The Tyranny of Unsanctioned Material Ends!

They Said we were mad to sanction so much content!
Mad! Ah ha ha!

Perhaps that's not entirely accurate—we've been behind largely because we developed and delivered such an ambitious amount of other material over the past year—but it makes for one heck of a battle cry! This week tens of thousands of oppressed words have rallied around their champion, the Hell's Rebels Adventure Path, which has led them to liberated glory with the help of the sympathetic guard captain Pathfinder Module: Down the Blighted Path and the eccentric noble scion Pathfinder Module: House on Hook Street. Together they have founded a new nation on the grand continent of Pathfinder Society Roleplaying Guild, united by the shared mission of delivering countless hours of content to players everywhere! Of course, you don't need to take my word for it when you can hear it directly from the four Pathfinder Tales heralds of the revolution, united under the banner of the Pathfinder Tales, Volume VIII sanctioning document!

Okay, that extended analogy got weird. Put plainly, we've finished the sanctioning documents for Hell's Rebels, Down the Blighted Path, House on Hook Street, and the latest four Pathfinder Tales novels (Beyond the Pool of Stars, Bloodbound, Pirate's Prophecy, and Hellknight—all of them delightful reads). You'll see the modules' sanctioning documents appearing on their respective pages imminently. All of the sanctioning documents will also appear as part of the upcoming update to the Additional Resources page. We're still busily working on Adventure Paths and Modules both old and new, so more content is on the way!

HUZZAH! Just in time for my halfling vigilante to begin his work!

Just a heads up, the gold reward for Dance of the Damned looks incorrect. Slow Track is 8,883 and Normal is 27,766. I am not sure which is correct, but one is definitely wrong.

There is an error on the Chronicle for #99 Dance of the Damned.

Specifically, the error pertains to the boon granted by Manticce Kaleekii and the associated gold values.

This is totally the time to engage on a planar adventure/help Lastwall/become an orc warboss instead of clearing Scarwall, right?

Sound like it's time for a recap episode full of previously aired footage and a voice over explaining the plot by the narrator.

Remember to include commercial breaks!

Do the audiobook versions (e.g. Audible) count as the books? (assuming of course you can backup your claim by showing a GM your audible bookshelf on a phone or whatnot)

Grand Lodge 4/5

I have signed off on a chronicle based on an audiobook, so if not we're both wrong.

I do not suppose we could get some sort of preview concerning Haunted Heroes Handbook, please?

Or you could just chide me for my impatience.

That's a really good question! I would *think* so, but...

There's no FAQ button, but I would consider this FAQ-worthy.

Question about the Rebellion Leader chronicle sheet:

Spoiler:
Rebellion Schemes Earn a Title. The language for the skill bonus is a little unclear to me.
Quote:
...you gain the title of Guardian and gain a permanent +2 bonus when using one of the following skills: Bluff, Diplomacy, Disguise, Escape Artist, Intimidate, Perception, Sense Motive, or Stealth.

Is that supposed to fall under the common boon structure of "choose one of these, you don't get the others" or does it mean "whenever you use any of the following."

Silver Crusade 1/5 Contributor

Where are the Hell's Rebels Chronicles? I can't seem to find them anywhere.

Check out the product page for In Hell's Bright Shadow. It's definitely there.

Also the boon for completing book six. Just wow. It's interesting to say the least.

Spoiler:
I'd definitely have no problem taking it but I could see objections to a boon that irreversibly kills off an 18th level character.

Based on the boon that increases gold on the same sheet, it's likely supposed to be 17,766 for the normal progression gold.

I can imagine that a number of people will look to get that erroneous chronicle. 27,766 gold at level 8 is a pretty sweet module chronicle that greatly exceeds the WBL of standard chronicles.

Follow-up question: when will this sanctioned material be available to report? They're currently not available in the reporting page to select for sessions.

I was wondering the same thing. Reporting this would earn me my 4th star, so I'm kinda hyper about it ^^

Genuine question:

If you've run/played it before it's been sanctioned, can you still get credit for it?

Shadow Lodge 4/5

Not usually. If the point is to have more material for PFS play, then retroactive chronicles kind of works against that.

Grand Lodge 4/5

I believe the question was "if I play it a second time, can I get credit for it then despite having played it before sanctioning?"

To which I say yes, as you can always not take a chronicle for GMing and then rerun it later. You can only have one chronicle for playing a scenario. You don't have to have never played it to get the chronicle.

Mystic Lemur is absolutely correct that you cannot get retroactive credit however, unless specifically mentioned by the campaign staff.

When is the sanctioning for Curse of the Crimson Throne and Serpent's Skull coming out?

Are there plans to sanction Serpent's Skull? I assumed that, like Council of Thieves*, it had simply been left behind...

*And Kingmaker, but that one might be far harder to sanction for PFS.

Mike McKeown wrote:

My guess is that any of the Adventure Paths from the 3.5 days will not be sanctioned until after they have been updated.

Actually I was just slightly confused by a number of comments implying, imo, that they'd already run/played it, and were looking forward to receiving credit for it. I hadn't considered them doing it over.

John said they are working in reverse chronological order.

Serpent's Skull has already been drafted, actually.

Another question about the Rebellion Leader chronicle sheet...

Spoiler:
Under "Rebellion Schemes: Earn a Title", it looks like you only earn a title after 5 successful Loyalty checks which can only be performed at the end of each adventure. If I'm reading that right, does it mean you can't earn a title until book 6 (i.e. after 5 checks)? If so, how would you get the 10 checks required for the bonus feat?

Thanks in advance for any guidance!

Grand Lodge 3/5

Presumably, you'd need to run other PFS scenarios where you make Loyalty checks. You're going to need to play in a bunch of non-Hell's Rebels games to level up into the remaining chronicle sheets either way.

I meant the new hardcover edition for Pathfinder. It's been a few weeks since anything else has been sanctioned.
