All of the rules in the book are compatible with both 1E and 2E. The Starfinder team went to a lot of effort making sure that this book is both backwards and forwards compatible!

So, I noticed that you picked up a second edition book that doesn't seem to be announced yet. I could make out the word "Contact," but it was a tad blurry.

Any comments?

Wow, already?! It is the first Starfinder lore book that will be Fully-compatible with the Second Edition ruleset that they have thus far only teased us with!

Honestly I'd even go so far as to say it's sideways compatible, too. Reading through it and everything here looks super usable in, say, a 5E game, or any number of OSR games, or even something like Fate if you wanted. Super great guys; you absolutely knocked it out of the park!

If you look carefully towards the end of the teaser video, you can actually see a significant amount of the area of one of the pages.
