FairyGM's Way of the Wicked

Game Master AGM Lemming

Are you evil? Yes you are. From a humble prison cell you will rise thru the ranks of evil to conquer the whole island of Talingarde. Thru murder and mayhem you will throw off the shackles of Mitra and raise Asmodeus in its place.

Once we handle the guards in this bunk room, Posh will be needing to see that map! Ain’t no use having a cartographer on the team, if he doesn’t get to use his abilities.

I’m like Jack Black in Jumanji!

You'll get your chance, Jack. I'm sure we'll need the mighty cartographer before it's over. ;)

GMT, how do you prefer we handle dice rolls? At a table, face to face, many GMs (myself included) prefer players not roll the dice until they're asked. But in PBP, the culture tends to be that players guess at when a roll is required and make it before the GM asks, to cut down on request/reply time. Is that OK with you?

Of course. I'll use it if I decide it applies.

GMT, I don't want to accidentally get ahead of the narrative. Does the fartpocalypse happen when everyone's gathered near the door talking to Grumblejack, or while we're putting the prisoners in a cell?

Frosthamar Map

By my read, everyone was in or very near the Mess Hall except for Dargon. No one is required to make saving throws in the mess.

Just to be clear, we've cleared out rooms 12, 13, 14, and 15, right?

Frosthamar Map

Correct.

Frosthamar Map

I'm dealing with a bad cold and not a lot of energy to post. Will keep things moving.

This still party order?

Ogre
Kid | Morthos
Dargon | Posh
Treesa | Rendylyn

If nothing else in gameplay I will move us out into the open air.

Kid and Morthos before the Ogre, I'd say. Grumblejack has a 10' reach and can attack over their heads.

I agree. And did he take the greatsword? Seems like a better weapon for an ogre than a human sized longsword.

I can't find any of our characters on the map. I think we've all been killed. Maybe it was a bomb.

yanno, looking at the maps of Brandescar, the originally designers put no doorways from the wall into the towers or keeps. None.

Anyone else see that?

Looks like there are stairs to the top. How tall is the tower compared to the wall?

I was wondering about it, but didn't think much of it. I just figured they were there because they were supposed to be. *shrugs* I was wondering how folks were supposed to get in and out of there, but just shrugged it off. Thinking it just got missed, I guess.

For the record, I wanted to try the front door also. Now, it probably is locked, but still, would've like to have given it a shot.

Male Human 2nd Rogue FO: 0 RE: +7, WI: +1. Init: +4. AC18 HP: 11/14 Per: +6 Evasion

well I can maybe believe...maybe...that they dont go through the wardens tower. maybe. but to not have any access to the gatehouse from the walls either? or to any the various towers? Howd that guard get on the wall? hmmm?

Im more inclined to believe it was an oversight on behalf of the creators

Frosthamar Map

Ladders

Male Human 2nd Rogue FO: 0 RE: +7, WI: +1. Init: +4. AC18 HP: 11/14 Per: +6 Evasion

I'm referring to in and out of the gatehouse to the walls. There's no door. Not up and down between levels.

LE Female Changeling (Ash Hag) Cleric (Theologian) 4 | HP: 23/23 | AC: 19 (13 Tch, 14 Ff) | CMB: 2, CMD: 15 | F:+3, R:+4, W:+9 | Init: +3 | Perc: +9, SM: +12 | Speed 30 ft | Active conditions: none | Alias Lyn the Red, Dwarf Battle Nun

The guard passed through two #6 towers as he fled, so unless he is a ghost, we may safely assume there are wall-level openings that aren't shown on this map. Which towers have them? Are there any on the gatehouse? We won't know until we check, I suppose, since in addition to wall-level doors and/or a surrounding walkway, the tower we're in apparently lacks windows. And fireplaces. And a garderobe. (Most fantasy castles seem to.)

GMT, did we notice ground-level entrances on the 6 and 6a towers we passed?

LE Female Changeling (Ash Hag) Cleric (Theologian) 4 | HP: 23/23 | AC: 19 (13 Tch, 14 Ff) | CMB: 2, CMD: 15 | F:+3, R:+4, W:+9 | Init: +3 | Perc: +9, SM: +12 | Speed 30 ft | Active conditions: none | Alias Lyn the Red, Dwarf Battle Nun

The muddy path from the base of the #6 tower just NW of the warden's tower to the path to the warden's tower suggests there's an entrance there.

Frosthamar Map

No need to over complicate. All of the towers have access to the wall, including the warden's tower. Same is true for the gate house.

The spellbook is of no use to this party beyond its value to sell.

Frosthamar Map

I was asked about Mitra. According to the preview, House Darius worships Mitra above all so I'm rolling with that. It reads, "They have elevated the Shining Lord to the head of the pantheon." Not sure why FairyGM put in his restriction and left out Mitra. Perhaps it is explained in the full AP. I'll stick to the materials I have available. Having stated as much, it's certainly possible I missed something. I'm not a super into the details person.

I may have also failed to acknowledge that Grumblejack took the greatsword when offered, He carries that on one shoulder and the half pig over the other.
