Also I now see that OP stands for both Original Poster and Organized Play, so that's fun.
I realize OP is asking for advice about their character here, but since we do not have a section for Organized Play Advice, I just put it here! Hoping you all will understand!
A word for the wise, when you have personal account or order issues, your sole solution is to reach out to Customer Service and understand that it may take some time due to the nature of the size of their team and the amount of tickets they are diligently working through. It's not something we can resolve on our forums, so posting here will not push your ticket up any faster. Just wanted to let you know in case it saves you some trouble!
Ray Renner wrote: I have reached out to customer service, and I have not heard anything. That is why I also posted here. Customer Service will not answer here as we cannot resolve issues with personal accounts on public forums, but thank you for reaching out to them! They will respond as soon as they are able since they're a very small team! They're working through a lot of tickets and are doing their best. We appreciate your patience on this!
Viviolay wrote: This never got answered so I'm replying to signal boost it.
Aside, it's not clear to me if the discount for owning the pdf via paizo sync to all partners (FG, demiplane, etc) is working yet?
I skipped Black Friday due to some of the issues reported with storefront.
There are no updates, but it's being worked on! Syncing with our partners is a known issue!

I'm back! These are gone from the store because we don't have any in stock! There are no plans right now to bring them back, but if that changes, we will update!
Hey Mathmuse! I'm going to investigate for you how to do markup in these reviews, and thank you for doing them! Thank you also for the feedback of this process!
I'm investigating this for you! Hang tight while I research this with the team!
Thank you all for your feedback on the website!
For everyone asking specific questions about orders or their accounts, note that these are not questions we can answer on the forums at all as it involves discussing specifics of you and your account, which we consider personal data. Please reach out to Customer Service about these questions at customer.service@paizo.com so they can help, and please allow us some time as we are a very small team working hard to make all this right!
That's pretty weird! Have you reached out to Customer Service about it? This thread is still good to see if it has happened with other people, but you should additionally be letting Customer Service know so we can try to resolve the issue! Please reach out to them at customer.service@paizo.com for help!

however I am unable to ship the Elemental Stones with my next subscription order. adding the item to ship with my next sub adds it at full cost.
I do not think I want to pay $45USD to ship the one physical item to me by itself. I am already going to have to skip the next sub order because shipping a single flip mat for USD $45 is insane.
I am not even able to remove the Elemental stones item from the order.
This is a concern for Customer Service! Please reach out to them at customer.service@paizo.com to see if there's anything they can do about your specific order. We can't resolve order issues on our forums as the resolution could involve personal data!

lmp3.dev wrote: In my desire in coming back to Pathfinder from the 1st edition, I intend to get this bundle as it is a perfect starter with the inclusion of the primary core rulebooks, but I need a clarification.
When I tried to access the new store when it launched a few weeks ago by the instructed password reset, the resets failed. This was because I was just a little more than 5 years from my last purchase here and thus past the cut of point of any digital content carrying over at this time and the automated new site account for me doesn't exist. This was explained to me per the Paizo Customer Service reply from the email I sent them concerning this.
They replied with that I just make an all new account.
However I didn't do so yet, as there was no assurance that if-and-or-when the older purchased materials on the original account will still be able to be moved over to this new user created account, when the next stage of the site upgrade happens to move over old content to the new account when there is no obvious connection between account outside of just using the same email address.
Thanks for letting us know this! Please keep in mind this is known information that we are working on! We want to make sure everyone keeps their purchase materials!

I'd love to be able to support Paizo for those books I can't get from my FLGS, or when I have to wait on it to arrive to them rather than having to resort to that river in South America.
Having to pay 1/4 the cost of the book in shipping fees, and then customs and duties on top...it's cheaper for me to pay a reshipping service to take it across the border, and then ship it to me then it is to ship directly. :-(
It is something we are truly actively working on! Not just Canada but International shipping in general!

One small thing - although there is a tag at the top saying “Videogames” there isn’t a tacit indication that this is the AV Videogame, or who is writing it/who it is from. So from the landing page, it took a while to grok.
I'll pass this feedback on, but for the record, this is direct from the BKOM team!

You mentioned the forum guidelines a few times, but I don't see anything in the community guidelines that mentions AI generated content or images.
Could you please direct me to the appropriate section of the guidelines?
Currently written and not updated yet due to our pesky website changes. I'm letting you all know here (and a few other locations) and also being lenient because you had no way of knowing otherwise, and cracking hard on something that is in flux to being public would be super unfair.
Note, our guidelines are generally horrendously out of date. We're working on this.

That doesn't seem functionally different from your Broken Zenith workaround. The loophole (and I'll refer to is at that because it's easiest) is essentially the difference between linking to a google doc that has the generative AI content vs. linking to a website or outside source. Linking to outside websites in general is not against our guidelines (as long as it isn't spam of course, since we all know lots of the spam bots just post links to various gambling games etc, and the issue there is the frequent posting of non-Paizo related content as well as eliciting sales), but content that includes AI is. We're really splitting hairs here though, and I'm not above admitting that. But, I want to be clear that we're not limiting your content as a whole but rather the AI that is posted directly to our site.

If another company creates a product using AI tools or generated AI assets intended for use with the Pathfinder roleplaying game, is Paizo going to send them a cease and desist letter?
I'm thinking of apps like Pathbuilder 2e, a campaign setting book for a non-Golarion setting, or Tableplay Gamers' various online Pathfinder character galleries, all of which might contain AI generated content or had been obliquely created with AI tools.
Nope! We're not doing all that. If it's not on our site, as long as they abide by our Community Use policy, that's fine.
The Raven Black wrote: Ravingdork wrote: So, to clarify: direct links to generative-AI content will no longer be allowed on Paizo’s digital platforms. Under this policy, it seems the acceptable alternative is to link to a neutral, third-party site, which can then host or link to any relevant assets on its own. Since Paizo’s moderation only extends to content within its own domain, this would appear to comply with the new guidelines. I feel the easiest way is just to contact Broken Zenith to give them the link to the guide and then post here as usual but with a link to the 2e Guide to the guides instead of to the guide itself. Yup, this would work!

Does Paizo intend to similarly police 3rd-party products that may be relying upon the ORC license?
For your first question, yes! Sounds good to me!
For your second question, can you provide an example of this? I'm struggling to relate it to the conversation at hand with generative AI on our forums specifically, but that could just be my autism being rigid about conversational buckets, and I want to make sure I get on the same page as you to give you an accurate answer!

Lackadaisical Leshy wrote: Maya Coleman wrote: Maruburr wrote: Curmudgeonly wrote: This is indeed a change due to the new store not being able to gate discounts based on ownership, it was announced in one of the blogs:
Ah, thank you. Must have missed that. Hopefully my wallet will not have to cry so hard for long. Regrettably, the discount on FVTT modules for owning the PDF is gone, because our new store platform does not support gating product access or discounts behind ownership of a different product. The tradeoff is that the code-only modules, which used to require PDF ownership, are now available to everyone, as per the Foundry team! I am going to preface this by saying that I really don't like being antagonistic on the internet but this, I think, deserves some more clarity.
The code-only modules are not available to everyone now or at least not at the price that pdf ownership got you for them previously.
I purchased the code-only module for Seven Dooms for Sandpoint (after buying the pdf) for $19.99 in September. That same module is now priced at $44.99. Given how you position it here and the lack of any mention of the pdf being included in the purchase of the module on the new shop, I am working on the assumption that this module no longer comes with the pdf either (mea culpa if I got this wrong).
Now, I am sure I'm in the minority when I say that I don't actually think that is an unreasonable price point for the module - it clearly is a completely separate work stream from producing the pdf and it is very apparent that a huge amount of work goes into these modules (from new maps to custom macros to music).
Nonetheless, I need you to understand that even from this perspective you are burning good will - there is no upside here from a customer perspective: you have just doubled the cost of the VTT modules. Blaming this on a new system no longer allowing a certain kind of discount is honestly just a bit silly - you could have just uncoupled the products and reduced the... Unrelated, this was very confusing at first because I thought I had posted something that I had no recollection of. Hello fellow leshy PFP haver ^_^
Related, I'm sending this feedback to the Foundry team!

Ectar wrote: If the offending art is not removed, will this thread also be removed?
Since it links to a collection of links, one or more of which contain ai generated images?
Nope, I won't remove the thread! It's still incredibly helpful and has been for years, and that shouldn't be penalized. Just going to make sure that future guides don't have those images and make sure we provide images to be used.
Again and to be clear, we are not telling people what to put or not put in their own resources hosted on other servers. We're saying that once those resources get put on our space, they have to abide by our Community Guidelines, just like any other post. If you made a guide that was riddled with swearing and insults, it would also have to be removed as those are also against our guidelines.
I'm going to address all the issues in this one post so it's easier to follow.
We are not telling you what to do with your content in general. We're just saying that if it's on our forums, it still has to abide by our guidelines. If you want to share your content that goes against our guidelines on another platform, you're free to do so. We have no jurisdiction over what you make in general (as long as if you use our content it also abides by our Community Use Policy of course). We only have jurisdiction over our website.
Tridus is correct, this, like any other aspect of our moderation on our current forum system, is going to be impossible to keep up 100%. We'll do our best to make sure everything abides by our guidelines, but some things might fall through the cracks simply because we're only human.
Another TL;DR just to be very clear - We're not saying you can't make what you make. We're just saying that if it has generative AI, it, like swearing, insults, baiting, personal harassment, copyright infringement, and more, would be against our forum guidelines and would have to be removed from this one website specifically, just like any other post that breaks guidelines. It can however still be posted anywhere else you see fit.

I once used a piece of art from a Paizo blog of the Shifter iconic, Zova, on a homebrew document I posted for free on Reddit, with full attribution to the artist in the document and no paywall or associated monetization for the brew, and got told by another member of Paizo staff that that wasn't allowed. That was during the time Paizo was trying to get rid of the Community Use Policy and pressure third-party content creators to use Infinite, though, so perhaps things have changed since. Yup, things are changing! We're trying to make it easier to get you all access to art that we approve first and make sure the propagation of it still falls under the Community Use policy. It's going to take us some time, though, so we appreciate your patience! But yes, things are changing for the better ^_^

Don't try to enforce a principle that you endorse on others. We don't all agree. Let us make our own decisions. You can try to persuade us. But AI is the future not just for artists, but for hobbists, GMs, writers and guide writers.
If you want to keep using AI for your work that you share personally, that's your prerogative, and we won't tell you what to do, but we will have to remove it from our forums as we don't allow AI on our platform. If you want to share the work you create on our forums, it can't have AI. You can share it other places that allow that, but we won't be able to keep it here.

But since I live in Germany the package has to pass customs and sadly paizo declared the full price in the customs papers (e.g. for draconic codex $64.99 instead of $55.24). So there is a difference of 15% and I have to explain to customs how this difference could happen. Right now, I don't know if the parcel will pass customs, but it seems I have to pay the tax a second time (since it is under 150Euro and paizo already charged the tax).
I will contact CS as soon as I know when (or if) I get the package.
I am somewhat disappoint about the new shop.
Thank you for this feedback! Please contact Customer Service sooner rather than later, however, as they may be able to resolve the issue while it's in flux!

The incorrect watermark is a known mistake on their end (with the copy watermarked for a particular Paizo employee being uploaded instead of the original). I believe that they stated that the file had been updated with a watermark-free copy, but the version that I'm able to download isn't fixed.
I however only have 2 downloads for LO:DC available: the incorrectly watermarked single file, and the un-watermarked split set of files. This is correct! These are all known issues that we're currently working to fix!
