Ketsu-kiba intimidates the birds and casts a spell

Fort save, pink, DC33: 1d20 + 28 - 1 ⇒ (12) + 28 - 1 = 39 -11 and +11 temp HP

Moonlight shoots and arrow and then casts a spell of his own. His bolt hits true, Ketsu-kiba strikes but she misses.

Then he casts his spell

Fort save, pink, DC33: 1d20 + 28 - 1 ⇒ (19) + 28 - 1 = 46

But the bird withstands.

The bird heavily injured turns away and flies! Less than 75% of health, so it tries to escape. Any AOO? 60 ft fly speed so 180 ft away from you

No Reactive Strike here, unfortunately.

Ann swings at the injured owl as it takes off, but only manages to ruffle a few feathers. The bird is too quick. Practicality overcomes irritation at its escape: there's still another bird, and she's more than happy to make it bleed. Dashing over to the remaining owl, she feints with a Prayer Attack before aiming a swipe of her sawtooth saber at its outstretched neck.

Blech. I was going to jump off the side to Strike and then jump back onto the roof in a blaze of Aloof Firmament glory, and then realized the bird was 180' away. Sien will have to let this one go.

Yeah the crits were att Ann, did not update the dice, and I forgot the resistances and I forgot the Gang up from Sien ;) Was certain only Ketsu-Kiba have that.

The assasins responds with fury of blows, Ann swings three tiems, each strike accurate and wounding. Sine lands a well aimed spellstrike, followed by long jump moving around the bird. Ketsu-kiba inspires his fellow assasins and makes a strike of his own which is also followed after by Moonlight. All of that break the birds spirit who departs. AOO for the fleeing bird

As you take a break and look around, you spot that the previously manned war machines are standing vacant. THe fight was moderate with 2 birds, there is no saying of pulling 6 more soldiers

However you hear sounds from behind the door to north of you, soon the room cracks open and a figure goes out

"Who goes there!" The fight gets you 1 inflitration + 5 awarness points => triggers the complication

DC 38 Deception (to use trickery or a disguise to convince the guards the PCs have a right to be here) or DC 42 Intimidation (to threaten the guards into silence)! The DC is steep due to awarness points +> this can lead you right into another fight!

You hide the body on the roof where Sien once stood, then you listen under the door and slowly crack it open, too afraid to heal the wounds where you were. The room on the other side was empty so you sneak inside ...

This bedroom is spacious, with newer and more comfortable furniture than the rest of the fortress. A large bed, an oak writing desk, an armoire, and an armor rack furnish the room. Hanging from the north wall is a fishing pole and net with several lures hooked into the netting, all of which look immaculately clean and well-cared for. The south wall has a mural depicting an impossibly tall warrior covered in plate mail, his red eyes glowing through the slit in his helm. The warrior wields a greatsword and is slashing through armies on a vast blood-soaked beach. A small stone altar with a softly glowing smear of blood atop it stands in the room’s southeast corner.

Sien can get it. He creates a Greater Elixir of Life and hands it to Ann.

Healing: 7d6 + 18 ⇒ (3, 6, 3, 4, 5, 3, 3) + 18 = 45

Just right!

With healing magic and patching everyone, and a fast swig from the bottle you heal your wounds. You know that after assasination you would stil need to escape the place, so you make sure to be ready.

Feel free to dispel the ritual and the thing will begin ;)

Ketsu-kiba nods and when Hammid is ready to Dispel will use her wand of Zealous Conviction.

10 minutes of "You bypass your targets' rational minds, instilling them with unshakable conviction and zeal. The targets each gain 12 temporary Hit Points and a +2 status bonus to Will saves against mental effects, as their faith overrides the signals from their own bodies and minds."

Hammid traces one gauntleted finger along the runes that reverberate with holy energy, pinches with a gauntleted thumb a piece of dust or other trinket, and smashes it in his metal palm - the divine weapon of his other patron, the mysterious wanderer Ng!

With a second, low verbal prayer, he forks his clerical conscience to his other patron - the dubiously sinister Achaekek!

"I command the Removal of this Protective Ward, that our High Mission sees it's way Unimpeded..."

Will the Gods collaborate to aid their shared supplicant - or will their ascended egos clash in cosmic jealousy?
