A Land Lost to Time
With danger close behind, the Broken Tusks journey through the bountiful but treacherous Lost Mammoth Valley in search of the Primordial Flame. The Tusks’ scouts will need to solve the riddles of the ancient valley and recruit a motley league of followers, all while evading the watchful gaze of the vale’s villainous overlords and unraveling a legendary artifact’s mythical past. The Quest for the Frozen Flame Adventure Path continues with “Lost Mammoth Valley,” a complete adventure for 4th- to 7th-level characters.

So is that the sadistic necromancer on the cover foreground, or the high priest of the boarish beast-god?
He’s just a cool guy who likes to collect skulls, probably likes long walks in the valley and catching snow on his tongue

PDFs are starting to go out now. The section on the deities was probably the most interesting to me.
Always excited about what is in the toolbix - sounds like some deities! Anything else for players to look forward to? Any favorite deity of yours?

There is a lot of lore there. New ones are: Fandarra, Bergelmir, Immonhiel, Skode and Rowdrosh, but there are also writeups for Desna, Gozreh, Gorum, Rovagug, Erastil...
Any chance you can spare what the new gods are gods of?
How different are Desna and Rovagug from how we normally see them?

How do folks like the three bosses this AP revolves around? Are they fought in a set order?
I’m curious about the dragon and the boar.
So, based purely on the encounter as written in the adventure, you actually:
fight all three at the same time. More specifically, the dragon is a young white dragon(lvl 9), and the boar is actually the eidolon of the necromancer, who is a summoner(lvl 7).
The necromancer is an evil sarkorian god-caller who has subjugated the local sarkorian population with his power and his alliance with the white dragon. they're fought all together in the white dragon's lair as the climax of the volume, though you deal with their minions and handiwork throughout the adventure. Seems pretty cool, you can even team up with local rebels to help get rid of this guy.

Addendum to my previous post, because I only looked at the encounter header and not the text:
You actually fight the necromancy and his eidolon first, deep within the white dragon's sanctum. Then, five rounds into the fight, the white dragon flies in as a second phase to the battle. They expect for the PC's to have defeated the god-caller by round 5, and give a bit of advice on what to do if that hasn't happened.

Adore that! I’m always glad to see that group represented in the setting.

Who did the full page art in this AP?
Page 60 is good enough to warrant a stand-alone print. Some of the best art of Sarenrae I've ever seen.
Either the artist or the writer doesn't know the difference between a rabbit and an otter. Picture and description are very different.
Maybe a lagofir is an otter + rabbit but the writer is assuming you're unfamiliar with otters?

"Lagofirs are semiaquatic omnivores that resemble a rabbit the size of a large dog. ... Lagofirs have a stout body, rounded back, large hind legs, long ears, and a short, fluffy tail. Their powerful incisors are capable of cracking through clam shells, chitin, and bone"
The picture is literally an otter with floppy rabbit ears. It's even eating a fish.
Body does widen slightly towards the hips, but front and back legs seem similar lengths.
Long, wet, furry otter's tail.
Small, pointy teeth with long canines (you know, for catching and eating fish), rather than rodent incisors.

Er, question;
Also, Calamity Caves sounds like a named location on a Fortnite map. :p

Considering nothing in adventure changes if she hasn't met them directly, I think it's more of oversight in attempt to connect villains more. Only alternative option is "she saw it, but didn't recognize it to be the artifact for whatever reason"
