AP, as well. Seems to me that the Deviant feats need a bit of love, at the very least.

On the Adventures in Golarion panel in PaizoCon, Bill Fischer mentioned stated there would be an updated Player's Guide that would add 2 new deviant abilities, bringing the total number of options to 5.

Wondering if this is still going to be the case.

Any news as to when we will get the updated Player's Guide?

The odds of Secrets of Magic getting a reprint in its current state are low. Considering:

1. Several pages of lore regarding the old D&D schools of magic that are no longer valid.

2. Several of the options presented in the book have been reprinted in other books:
- Elementalist got reprinted in RoE
- Runelord is set to appear in Rival Academies
- Several spells got reprinted across Player Core and Player Core 2.

If they have to replace the reprinted/OGL content, we would be looking at a completely different book.

Then again, what do I know?

Kinda surprised it takes place in 4725 and not 4724, but that's chill.

The AP officially releases January 8th, 2025, so that makes sense.

On another note - I like how this Player's Guide added suggestions on how to link previous level 1 to 10 adventures.

Looking forward to this.

Let the speculation begin.

If you were to compare what we publish to shows and movies, my preferred way to think of these are:

Standalone Adventures: These are like movies; a single story by a single author.

Adventure Paths: These are like shows; a single story by multiple authors consisting of linked episodes.

If Paizo were HBO today...

We would be publishing the remake of Salem's Lot, Godzilla X Kong the New Empire, and The Suicide Squad as standalone adventures. Dune would be a standalone adventure, and Dune part II would be a sequel standalone adventure.

We would be publishing things like The Penguin, The Outsider, The Last Of Us, Watchmen, Game of Thrones, Succession, and Deadwood as Adventure Paths. (Those who get more than one season would be follow-up Adventure Paths, like we did with Rise of the Runelords to Shattered Star to Return of the Runelords).

Interesting.

The idea of a follow-up/Sequel adventure instead of a having to write 6/3 consecutive books could lead to a more organic approach. I think.

ONE MORE THING

I'd love to hear feedback from folks who are using and playing the latest Starfinder adventure paths, which ARE presented from day 1 as a single book, rather than multiple books.

And for that matter, Pathfinder 200, Seven Dooms for Sandpoint, which does the same.

Are folks' concerns about the disparity between volumes lessened in those cases?

I'm currently running Seven Dooms for Sandpoint. I was debating on whether to run SDfS or Wardens but ended up going with the former as I did not find as many narrative "pits" or questions that made me question what needed to happen next from a prep standpoint while waiting for the next book in the AP.

From a narrative perspective SDfS, IMO is solid and well-written; But what sold it for me was seeing the story from beginning to end, allowing me to make changes. For Example, understanding the BBEG's MO and drive allows me to improvise as a GM and sprinkle their presence more throughout the adventure via clues (I like to use the Dark Souls approach of storytelling by leaving a letter or a vision or have the PC's see the BBEG watch them from afar inconspicuously).

Now, to be fair, I also have Curtain Call and the AP unto itself is a masterpiece (IMO). The plan is to run this one with Abomination Vaults but only started prep because I wanted to see how the whole adventure path plays out in all aspects.

TL;DR - I prefer one-book APs because I get the whole picture and can plan around this versus waiting for the next book in the series and not getting hit by a surprise that may or may not work for personalized story elements or changes I introduced early on.

Will we be seeing a FoundryVTT module down the line?

I understand that Rusthenge was an exception to the norm, but having the module is such a boon from GM prep perspective - just load and run.

Anything about Agathion? Unsure if they'd make this book, as before they were Bestiary 3, but I like them a lot.

One of the developers replied on a reddit post that Agathions and the related family of monsters would be reappearing in a future product.
