With more than 350 classic and brand new monsters, this 320-page hardcover rulebook greatly expands on the foes found in the Pathfinder Bestiary. From classic creatures like serpentfolk and jabberwock, returning favorites like the primal dragons or the Sandpoint devil, to brand new menaces sure to test even the bravest of heroes, this must-have tome of monsters designed to challenge characters of any level is an essential companion to your Pathfinder game!
Pathfinder Bestiary 2 includes:
More than 350 monsters drawn from mythology, genre classics, and more than a decade of Pathfinder, with plenty of new monsters too!
Gorgeous full-color illustrations on nearly every page!
Detailed monster lists sorted by level, type, and rarity to help you find the right monster for any situation!
Universal monster rules to simplify special attacks, defenses, and qualities like grab, swallow whole, and regeneration.
Detailed lore sidebars offering additional information about even more of Pathfinder's most popular monstrous friends and foes!
Bestiary 2 extends the range of Bestiary one critters and adds whole new types creatures. Well worth the money.
I particularly enjoyed all the interesting variants of elementals, from Ember Foxes to Icicle Snakes: so much more than the old small, medium, large elementals of old. This creativeness has been carried throughout.
As with Bestiary 1, great creature backgrounds, treasure notes, and wonderfully varied unique abilities.
Definitely looking forward to more Bestiaries!

You look upon this book and see the sickest cover art and note the plethora of awesome monsters within it. Non-purchasers must attempt a DC 100 Will save.
Critical Success: The non-purchaser will buy this book and will love it.

Utterly fantastic. Loved the sidebars, the artwork, and the mechanics. It has a ton of monsters that were in Pathfinder 1st Edition making the book great for converting adventures to 2nd Edition, along with new monsters and lore. I especially love the fey creatures and animals.
The special edition version is a slightly different red than the other three SE books, I agree. More importantly, the wife, who is a both a full-time artist and a big art nerd, sees the same thing!
Did anyone figure out why the dullahan has a DC 22 for its death calling ability, and not DC 19? It has 10 HD and Cha 18. It doesn’t even have Ability Focus for the +2, which would still only make the ability DC 21. Frightful Presence is at least DC 19.
Weird, mine is way less “yellow” than yours, even if I see a slight discoloration when put beside the other books... Maybe the printer had trouble with the red color... :x

Wrong bestiary 2. This is PF2 one! :X
Weird. I couldn't access it on my phone so I had to try get to it through Google, and it showed the 1e cover on the link. I've since found the other bestiary 2 and posted the question there.

Oh, that’s weird. Good thing you found the right one though! (And even better that you weren’t a new buyer that would have ended up with the wrong book!)
I've been trying to download the PDF file to get access to my purchase but it merely says "preparing download." Using 3 different browsers (chrome, edge, firefox), no difference. Anyone familiar with this issue?

Could be a site loading issue. Definitely new to me. You'll likely have to contact Customer Service tomorrow.

Some standard ways to try shaking loose the download
a) Click "Problems downloading this file? Click here" (on same line as file name)
b) Click "Refresh Downloads" button (upper left corner of the downloads page)
c) Clear browser cache (for each browser)
d) Sign out of Paizo, clear Paizo cookies (for each browser), sign in again.
It took ages to react (only displaying "Personalizing... Click link again in 60 seconds to download" and apparently got stuck), cleared the cache, but it did not even work with a TOR browser. However for some reason, it worked now, thanks a lot! I am really excited to finally take a look at it.
This got errata recently btw for anyone who missed it. I dont think there was an official announcement, but I found out because I saw it added on nethys. Its available here for anyone interested

So while running slithering for second time I realized they finally errata'd this book and nerfed spectres to be less over powered :O Is there a changelog so I can see what other changes they made?
Is this the thread in which to post errata? Because I noted that the Spark Bat's (page 106) Arc Lightning ability doesn't have an action icon. I'm guessing it should be a single action.
Is there a current printing of the bestiary 2 with the errata on the FAQ?
No, the current printing is the first printing without any errata. I almost wish they would print fewer of each book at a time to allow for faster reprints but im sure that would be difficult for them in terms of cost and logistics.
The Crawling Hand has an ability called Grip Throat:
"A Medium or smaller creature that is grabbed by the crawling hand has difficulty speaking and must spend an extra action to perform any action with the verbal trait."

Did the author mean "any action with the auditory trait", or did they mean "any spell with the verbal component"?
It is likely the author of this monster misremembered that there is a trait called 'verbal' in the game, and that it affects all actions involving speech. After taking a look at the auditory trait and verbal component, I think RAI is that Grip Throat affects both of them. That is how I'll rule it at my table anyway.
(BTW, I'm a big fan of Crawling Hand, and my 1E adventures often featured both versions -- plus my own home-brewed Crawling Hand Swarm. I have not used them in 2E yet, but I recently acquired three Giant Crawling Hand minis that I'm just itching to use... :))

What's the difference between a Giant Crawling Hand and a Crawling Giant Hand?
Is there a list somewhere of which artist illustrated which monster? The first edition bestiaries had artist credits along the edge of the page, but sample pages I've seen of the PDFs for the PFRPG 2E bestiaries don't seem to have that information. I'm not finding it on the Archives of Nethys pages for the monsters, either.
