I don't know if it has been said before, though I am sure it has, I would love to see novelization of Rise of the Rune Lords. Or any other adventure path. But RotRL would definitley have to be the first.

I went over to Big Finish, and they're scheduled to begin releases this month (woot!). I was wondering if they would be available through the Paizo site or just the Big Finish site?

I've been waiting for these for months, and I'm super excited! Can't wait to listen to them (although I did expect them to be longer than 60 minutes each).

An Alchemist's Tale

I would love to see a sherlockian steampunk mystery set in Alkenstar. Because of the uncertainty of magic, they wouldn't be able to just use divination magic to uncover the mystery, so they'd have to actually do detective work in a whodunit fashion, maybe exploring more of the local politics and steam tech in the process. It might be a good way to bring in an Investigator as a main character. With its proximity to Geb, perhaps a female Dhamphir Investigator? If not Dhamphir, then I'd love to see a female dwarf be a main character.

Radovan is dead dead, but somehow escapes the afterlife. Pharasma makes Salim go find him. Varian finds that the only way to make Radovan not dead dead is to reunite him with his big knife. The Winter Witches have the knife (Long Story). So: Varian hires an adventuring party to go get it. The party includes: Elyana, Gad, Krunzle, Alaeron, and Luma. To get to Irrisen, the party has to take a ship that has a Naga Navigator. While they are waiting at the inn for the ship, they meet a halfling named Tantaerra, and a Goth kid named Isiem. Kagur wants to go with them as well, but they don't let her because a mammoth on a pirate ship would be just ludicrous. Later we find out that Rodrick is also looking for the big knife because (get this!) the big knife is actually intelligent AND Hyrm's long lost son. Hijinks ensue.
Also, somebody from that new dagger book shows up, but I haven't read that one yet, so could be anybody.

Or I like books about clerics and gods, where the gods are characters, A Cayden book would be cool, but I digress.

I'd like to see a novel by Amber E. Scott. A little birdie (who, incidently knows direction) told me that she would be interested in writing a novel. The same little birdie told me that she is writing the fiction for The Mummy's Mask AP.

I just reread The Seventh Execution (great story!), and I think that she could pull off a novel. Let's give her a chance!!

Thank you good sir! I don't know how I missed that. And congratulations! I'm doing some pre-graduation pro bono work in the the legal end of foster placements and adoptions, so my hat is off to you for opening your home like that. I've seen some of what a labyrinth that process can be.

That's kind of awesome. It WOULD be cool to do some kind of crossover some time. I wonder how many authors and characters we could work in without it feeling forced or tripping over each other?

I'd be really interested in seeing stories that focus on more of the non-conventional races.

There have been some incredible one-line or one-paragraph entries in various games about: VERY OLD events that still have impact on today's world, EPIC-level artifacts that perhaps even the gods still fear might be found, even incredible powerful / lucky (Cayden) / fated people.

I would love to read what actually happened -- what was it like to live during the day when the World Wound first opened up (and how), or to actually live the life of Cayden up to his moment of godhood (and beyond - how did the other gods receive him), or events as seen through the eyes of the gods when the gods themselves have done battle, or when the Stone actually fell from the sky.

It would be insightful to read about how some EPIC-level artifacts came into this world - who created it, why did he/she feel the need to bring such incredible even overwhelming power into the world, what was the painful or epic process/adventure required to create it, what was it used for, was it used for its intended purpose or stolen before and perhaps misused or even lost, has it appeared through history, does it have guardians - who and why and how.

How were the Gates supposed to work - what were they designed to do, how did they get lost or shattered, who created them.

That would be fascinating to read about, to put some depth into the wonder of these incredible events, things and people beyond just the paragraphs we see now in various games. Make us believe in EPIC.

Don't forget he has been a member of the Pathfinders for years too... probably has levels in that "Pathfinder Chronicler" Prestige Class as well.

I think we also need to see a series of books about a mortal becoming a god. (We know it is possible in Golarion)

Is Paizo trained in being Cryptic, or is it a side effect of associating with Mr. Jacobs and his Elder Gods?

I'd like to see more of Radovan and Varian. I've always wanted Dave to do a prequel novel that shows how they first met. Some other ideas that I had are:

Radovan and Varian travel to the Mwangi Expanse to capture a former member of the Pathfinder society that has gone insane and unified several local tribes as his/her own personal army. Heart of Darkness Pathfinder style.

Radovan and Varian have a Raiders of the Lost Ark style adventure through Osirian.

As for any non Radovan and Varian related material. I'd really like to see a lovecraft heavy gothic horror novel. Possibly set in Carrion Hill.

I've always wondered how the alternate racial traits came to be and how these have become just common enough to be considered a trait. In a pinch, a character reveals a facet unexpected which changes the dynamic of the encounter.

Personally I try to pick one for my PCs to see how it plays out.

Here are a few ideas for the Pathfinder Tales Wish List, and many echo previous comments:

• A story in Taldor (have not read "Dagger of Trust")
• A story in Andoran
• Hellknight as main character
• Red Mantis as main character
• Dwarf main character (but not comic relief like too many stories/movies) - maybe exploring the Darklands
• Halfling main character (but not comic relief rogue/thief like too many stories/movies) - maybe a Paladin or good Cleric to really be different
• Story in Varisia with goblins as main villains (areas from RotRL could be revisited)
• Varian and Radovan in a "Raiders of the Lost Ark" type story set in Osirion, Katapesh, and/or Mwangi Expanse
• Novelization of Adventure Paths - It would be great to see the author's take on a party going on the set story line. This was done with classic D&D adventures, and I personally enjoyed reading those stories with the similarities and differences from when I played those adventures.

After rereading Fingers of Death-No, Doom!, I think that it would be a lot of fun to have a Darvin and Fife Novel by Lucien Soulban. Dagger of Trust showed that you can have some silliness in a Pathfinder Tales novel and still have it be good. I think that following Darvin and Fife on a 300 - 400 page romp would be a lot of fun!

The traits in Pathfinder indicate a certain subset of skills reinforced in society/culture somehow. I'd like to see some of these personified to provide a little depth.

On the point of Radovan & Jeggare, I'd like them to actualy get home - It'd be really good to see them returning to Cheliaxian society. Plus I'd love a full novel Urban investigation story from them at their original point of Fantasy Sherlokc & Holmes...

Given today's AP announcement, and the tendency for R&J novels to come around gencon, I'm now thinking the chance of this coming around has just jumped...

Incidentally, there's a great memoir by an advisor to Saladin -- not my writer friend, but the one who fought Richard the Lionhearted -- titled An Arab Syrian Gentleman at the Time of the Crusades. Don't let the title fool you. It's pretty incredible and full of all kinds of great anecdotes and adventures that this fellow had in the 10th century, from fighting Crusaders, to hanging out with his Templar friends, to hunting lions and all kinds of things.

More Varian and Radovan, it has been too long.... If i counted correctly we have gone 8 books without them (counting the three books announced for the future), never again there have been so much books between their books (i think 5 books was the larger number).

I can understand holding out their next adventure in order to have them have an adventure after they return to Cheliax and release that in July-August in order to tie with Hell's rebels, i really do understand it (if that's the reason for the lack of books with their adventures) but i really hate waiting.
