On the contrary, I've thought the last several: War for the Crown, Return of the Runelords, and Tyrant's Grasp, have been particularly strong.

Hello Qualidar,

I have cancelled Planar Adventures and generated the PF2 items. You will be receiving an email confirmation. The benefits of the Advantage kick in when the first item of each qualifying subscription has shipped. So as soon as this order leaves the warehouse you will be all set.

Thank you Diego.

Hi there, I posted this in a return email to the order confirmation, but I'm not sure anyone sees that. I also just typed this all out and the message boards apparently ate it. Please forgive any duplication.

On Friday I signed up for the Pathfinder Rulebook subscription. I'm not sure if it's because I was using an iPhone, but I needed to renter it 7 times before it stuck that I wanted to start with the 2e Core Rulebook, and not Planar Adventures. Despite that, the confirmation email (and everything else) is saying it's going to start with Planar Adventures.

This is, obviously, very frustrating. I was going to sign up for the Lost Omens sub as well, but it was doing the same thing, and I just gave up.

Can you please have my subscription start with the 2e Core Rulebook, and not Planar Adventures?

Thanks,
-Frank-

p.s . one of the main reason's I'm jumping aboard this subscription train is to get in on this Tier I Advantage subscription. When does that kick in, exactly?

There's a half-orc NPC in the city, but unless I'm mistaken with the timeline, orcs are unknown in the tine of Thassilon. They're driven to the surface by the dwarves' Quest for Sky in the following Age of Darkness, right?

Hi there,

Can you please take a look at this? I’ve changed the billing info about 8 times on this and it isn’t sticking. I’ve also emailed over a week ago and have not received a response. I’ve always gone out if my way to say what great customer service Paizo has, because you’ve always gone out of your way to provide it, but I’ve got to say this time I’m disappointed.

Hi,

I purchased the new Starfinder Society adventure yesterday and it's still "pending". These have always been instantaneous. Did I his some sort of computerized snag with the order?

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook, Starfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Roleplaying Game, Starfinder Society Subscriber

I just got the email that it's processed, so looks like it's all good. Thanks!

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook, Starfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Roleplaying Game, Starfinder Society Subscriber

I'm not sue if this is actually an issue or not, but my order (4692409)has been "Pending" for more than a week. I've never seen that happen for more than a day or two before, so I wanted to make sure there's not some issue with the order.

Thanks in advance!

So looking forward the the Glass Cannon take on Starfinder. They were my first actual play podcast, and I have been spoiled: nothing else I've found has come close. Still looking!

Just a note on the last question: What info is perturbing Naiaj? Presumably it is

Possible spoiler for upcoming society scenario:
the information that the weapon shipment the society is buying has been hijacked (see the description for upcoming society adventure 1-06 A Night In Nightarch).

Just get rid of their Con score and start all the others at 8 instead of 10. That balances out.

Throwing my hat into the Landscape camp (for any game that uses battlemaps/minis).

Edit to add: I really only use screens at this point for the secrecy, because my eyes are no longer good enough to read the info in typical game-lighting conditions (i.e. not overly lit). I'd love screens with larger type and more contrast so I could actually benefit from the info, too.

Ziggy for sure.

My favorite parts were:

RotR: Everything from the start up to the farm in Hook Mountain Massacre, really.
CotCT: Seven Days to the Grave
SD: Shadow in the Sky
LoF: End of Eternity
CoT: The Sixfold Trial
KM: Sound of a Thousand Screams
SS: Souls for Smuggler's Shiv
CC: Trail of the Beast
JR: Forest of Spirits
S&S: Island of Empty Eyes
SS: Curse of the Lady's Light
RoW: Rasputin Must Die!
WotR: haven't read (playing)
MM: Pyramid of the Sky Pharoah
Iron Gods: Valley of the Brain Collectors (although I haven't read The Divinity Drive yet, and it looks excellent)

i think you are grossly underselling what Paizo is capable of with a whole AP about Giants and probably Orcs.

Since when has Paizo ever had an adventure without "NPC allies that are interesting and matter to the story of that adventure"?

Perhaps the AP after Giantslayer will be a super-high-level sequel to RotR. A special 4-part AP that starts at level 16, and finishes up in #100, the double sized capstone 20th level finale!

That would be sooooo sweet.

Hi there.

I'm trying to order the Redemption Engine novel, but when I get to shipping I don't have the option of waiting for it to ship with my AP subscription like I've done with other items in the past.

Is this a mistake, or has that option been discontinued? I don't really want to pay 75% of the cost of the novel on S&H.

Thank you,
~Qualidar~

Some possible fixes:

Get rid of random encounters until their levels match up to where they're supposed to be.

Possibly take out a section of the AP you don't like.

Switch to medium XP track until they're back on track.

Honestly though, there's enough cool exotic locale APs in my backlog as is between Reign of Winter, Iron Gods, and Mummy's Mask that I think we're due for a palette cleanser first, based on orcs, or dwarves, or some other form of old school fantasy comfort food.

I LOVE the idea of those three adventure paths, but agreed: a nice palette cleanser would be refreshing.

Shadowrun, Mutants and Masterminds, and soon Deadlands Reloaded (Savage Worlds). Putting a lot of thought into a FATE Star*Drive game, but that wouldn't be until next year, the way things are scheduled.

I'd also like to run a short Night's Black Agents and Star Wars Edge of the Empire campaign, I think.

I would assume that if they did it, it would be Curse of the Crimson Throne: out of print, needs a 3.5 to Pathfinder update, widely considered one of the best, etc.

Sharn Consulting Detective Agency:

Mad God's Key
Shut In
Fallen Angel
Murder in Oakbridge
Chimes at Midnight
Steel Shadows
Voyage of the Golden Dragon (non-Dungeon adventure: published module)
Quoth the Raven
And Madness Followed
The Styes
Hell's Heart
The Weavers
Swords of Dragonslake
And something dramatic to finish it off when we get there.

We're currently midway through Murder in Oakbridge.

The player characters probably pass over dozens of locations on the ride out. No need to single out the ones that actually are important to the adventure. Why is that factory any more interesting than (for example) the giant scrap yard, the mutant barter town encampment, or huge ranch?

1 - Curse of the Crimson Throne
2 - Legacy of Fire
3 - Jade Regent
4 - Rise of the Runelords
5 - Shattered Star
6 - Skull & Shackles (tie)
6 - Kingmaker (tie)
7 - Serpent's Skull
8 - Council of Thieves (tie)
8 - Second Darkness (tie)
9 - Carrion Crown

I have no experience with Reign of Winter yet, so I'll leave it off the list

Now that we're seeing Alkenstar and Numeria, I'm not sure what I want next! I think something in Garund, most likely Geb/Nex, but I guess I'd like to hold that off until something a bit more mainstream came along first. Linnorm Kings could fit that bill, as could a ton of others, I guess.

Along the same lines of "I would like to see it, but not next", I would say I would very much support an AP in Quadira, Jalmeray/Vudra, and an all-Tian Xia path.

An actual Fight the Chellaxian Power AP would be good too.

I am so pleased to see this! I've been wanting more on Numeneria from the start. Thumbs up, Paizo!

I guess what I'm not understanding is how a NG character can condone finding and eradicating an entire race of people. I get (sorta) that the Drow as a race are inherently evil due to their corrupt nature but as a whole not every individual Drow is evil.

This is where your confusion is coming from; in Golarion, all drow are in fact evil. Without getting to spoilery for the Second Darkness AP, it's sort of hard to get into, but the assumptions are not the same as in 3.5.

I would recommend Rise of the Runelords Anniversary addition as well, although I do think that the New Dragon's Demand adventure might be even more appropriate if you could wait a month or so. I might also consider Red Hand of Doom as a good mini-campain. It's 3.5, but I'm sure someone had updated it.

In the latest Know Direction podcast, they were talking with Tim Pratt about his fiction works for Paizo, including ideas he's pitched that haven't happened. He wanted to write a book set in Numeria, but Paizo wasn't ready to have a full length book set there because they weren't ready to detail it yet. Later he mentioned that he would have a novel set in Numeria in 2014, so I guess that gives us some hints...

So, so, soooooo happy to see this. This makes me very excited to see what's on the horizon for the module line as well. Tian Xia exclusive adventure? Off-world adventure? Casmeron or Vudra adventure? So many possibilities!

Excellent. I look forward to reading them. I've enjoyed the novels, but for some reason Radovan & Jeggare always work best for me in the novellas. Far and away my favorite Pathfinder Tales characters / stories. Well done Mr Gross!

Are there any spoilers in Killing Time for the story told in the Jade Regent adventure path? I'm only 1/2 way through that AP, and I've been avoiding this so far, but I want to give in and read it! :)

APs that might get me to start subscribing again:

1) Land of the Linnorm Kings – all Vikings. No Irrisen, no elsewhere. All Linnorm Kings.
2) Alkenstar/steampunk – heavier on the steampunk
3) The fully detailed, mapped, and entirely complete dungeon under Kaer Maga.
4) Tian Xia – as another poster states: Starts there, stays there, ends there.
5) Vudra – anything! (But again, starts there, stays there; focused in a smaller/limited location)
6) Dwarven AP – in dwarven lands/cities
7) Osirion – anything! (And again, starts there, stays there; focused in a smaller/limited location)

What I don’t want to see? No more “journey” adventures. Those are dull as dirt, AFAIC.

Any of those would make me happy.

Shackled City - Flood Season
AoW - Champion's Belt
Savage Tide - The Sea Wyvern's Wake

RotR - Skinsaw Murders
CotCT - Seven Days to the Grave
Second Darkness - Shadow in the Sky
Legacy of Fire - End of Eternity
Council of Thieves - The Sixfold Trial
Kingmaker - Sound of a Thousand Screams
Serpents Skull - Souls For Smuggler's Shiv
Carrion Crown - Trail of the Beast

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook, Starfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Roleplaying Game, Starfinder Society Subscriber

I'm thinking I need a different set of music for End of Eternity. Overall I'm going to want more of a "Mysterious Jungle" than "Arabian Desert" feel.

Off the top of my head I'm going to use the old Myst and Riven soundtracks, and there's a track from The Mission that I think fits well. Perhaps some old Sinbad soundtracks too. Any other ideas?

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook, Starfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Roleplaying Game, Starfinder Society Subscriber

Hmm, tough choices:

Howl of the Carrion King
Souls for Smugglers Shiv
Edge of Anarchy
Burnt Offerings
Whispering Cairn
Shadow in the Sky
Stolen Land
Life's Bazaar
Haunting of Harrowstone
Bastards of Erebus

I haven't caught up in my reading to Jade Regent or Skull & Shackles. I would have once placed Howl of the Carrion King lower down the list, but it played great. Other than Life's Bazaar it's the only one I've run, although I did play in Shadow in the Sky.

I've GM'ed Shackled City all the way to the end.

I'm a player in a Second Darkness campaign that's finished all the way through #5 (which we'll get back to and finish soon).

I'm currently GMing the Legacy of Fire AP. We're 1/2 way through the third adventure.
