Assuming vacation and fun? Enjoy!

Hope you have some fun! I appreciate you posting so much in the last few days as you got ready.

See, and I like to think that all of my thoughts and questions are good ones! My wife, however, would disagree with my self assessment.
It was a perfectly cromulent question.
GM Therenger
Hold up. Now that Morthos has acted it's the warden's turn. But you'll have to wait at least another day. Going to see Manowar tonight in Reykjavik.
Posh Stemtimple
We visited Iceland back in March, and we loved it. Spent several days in Vik, before spending several more in Reykjavik.
Rendylyn the Red Waif
It happens, no worries.
Rendylyn gets +7 on Will saves, such as vs. Sleep. Ordinarily, the Will save DC versus a Sleep scroll would be 11. There's various corner cases, but it's unlikely to be greater than DC 17.
Treesa Lore
If you are asleep we don't have to fight you!
Actually, would the warden using the sleep spell on you count as an attack and end the charm?
Posh Stemtimple
Yeah, scrolls assume all of the minimums.
GM Therenger
Whether the group faces further dangers in the swamp or proceeds directly to the manor house now depends on Rendylyn. My preference is to largely handwave this short section; I see it as boring filler to round out the preview.
Also, you will all level up before you meet the benefactor, so go ahead and get that process started. Please also add a stat block to your bylines so I can reference that easily in the future.
Good teamwork and roleplaying!
Rendylyn the Red Waif
The extra time Rendylyn wants to take to thoroughly loot the prison and leave a scene of horror for the reinforcements need not take a lot of game time. I can do it in a one-post montage, if nobody objects.
GMT, when you first offered to take over GM'ing, you said you'd run the prison break and then see how it goes whether you'd continue. Is this you saying that you plan to continue as GM? I hope so--you've been doing great.
Posh Stemtimple
@GM - Please confirm you're ok with the Medium Dagger to Small Short Sword conversion. If you want, I can pay for a Short Sword, and just role-play like it's the captured one from the Warden.
At 2nd level, I get Versatile Performance. As Perform now acts for 2 other Skills, would you permit me to reallocate any skill points I had previously applied to those skills? This will come up again at levels 6 and 10...
How are we doing HPs?

If there is more gnomish literature available, perhaps Posh can start a new side business!

Given the preponderance of weapons lying around I think you can have a small sized short sword for free. Go ahead and reallocate skill points as you see fit. That goes for anyone. This is a good time to make final character tweaks. HP is full at 1st and then the better of a roll or half plus 1.

I'm 70/30 yes. If like to read the rest of Book 1 and then decide. But yeah, I'm likely to keep going.
Posh Stemtimple
I see no reason to learn any languages yet. Thoughts from the other players?
Rendylyn the Red Waif
Languages aren't a big concern for me. I would like to make sure we have all the skills covered by someone with a decent bonus, though. I believe we're missing the knowledges Engineering, Nature, and Planes, as well as Survival.
Treesa Lore
HP?: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
I'll take Know-Nature and Planes since they're class skills for me.
I'm also adding the Protective Luck hex. Then I'll really want to stay behind everyone since I'm the only one that can't use it!
Rendylyn the Red Waif
Hit Points, plus con and fcb: 1d8 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 - 1 = 2--or 5, if higher.
+1 to Fortitude and Will saves
+1 to BAB
Extra orison and 1st level spell prepared
4 skill points (Diplomacy, Knowledge: Religion, Perception, Sense Motive)
Posh Stemtimple
I'm covering: Arcana, Geography, History, Local, and Nobles.
HP: 1d8 ⇒ 4
5 it is!
Rendylyn the Red Waif
Looks like cock's back on the menu, boys!
(Javell asked me not to use swear words beyond "heck" and "darn", to which I gladly agreed for his comfort, but if no one else minds...)
Posh Stemtimple
Hate to see him go!
I doubt Grumble will stay forever. I mean, he kind of sticks out like a sore thumb!
GM Therenger
Grumblejack is not a party member. It was very nice of you to save him, but he's got his own thing to get back to. I'll keep Kid around to serve as a meat shield while we get sorted. I don't know if that means going back to recruitment already. I'd rather not but the party suddenly feels very finesse.
Posh Stemtimple
Probably the GM needs to contact Paizo and get them to change ownership of the game. Otherwise members, and links and such can't be amended by any of us.
Posh Stemtimple
Or make a new game? Maybe then Posh can join, and it will show on my campaigns list!
Treesa Lore
We are leaving the prison, right? A new ‘recruit’ could join us at the next place….
I don’t like the idea of ‘meat shields’ being npc’s, unless they are hirelings…. And I didn’t think we’d have the ogre with us. We’ll have enough trouble with stealth without him. With him we might as well forget the word!
Rendylyn the Red Waif
Could we consider adding two new PCs to the game, to bring us back up to our original numbers of six plus the GM? 'Twas I that suggested FairyGM start with six players rather than five, and given our attrition rate it seems like it was a good call.
Perhaps the new player(s) could be arriving at the prison as we depart, and we could overcome their guards together, or perhaps we could find them locked up in an outer tower cell we only just found when we searched the place. The AP really seems to emphasize the Brandenscar start, what with the crime traits and all, and we still have a little window here.
In any case, there were a number of ready recruits who were turned down who might leap at the chance to join late. Some of them were front-line fighters. I'm not convinced we need a front-line fighter--Pathfinder isn't WoW or D&D 4th edition, tanks aren't really a thing--but if we want one or more for thematic reasons, it's easy enough. Starting a new campaign, or petitioning for control of this one, then running another recruitment would also be fine with me.
Posh Stemtimple
Bring on the brute squad!
What we don't need is a smart-ass gnome! That spot is filled!
Posh Stemtimple
That leaves us needing Engineering and Survival out of the replacements? An odd pairing of skills, but if we get two replacements...
Posh Stemtimple
As an aside, Posh has no armor in his initial kit, because from an RP perspective, he never expected to need it. The plan is to pick it up as we go along.
Treesa Lore
I really liked Morthos' anti-paladin build. Between him and Rendylyn we had EVIL, all caps!
Treesa is very much a support character right now, focused on Buff/Debuff. She doesn't get truly wicked for several more levels.
I agree that we don't need "tanks". But we have arcane and divine casting covered, face and skills. If Treesa has to fight we're really in trouble!
Posh Stemtimple
We may not need "tanks," but we certainly need some damage dealers!
A Dhampir Anti-Paladin is what we need. Let him use his lay on hands as a swift action heal to himself and such, just like a standard paladin.
Posh Stemtimple
And an archer ranger! With favored enemy of “Mitrans!”
Rendylyn the Red Waif
On reflection, it would be nice for Dargon to get a new flanking partner, but I feel we shouldn't be too finicky about builds. So long as we get good RP and frequent posts, I'll be happy with any new PC(s).
Before we recruit, we might want to revisit FairyGM's plans for the campaign and see if we're all still on board with them. The big one is the mythic tiers. Any adventures after we go mythic would have to be substantially reworked so that the encounters are still challenging for us, which would mean a lot of extra work for the GM. I'm fine with keeping them or ditching them, just think we should clarify.
GM Therenger
I'm sure Morthos would appreciate if he was properly inactivated. I sent Paizo an email to get this game switched over to me. If you're following this thread, FairyGM, I wish you all the best and I hope your health situation has significantly improved. It's still your game whenever you want to come back and run it.
I need a week or two to read the rest of book 1 and get organized, during which time I'll reopen recruitment and hopefully we'll attract a couple great characters to jump into the game.
I'll reiterate my preference is to be able to play Kid as a proper PC at some point, and to hand off GM duties for a future book. It sounded like Treesa may be interested in taking a turn at the helm down the road. Anyone else?
Also, I have no interest in running a mythic campaign. You guys are going to be powerful enough as it is.
Posh Stemtimple
Not doing Mythic is fine with me.
GM Wicked Treesa
Would I like to take a round of GMing this group!?! LOL!!!
I agree to no on Mythic. Every mythic game I've played or "watched" has turned into "rocket-tag" with any real encounters being nothing for the party.
I did like the idea of a template though. Maybe keep it at +1 CR though so it doesn't add a lot of power? Gain around 5th or 6th level?
Here's a dangerous one.... Devil-Bound
But, if you guys don't like that though, I'm fine staying on track.
GM Therenger
In lieu of reopening Recruitment, would anyone be opposed to me inviting FangDragon into the game? He submitted Rayse.
At the risk of making the party OP with 2 additions, I would also consider Vormog Lough.
Posh Stemtimple
An Inquisitor and an Antipaladin certainly help to shore up our front line! And they bring other utilities as well.
GM Wicked Treesa
Looks good. I like both of them.
Do you want to continue GMing the next part? Or do you want to switch off. I ask only because I did get the book but haven't read it. Don't want to spoil the surprises.... I've never played through this or even read through others playing it.
If I'm to GM it I'll need a little time to prep things. I will use Slides on Google for maps. I just don't know roll20 well enough!
Can we get a vote on a 1 CR template at 5th level? I'm for it. Posh seemed interested. ?? I'd recommend staying away from templates that turn your character into something other than what they are, different race, etc.
