Tull Shadde-Quah |
Tull joins Menas in keeping the first watch. "In a place like this, we'd best have at least two people on each watch."
Tull is fine with continuing on but will go along if the group wishes to rest.
@Jeras (and others), Tull can use your wand for healing in the future - just go ahead and make the rolls and assume that he was doing it.
Tull Shadde-Quah |
The room is safe and can be secured. You have the option of resting as long as you like. Or just pressing on.
Sounds like you are going to take a full rest. Let me know what buffs you want to recast
Assuming that we make it through a full rest without any problems, when the group is ready to get going again Tull will again cast Defending Bone (7 hours duration, 35 hp) and Delay Poison Communal (7 hours divided by 6 recipients). He'll also use another War Spirit Pouch (10 minutes).
Temp hp from War Spirit pouch: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Menas Red |
Once everyone wakes back up, Menas spends a point of ki to harden his skin.
Barkskin for 90 minutes
GM Gustavef |
I have reset the time counter: Enora you can reroll your false life as well.

Enora - Arcanist Iconic |
Enora uses her wand of mage armor on herself. She then casts 'false life'.
False life, temp HP, 7 hours: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
"I am ready!" she says with great excitement after a good night sleep.
Tull Shadde-Quah |
Tull looks around with distaste. "The sooner we get out of this dungeon, the better! I ain't seen a butterfly the whole time we 'bin here!"
Thoriel Liltamael |
Thoriel also indicates she's keen for a rest, replenishing her spells and arcane power.
She'll recast Heroism on herself at the start of the day.
Jeras van Hidden |
After resting Jeras looks in next room.

Room 10
Deeper into the cavern, its walls fade to the color of pitch black night. The darkness drips down the walls, like an oily resin coating the place from some unknown source. The air is oppressive and pungent. Whatever lines the cavern emits a strong alchemical smell.
The surface of this chamber are lined with a viscous, unholy alchemical substance, Any flame—whether open, contained in a lantern, and even continuous flame—sputters in this room, causing it to emit only dim light within its normal bright light radius. The ebon goo also automatically counters any light spell or supernatural effect cast or used within this chamber, causing that light to sputter and end if it is already in effect. Lastly, the goo radiates strong evil.
Tull Shadde-Quah |
@GM, just to be clear: we can still see in the room, but the light is automatically dim? Or, if we enter the room, magical light sources (such as from a wayfinder) are negated?
Tull will use his shining wayfinder to see if he can identify any particular source of evil in the room and he will also, before entering the room, use it to cast protection from evil upon himself. Before the group enters the room, he will also use a wand of Bless on the party.
Also, forgot to mention earlier, Tull slathers himself with Alchemical Grease after the group gets up from its rest. 4 hours duration.
GM Gustavef |
Light sources are reduced in level so normal becomes dim light and dim is dark. Darkvision still works as normal so you can make out the size and shape of the chamber, but the dim light provides concealment.
GM Gustavef |
Moving cautiously in you make out a small side passage opening out to a worked room covered with sandstone tiles. The tiles are scrawled with writing, diagrams, and pictograms. The writing and pictures are a scrambled mess. While chunks of writing seem to detail some complex messages or ideas, the chaos of the room’s decor disorients the senses. And then some of the writing moves.
Enora - Arcanist Iconic |
Enora casts detect magic and studies the writing carefully.

GM Gustavef |
Those looking at the writing will need to be in the chamber with the red dot. Everyone else can place themselves in the adjoining chambers.
Tull Shadde-Quah |
Tull moves in to examine the evil letters.

However, reading the walls, Enora's perception of the world around her shifts by 5 degrees, and she is seeing about a second in to the future. She too is also sickened, and the slightly out of tilt world reduces her movement by 5 feet, but she gains a level of preternatural awareness. She gains a +6 to initiative and perception for 24 hours
The Sickened effects also will last for 24 hours unless dealt with

Jeras didn't read. He was just looking for traps.
Since there are no traps in the room Jeras comes out.
GM Gustavef |
Noted. Jeras is not currently sickened.
Menas Red |
Menas has no interest in reading anything in this room so he instead looks for any way to continue onwards.
Is the red dot something in the map or just to use as a reference point?
Jeras van Hidden |
"Guys, I think that will be best for all of us, that we move on. It seems to me that there is another passage there."
