Also, this scenario is supposed to be about as 'unfair' as Bonekeep, so we should prepare accordingly (words cannot express how relieved I am to have someone in the party who can deal with traps!).
I'll post a list of personal/party buffs that are available in CORE, that we should possibly consider, when I get home from work today.
Parmawembë
|
Well I don't get Breath of Life until next level, so you all can start praying now. First Aid Gloves aren't Core so those are out. Maybe I should get me a scroll of BoL (1125g).
Numair Salmalin
|
Alright, (CORE) buffs to consider:
Antitoxin (50gp)
Scroll of Mage Armor (50gp)
Scroll of Delay Poison (150gp)
Scroll of Resist Energy (150gp)
Scroll of Daylight (375gp)
Scroll of Heroism (375gp)
Scroll of Air Walk (700gp)
Scroll of Freedom of Movement (700gp)
Group 'Buy Ins' include:
Scroll of Water Breathing (375gp)
Scroll of Lesser Planar Ally (4200gp) - for a Hound Archon (at will spell-likes, permanent Magic Circle Vs Evil, and Immunity to Electricity/Petrification is hard to turn down)
Scroll of Heroes' Feast (1650gp)
If everyone contributes to the group 'Buy Ins', it will cost each of us 1037.5gp.
The other individual 'Buy Ins' are, of course, at personal discretion.
Just my thoughts on the matter :-)

Rather than scrolls we might want to consider Heroes' Feast as a spellcasting service for 660gp instead.

Getting things together, though I am going to a Convention this weekend so we will start fully on Monday. But I have put the intro up in the Discussion, so you can introduce yourselves.
I will have map links up by the time we start.

Map Links are up. Please enter your Init, Per, Fort, Ref, and Will rolls on the first slide.

Three manning Gauntlet in Core does not sound like fun. I was really hoping for a full 6 at the table. I don't even think it has a four person adjustment.
Also if either of the other tables need more players, I can play in both tables.
Blend
|
As a module it was I believe written for 4. It was not written as a PFS scenario.
Parmawembë
|
Good point, I forgot it was a module. Maybe we can do it with 4 but the lead in was, this is dangerous like Bone Keep, so I was really hoping for a full table.

I would definately want a full table yes.
GM Gustavef
|
I will put a call out to get some more.

You can use a PreGen. Most likely Seelah, or Valeros. Since you are limited to the Core. If others on the table have any suggestions.
Blend
|
Of the core pregens at level 7 I tend to think Seelah, Kyra and Seoni are the best options.
We have a cleric, ranger|rogue and sorcerer so far. Seelah might seem the better choice but doubling up on either cleric or sorcerer is no bad thing.
| EvilMinion |
GM Gustavef
|
EvilMinon you would make the 6th. Two of which being pre-gens. So Qstor and Two blades.
I think picking two of: Seelah, Kyra, or Seoni will fill out the table solidly.

Wonderful :-)
So we *do* have a full table :-D
I stand by my recommendations regarding buffs - does anyone have any objections to the 'party-wide' buffs (the 'buy-in' for which is 872.5gp each) suggested?
GM Gustavef

Sounds good. If everyone could make sure they update Info Slide
And also make sure I have your check in info here.

I am not sure on how to work that out with a pregen as the only pregens I have played was due to the adventure (We might be Goblins...)
GM Gustavef

If everyone agrees, I will just take it off the gold found in the adventure.

I am happy with the group buy-ins.
Doubtful
|
Do the temp hp's from the aid, stack with those from the hero's feast?
I'm thinking no, but figured I'd ask.
Seems like the feast was a big waste of money, to be honest.
The temp hp and the attack bonus don't stack with other stuff going on, so all its giving us is a +4 vs poison and a full belly? An antitoxin would have been cheaper =)

Hm... I'm not sure if I should be using a -2/+4 or -3/+6 for power attack.
Though BaB is only +6, when flurrying it is considered +9.
But not sure if that applies to the power attack calculation. I doesn't for qualifying for the feat, but calculating maybe?
Anyone have any insight?

Here is the FAQ entry
Monk: How does a monk's improved BAB when flurrying interact with feats like Power Attack and Combat Expertise, which have different effects depending on your BAB?
The monk uses his improved flurrying BAB to determine the effect of those feats.
