Let's discuss out-of-character stuff here.

She's an oversized songbird. I believe the image I've been using for her token is an oriole.
She also just leveled up from GM credit, so I should change that on the listing.

Hello, everyone! Welcome to the game. Before we begin, here are some important instructions for a smooth experience:
1. Sign up on the Sign-Up Sheet (linked above) and provide Player Name, Character Name, Organized Play Number, Character Number, etc. We'll use the RPG Chronicles website for this.
2. Fill in your character and minion tokens, and marching order on page 2 of Slides and Encounter Maps (linked above). Also, update your character’s basic information, core stats, and skill modifiers on Google Sheets Macros (linked above).
3. Ensure your character's stat block/header includes HP, AC, Saving Throws (Fortitude, Reflex, Will), Perception bonus, and Speed.
4. Area templates (burst, cone, emanation, line) are on pages 3-7 of the Slides and can be copied to the Encounter Map.
5. Post regularly, preferably at least once daily and once on weekends. Follow the Organized Play Foundation Community Standards: "Explore, Report, Cooperate." Non-consensual character conflict is prohibited and can result in Infamy points.
6. I will roll initiative checks and use a block initiative system. PCs in the active block can post their actions, resolved in posting order. I will roll secret checks; players roll saving throws.
7. Use these symbols in combat posts: ◆ for single action, ◆◆ for two actions, ◆◆◆ for three actions, ↺ for reaction, ◇ for free action.
8. We’ll use the X-Card for safety. If something makes you uncomfortable, include '[X-Card]' in your post or message me privately.
9. Regular posting keeps the game flowing. Kindly inform us of any absences. Provide botting instructions if you'll be away.
10. Remember, the goal is to have fun! :)
Thank you, and let's embark on this exciting adventure!

I've been quite busy over the past few weeks, but I’ve now linked the Sign-Up Sheet (RPG Chronicles), Macros, and Slides above. When you have the time, please fill them out before we start the game. You’re also welcome to post your introductions in the gameplay thread in advance, so we can jump right in once we begin.
If anyone has GM glyphs, now is your chance to share them to others for extra hero point.

I have one glyph, which should result in everyone having a second hero point.
This is Cur's first scenario (though he has a few XP from GMing and "can we fit this into an hour?" games), so his personality will be developing as we go. As a half-dwarf half-elf, he has been the victim of racism from both sides of his lineage (made clear if you translate his full name). I do not know if this will manifest as more than general grumpiness, but please let me know if I am bothering anyone so I can turn it down.
(The fact that everyone seems to want to stand far behind him likely won't help.)

Giles was actually in front of everyone else before you stepped up. As a tiny creature he's not much of an obstacle should anything larger attempt to move past him so I didn't bother to be right up front. I've changed his position. Try to avoid stepping on him.

Just a quick clarification on "Forbidden Thought" spell - it acts only on a type of action, eg. Strike (used just now), Cast a Spell, Stride, etc - it doesn't depend who is the target of that action. Also it doesn't prevent, it only deters. A more ambitious creature may go ahead despite the risk.

GM Frost |

I see. That makes more sense.

![]() |

Ooh, Whistle Wit has a compressed air cutting tool.
If Blue gets a dying ↺Strike could the implanted Forbidden Thought also make its head explode? Mostly academic...

GM Frost |

Ah yes, that should happen. Thanks for the reminder!

![]() |

High in the Mountain has Natural Medicine, but if it proved necessary Whistle would use one or both of her scrolls of heal (and will prepare more heals tomorrow).

GM Frost |

Because the Unsealed Way location is already fully explored, we will just wait out for the next Act which will be announced in a day or two, anyway.
On the other hand, kindly choose two PCs to receive a hero point each!

GM Frost |

One hero point each goes to Whistle and Random, No Repeat: 3d5 ⇒ (5, 5, 1) = 11 Lissa and Koi!

![]() |

Whistle Wit will Refocus.
She can't heal both damaged characters without dipping into her scrolls. Which she can do, that's why she has them, but maybe one of our party members who's trained in medicine wants to try first? I realize we don't have anybody especially good in medicine, but it's worth a shot.
(You know you should go to bed when you type "sicked" three times in a row and don't even notice until after the third one.)

![]() |

Oh, there were three damaged characters. Counting is hard.
Well, I think that makes it worthwhile to cast my other prepped heal with three actions, healing everybody healing: 1d8 ⇒ 6.
Oh good, I think that's almost perfect there.
EtA: Yes, everybody is fully healed except Giles, who's only down one.

Posting this here to track my gold expenditures thus far.
Giles purchases: 2 scrolls of heal 1, one lesser antiplague. Total 11 gold.

Only down by one is good enough for me. Ready to go.

Lissa unleashes a Force Barrage on the nearest foe. When did we last rest? I am not sure how many spells I have left. Yay, taking turns once per day.
[dice=Force Barrage]3d4+3
Our rest was on Mar 20. This is your third time to cast force barrage since then. What I usually do for my wizard is list his spells on his character page like this:
Arcane Wizard Spells DC 27, attack +17;
5th Howling Blizzard, Wall of Stone, Impaling Spike
4th Fireball (4), Invisibility (4), Wall of Fire, Summon Animal (4)
3rd Fireball, Haste, Slow, Lightning Bolt
2nd Acid Grip, Breathe Fire (2)-empower staff to 7 charges, Tailwind (2), False Vitality
1st Goblin Pox, Fear, Force Barrage, Enfeeble
Cantrips (5th) Shield, Caustic Blast, Detect Magic, Telekinetic Projectile, Needle Darts, Dancing Lights, Ignition-staff, Tangle Vine-Spellheart, Prestidigitation-Hat, Message-ring
Focus Spells 1 Focus Point, DC 27; 5th Force Bolt
Once a spell is cast I edit the page with {s}spellname{/s} with brackets instead of braces to create the strikethrough so {s}fireball{/s} reads as fireball.

GM Frost |

Lissa, I can allow your force barrage if it is from your bonded item: ◇ Drain Bonded Item. Let me know what you think.

GM Frost |

Thank you to everyone for playing! Kindly check your details on the Sign-Up Sheet HERE before I report the game to HQ and send a link to your chronicles.

Crafting DC 14: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Cur sells 4 sp worth of genuine imitation dwarven relics.

Academia Lore: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Success. 5 cp x 8 days = 4 gp
And one scroll of 1st-rank heal returned to Giles.

![]() |

Lissa immediately begins studying the royal families associated with the dwarves and cross-references her sources with images found in the city.
Heraldry Lore: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Performance: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Koi choreographs and presents a short one-fish play, "Stray Dwarves: A New Hole", chronicling the path to Raseri Kanton.

GM Frost |

Silly question- may we use hero points on dayjob?
I don't think so.

GM Frost |

I still need details from High in the Mountains on the sign-up sheet. Don't forget to include email address for the voucher prize if you get picked.

GM Frost |

Here are your chronicles. The game is also reported to HQ. The gamethread will be archived by weekend if there are no issues. Thank you for playing the game!

Chronicle looks good. Thanks for a great game (and putting up with my grumpy little dwelf), especially Frozen Frost for running!
